I'm NOT missing HOS a second time. Her crazy smile, lore and epic combat animations make her a must pull for me. I haven't been as enthusiastic for Honkai in years until her trailer made my jaw drop.
i love Seele, but hearing "gear depended" makes me pass, i just don't have gear for her plus not sure i want do 50 pull to just her weapon, when i can pull other valks, their gears and try get better stigma's
truth be told if you ever get into the competitive stuff in honkai you might have to start a new account considering your current ones spent all stamina on story mode UD, most competitive people stops at finishing chapter 9 as thats the end stick of newbie rewards and beyond chp9 ppl dont want to level too fast and get into higher brackets unprepared but all i just said is null if you can just whale of course

Almost a year later, and I'd say out of all the "modern valks" Nyx is probably one of the worst in the game. To me anyways. Incredibly gear dependent needing pretty much her weapon and all 3 stigs? Check. Incredibly reliant on not one, but TWO ice supports (Since the recently released Felis helps a lot with the whole ult cooldown thing) to get to her burst phase quicker because her non-burst phase combat just does not feel good? Check. Oh, and you need both of those supports' gear at least 2-3/4 to ensure those supports are able to support Nyx to the best of their capabilities? Absolutely check. And all that just to rank high against one boss in the game because we only have ONE Quantum boss in Abyss. /Sigh. To clarify, Nyx by herself is not a bad valk. If she had more practical application to make up for her gear dependency, she'd probably be a lot better. As it stands there is no excuse for a valk that's so expensive to build to have virtually no coverage. And all this isn't even talking about her non-existent MA usage. There is virtually no reason or account-benefit to pull on Nyx now-a-days. She's pretty much just a consolation prize for players like me who've been playing since around or before her release and decided to pull for her. Because those players more than likely have at least one of her two mandatory ice supports built up by now.
Hmm yeah no, those supports works for SW and HoR as well. Also what meta valk that doesn't need fullset gear to rank high nowadays? Besides, she can also do Hellmaru, Benares, also HOMU in abyss. Also 1 second kill in HOMU, hellmaru, and now she'll get SSS tonatiuh ( but this is MA... Sometimes the lineup is very weird). Nyx is the reason i got full 4 cycle of myriad this patch. Also the worst battlesuit that needed constant maintenance (even her weapon and stigmata have separate banner is BKE). Are you one of those marisahonkai's cronies with NyX B4d DuDU g0oD attitude? But one thing I can agree is Nyx is not the best thing to pull right now. Her scores in nutral field is tied with IO and she's more f2p friendly
Plus the fact that there are 2 herrscher ice dps's in the game now (One of which is farmable and has craftable signature gears) just makes Nyx even less appealing to pull

Technically they shouldn't since they release only one Herrscher every year. Even tho there was only a 6 months gap between HoT and HoS, they were still in separate years so HoS is our Herrscher of 2021. But again, you never know lol

i 100% agree. i've been playing her and she is atrocious without the gear. and my gacha luck was so bad, i got verne T 5 times and verne M 3 times, including the one i got from wishing well which was so bad. i also got allen poe M and columbs M and 3 copies of sanguine gaze. finally got the B stigmata and the difference is huge
for those w/o hos, I still think you should prioritize her over nyx. although that soul link thing is giving me really bad vibes in which she could most likely gonna be a must-have if and when a new boss with soul link mechanic drops and they spam it in ma and/or abyss to entice nyx pulls; and let's not kid ourselves, it will happen and those without nyx will suffer just like me when I skipped hot and stubbornly stuck with hf or rimestar w/o da. overall similar to what keeb said, safe play is to wait for hershey. if there's no hershey this july, then you still have your saved crystals for when it does drop, or for whenever the usual spending event comes back. eitherway its a win-win.

Well i got her with 1 pull and not haveing alternatives like HoR, i feel like not useing her or gearing her up is a waste specialy in abyss to cut soullinks is more helpfull than i expected. What helps me is skipping LE SSS part with useing jinwei T, scott M and beethoven B on MA. LE SS is pretty affordable and lets be real without sign gear it does not realy matter kinda

Well I'm honestly glad I watched this video, makes me feel a bit better after skipping nyx and having to skip HOS in order to save enough crystals and have to only pull 40 times to be guranteed elysia in the update coming in two days. It takes me absolutely forever to get even just 1000 crystals so I think having to pull for her stignature gear (which would be impossible to do in the week her banner was up) and then only having medicore support valakyries would just not be worth it
Me a free-to-play with 3k crystal earned so far, I must get ScN even without instantly pulling all her sign equipment reasons are: 1. I can pull her weapon and stigma if available in later updates or days 2. She can still be useful if experimented with other equipments and lineup 3. MOST importantly, Seele is one of my waifu's in the game

I got her by surprise and well, here I am. Not complaining tho I love her. But I have a hard time getting gear cuz I’m so lost and confused with the variety of gear there is
yea i’m gonna skip on her, i’m trying to build my support valks with their proper stigma and weapons. at the moment i’m trying to level up my most used equipment, specially the weapons to get more pri arms.
I use her with skadi and full ana set. She still rocks hard even without any of the meta equips. I can use her ult barrage with hold attack about two times (once when ult is activated, build max stacks with basic attack chain, hold attack barrage).
Two questions from opposite ends of the spectrum: 1. You put Nyx lower on the pull priority than HoR. That list is for people who have none of these Valks, right? Shouldn't she above, just because of her wider coverage, so for people who don't have all the options, Nyx will be better than HoR, cause she also covers up other bosses? 2. From the opposite end of the spectrum of spending, could you in such videos go over which Valkyrie rank upgrades make a big difference, such as, SSS bonus for HoS, is S2 bonus for Nyx big, or not big?
I first wanted to skip her too but after I saw how her moveset and her char itself looks like I couldn't resist doing a 10x pull. I was at 98 till pity and got her omg I was so happy

I wish this is true because I feel it would be a bit too greedy. But we can't really tell the future after all.
That said the big unit not need to be a Herrscher to be fair. It can be a good chance to make a new kind of meta stomp unit.

Well I'm honestly glad I watched this video, makes me feel a bit better after skipping nyx and having to skip HOS in order to save enough crystals and have to only pull 40 times to be guranteed elysia in the update coming in two days. It takes me absolutely forever to get even just 1000 crystals so I think having to pull for her stignature gear (which would be impossible to do in the week her banner was up) and then only having medicore support valakyries would just not be worth it
Me a free-to-play with 3k crystal earned so far, I must get ScN even without instantly pulling all her sign equipment reasons are:
1. I can pull her weapon and stigma if available in later updates or days
2. She can still be useful if experimented with other equipments and lineup
3. MOST importantly, Seele is one of my waifu's in the game

The spending event expand to the second gacha valk after her which could be hos, sooo you could pull for that. But nyx is bae

I just started this game and I was very lucky enough to pull for her. Sad to hear that she's gear dependent but I really do love her design.
Its ok, you can get her gear when she get rerun, for early game just follow beginner guide on keebster channel, its very useful for beginner.

yea i’m gonna skip on her, i’m trying to build my support valks with their proper stigma and weapons. at the moment i’m trying to level up my most used equipment, specially the weapons to get more pri arms.

I never reccommend watching honkai videos since its just too confusing. I think its better to discover things yourself and decide things yourself :D
I use her with skadi and full ana set. She still rocks hard even without any of the meta equips.
I can use her ult barrage with hold attack about two times (once when ult is activated, build max stacks with basic attack chain, hold attack barrage).

Two questions from opposite ends of the spectrum:
1. You put Nyx lower on the pull priority than HoR. That list is for people who have none of these Valks, right? Shouldn't she above, just because of her wider coverage, so for people who don't have all the options, Nyx will be better than HoR, cause she also covers up other bosses?
2. From the opposite end of the spectrum of spending, could you in such videos go over which Valkyrie rank upgrades make a big difference, such as, SSS bonus for HoS, is S2 bonus for Nyx big, or not big?
I first wanted to skip her too but after I saw how her moveset and her char itself looks like I couldn't resist doing a 10x pull. I was at 98 till pity and got her omg I was so happy

Her freeze trauma is really hard to use so she lose on houdou
