I do enjoy your tutorials. I am in art class at my local community college. My instructor has us pick a picture and paint it. The instructor doesn't really teach much of anything. I use your tutorials a lot in understanding how to accomplish certain aspects of painting. Thank you for your tutorials!
That is awesome - I am stoked that I can help you in your creative adventures. If you ever have any question, feel free to ask and I will see what I can do to make a video on it :)
Glad you are enjoying them. We just did a few Acrylic vids ( I will make them into a playlist for ya ). I will see how I can weave more of them in, in future videos 💪
Hello @WildCreates. I wanna paint trees in oil and watercolours. I tryed acrylic paint. I struggled whit my acrylic paint more than i do whit oil and watercolours. I paint better whit watercolours and oil paint. Thanks @Wildcreates for all you,re painting youtube video,s. You are a great teacher. I whised i had a teacher like you in my art class wen i was in middle school. But i am here now learing😊👋🏾✌🏾 peace
Interesting. On wet on wet I don't make Ross style pines, but like this. I add black for a darker shadow, yellow green pthalo, midtones are sap green, bit of Prussian blue.
You couldn’t think of a fourth tree option…. How about bonsai trees, trees in winter time, fall foliage, birch trees, palm trees, weeping willows, looking up at trees, etc….. a quick google search would have probably helped with some inspiration here. Save the trees 🌲
Couldn't think of a 4th? What about Aspen? Weeping Willows? Apple trees with plump, red apples? Oaks. Fern trees and palms. Redwoods. Trees covered in Spanish Moss. Trees covered in Kudzu? Mimosa trees! Cherry trees! These trees all have a distinctive look to them.
Damn those are all good suggestions. Maybe we will save those for a part 2 ❤ I knew we were getting into trouble when we started to drink and have fun painting with the video ha ha ha
Its not required but highly recommended - I do it on all my finished art pieces. If you new to varnish try this product below: th-cam.com/video/mZfZ1V8g2VE/w-d-xo.html
Your so good at this! My trees still look like crap! I’m on my second page and still can’t get the pine tree right! I’m not blaming you , I guess I need more practice!
I always recommend just take a spare canvas and paint only trees. 1 thru 10 will suck, 11 through 20 look alright and by tree 30 thru 50 you will be like. Holy crap... that kinda looks like a tree. I have 2 older videos that may help hone your skills a little. Check them out and leave a comment there too ( we will call it even :) ) Simple Tree: th-cam.com/video/kYWI3BAu-6k/w-d-xo.html Winter Tree: th-cam.com/video/Cmdyhg283pU/w-d-xo.html
I like your videos.🎉🎉 But i gotta call lier lier 😂pants on fire for the last tree painting. At the start of painting that last 🌲 you said to leave some white showing through, but at the end well there's NO WHITE SHOWING! 🎉 You don't have to lie bro😂
This dude needs more attention. Cause the videos he does are so inspirational and helpfull. Also dudes painting skills are on a new whole level.
I appreciate the love... I am glad my channel can help you in your painting adventures.
agree
Hello, fellow Wild. Thanks for helping me with trees!
Glad I can help you dominate those trees 🔥

@@WildCreates painting upsidedown? I am not quite sure I understand the concept of this or how to achieve it.
If you are talking about the African tree. I only mean the motion of the brush "Upside-down U motion" that creates the umbrella shape.
@@WildCreates my instructor wanted me to paint a composition upside down from a random photo.
I kinda get the exercise.
I will sometimes turn the canvas or flip it - This way its easier on my hand and motion that feels more natural to me 💪
Thanks man, hope to see more acrylic tips. Gonna save this vid for when I get back to painting. Keep up the great work.

Its that bit of Prussian blue that makes it unique 🔥
Note..mix cadmium red with black for tree trunks. Highlight with white
Love hearing your approach :)
