NS is so satisfying to play when you get things down right, even if I don't recommend her right now, I still played her hard to the end and others can do so if they feel inclined to. Mihoyo knew what they did when they designed HoS skills.
if you keep working at it you'll make it, a lot of the assumptions in this vid are assuming you're playing your hardest and playing near perfect which is sometimes not a good thing to assume... In any case you will need either hard skill / balding or a wallet, that's how these gacha games go xD

Honestly with you there but came in a week before the Genshin Crossover. Advice is very awesome for characters to pick and use but with being still very early in the game most characters are either freebies done by the game itself or something I can plan to obtain but have to claw to get to due to being FTP.
After 600 + days and a lot of money, I've managed to make my way to Nirvana, got all Valkyries and almost all gear needed for abyss. (just missing 1 stigma for Anchora). Thankfully I've started the game 2 years ago, I'd never have the courage to start from strach with 5.0 Lots of respect for new players!

The only thing makes me happy is hor still being one of the best dps since 3.3 Despite losing to nyx interms of high coverege, she still relevant. hoping she will get a time stop on her ult since hor ult animation is waste of time in abyss, same as hot.

If you’re a new player you should be rolling for HoS, then HoF, then HoT, then HoR. After that you can pretty much get who you want. Being competitive in hi3 is pointless, all the top players are whales who don’t earn there ranking and just pay for it. Don’t be like that new players. Earn your rankings. Don’t just pay to be at the top. And yes whaling is a huge factor in retaining nirvana. Don’t let anyone tell you it’s not they are most likely whales . You need to know mechanics as well but mechanics aren’t hard to learn. Make sure you’re also focusing on supports. They are important . SA, HB, raven, fischl etc.
whaling isn't even close to enough to be competitive in this game. you have to whale and AT LEAST be able to copy peoples bilibili runs(though not understanding the game play will mean blind copying probably wont be that successful), which requires a lot of patience and a decent amount of mechanical skill. you cannot pay to win in this game lol, you need to know how to play. i know global is less competitive than sea but even that server isnt just pay to win lol

see other player gameplay. Depends on what's the stage/boss, search it on youtube. See what they use and what they doing. If you miss any of the gear/valk, you can ask veteran player what to use as alternative

@@fish3117 go for HoF and HoS. HoS is the best physical supp by far. HoF is the best fire DPS. SN is not that great anymore, but in early game could be usefull in dirac since you have to deal with counter weather (quantum type makes her not having any weakness type in most cases)

You don't even know how much I needed this. Thank you for making such an easy to understand video. A general question: if you own some of signature gear for a Valk (like 1 or 2 parts of the stigma set), is it better to use it or to use the f2p option?
Take this from someone who has the f2p gears and some incomplete gacha gears... i'd say stick to the f2p gears until ypu conpleted it since the way you play with f2p gears is different to actual endgame gears. Having an incomplete endgame gear will always be lower than a complete f2p gear

Been playing for a month. I got a bit disappointed when I got Rozaliya on dorm supply but after learning she has an augment core that turns her into pretty much a damage monster made me feel lucky to have her
I would just recommend doing Universal Mirage every time you get new tickets, on the highest difficulty you can. And just keep farming them as you’re able. Because even if you’re stuck on like level 1-2 you can just transmute stigmata, or eventually buy the things you need in the shop. Starter Missions + story stages give a lot of AE & SS Imaginons, so I’d recommend using those sets for years characters until late in the game. My lightning dmg team can do all 6 floors at level 60 (missing a lot of skill levels). The real pain ends up being gold.
@@Champr12 HoT, Fischl, and Phantom Iron. Fischl is at SSS, and have her full stigmata set + weapon(all her stigmata are fully leveled). Phantom Iron is A with Azure Storm (max) and 2pc Edison, and HoT is at S with 2 pc Darwin and MagStorm. Plus I bring along Jingwei. Sometimes I don’t make it within the timeframe, but I can still generally clear it consistently.

I saw HoS trailer and instantly downloaded this on pc (I know I can't get her atm but thats okay, we save forever). And seeing as I'm always out of Resin on Genshin, a perfect game to play. Im loving it. Im not too sure, even with this and the beginners guide, what valks I should be farming. Part of the special login reward rn gives Darkbolt Jonin for free and I've also got 35 fragments for her already (probably should spent the asterite on starlight but o well). I pulled Phoenix, Goushinnso Memento, dimension breaker, Celestial hymn and Phoenix for my S characters. Notable A ranks I have are Gyakushinn Miko, Yamabuki armor, blueberry blitz, night squire, and the precursors to Hawk of the fog. Any advice would be appreciated from some veterans and great videos Keebster
As much as I really want herrscher of flamescion and kinda need her because my only fire Valkyries are VK and the basic ones I really need to focus on full gearing my herrshcers and actually gearing my supports it sucks but at level 85 I’m not doing so great so I kinda had to make that choice, hopefully I’ll get her in 5.2
Thats not high setting lmo and he doesn't have hdr mode so that's why the skill are colored like that its like low or mid graphic depending on what he set btw same always framedrops
HoS has carried me through literally everything in the game so far. I knew from the moment I leveled her to 50 that she was the most powerful thing to ever grace this game
HoS is so incredibly strong that when I reach Red Lotus level 4 (non Ex tier) in -30% physical damage PSY-type, I can still clear 4 floors (YES 4 soul-link pairs included). Ofc my HoS had all the dps gear with Astrologos full Shujin (how lucky I got all Shujin when rolled for HoS gear) and SS Celestial with Glut Mei Newt. But even when the weather works against me, HoS still "supports" by killing everything in her way. Talk about OP
I played honkai after genshin but now i cant stop playing honkai lol xD the hard mechanics in the game is so interesting but i do miss open world adventure in genshin though
But the first release banner is usually the ONLY time they offer the guaranteed 50 roll for equipment. Therein lies the problem. Wait for subsequent spending events, or go for the guaranteed roll now?
I'm planning to the same for HoF. I do have 8k crystals but using them in spending event will be much better so that I can get extra S rank valk frag and upgrade KMB to SSS
@@87togabito if you're talking about expansion equipment supply it's rates are awful and you pretty much need 50 pull guarantee to get the stuff. Letting go off that banner is ok while the focus supply for the signature equipment always return with the character banner which has higher rates and other good equipment. But you do you I guess.

Is there an explaination for FT not being "able to utilize SA"? Is it mainly because FT wants shui TMB? Still new to the game and curious as to why you mentioned it
it can be that but also , if you use SA , then you have to choose between DK or HoS (DK for FTD´s QTE is Essential but you will be without Impair unless you bring Briareus EX and with HoS you won´t be able to trigger FTD´s QTE easily)
After watching the video now I understand why PPL on discord freaked out when I asked them i got HoS on my first 10pull cuz someone there told me to try my luck. Damn she just made me love her by her gameplay only.
I came here from genshin impact and honkai is a great game! I actually got herrscher of flamescion on my first day in 10 rolls and from the description you gave me I’m guessing she’s a great character!
SN will have a lot of memorial arena utility because she has zero need for SP. Everything she has is based off of either building meter or waiting for ability cooldowns. Which means you can throw every single thing you have into the first 5 seconds of the fight. She is extremely friendly with longer rotations with support set up. Also, she her abilities are all heavy, which is both useful against shield and Doom specifically.
Idk why I'm watching this when I'm no where near to unlocking end game content, but it's good to know that Starchasm nyx is amazing, ill try to get her when it's possible. Also haxxor bunny's gear... I only joined near the end of her banner so I don't have her gear
Glad I got HoV for free last event from the 7 days and have CH for her to support HoV about to return again to this game after a months break, this guide is good refresher
man after watching this i decided to do a 10 pull for the flame kiana and got her! it was my first time pulling on any banner except the ones we get tickets for free.
Hawk of the Fog was my light during F2P beginner time. for those who starts honkai now, Hawk of the Fog is highly recommendable. easy combo, high dmg, and does not die because her middle of skill combo has invisible moment which can dodge most of incoming attacks.
Have full HoV, HoT, HoR, HoS with Pri-Arms but at endgame the real scores come from the supports. In order to go to Red Lotus you need fully geared supports like Starlit Astrologos and Haxxor Bunny. Literally every team in Agony 3 has them and does scores of 800+. As a f2p it's hard matching them but hopefully 5.0 will have good gacha luck.
As an exalted Red Lotus retainer, its easier up here than in Agony. I learned it after playing my Friend's account who want to go up to Red Lotus as well but can't, he have a good account, but damn the competition down there is insane.
@@minemine1611 The problem is that Agony 3 is too easy and all players have good DPS so the scores are very high. Only way to be better are having geared supports. I constantly go to RL but drop cus it's too hard there. They should make a middle difficulty between RP and Abyss.
As for HotF - she relies on supports, so if you don’t have good geared supports then she’s not for you And for Starlit Astrologos - she’s basically doing pretty the same job as CH, but is f2p friendly

@@fish3117 go for HoF and HoS. HoS is the best physical supp by far. HoF is the best fire DPS.
SN is not that great anymore, but in early game could be usefull in dirac since you have to deal with counter weather (quantum type makes her not having any weakness type in most cases)

A general question: if you own some of signature gear for a Valk (like 1 or 2 parts of the stigma set), is it better to use it or to use the f2p option?
Take this from someone who has the f2p gears and some incomplete gacha gears... i'd say stick to the f2p gears until ypu conpleted it since the way you play with f2p gears is different to actual endgame gears. Having an incomplete endgame gear will always be lower than a complete f2p gear

Sad, that Twilight Paladin isn't even included as honorable mention. She still carries me on Red Lotus and Memorial just fine.
It is sad, but it's also sad that she is still in the same state since her release in v3.4, doesn't mean she's bad, I just don't recommend her

Missed getting HoS on her debut and her first rerun. Finally got her last night. Had one roll left afterwards, and it got me her weapon too.
Been playing for a month. I got a bit disappointed when I got Rozaliya on dorm supply but after learning she has an augment core that turns her into pretty much a damage monster made me feel lucky to have her

I would just recommend doing Universal Mirage every time you get new tickets, on the highest difficulty you can. And just keep farming them as you’re able. Because even if you’re stuck on like level 1-2 you can just transmute stigmata, or eventually buy the things you need in the shop. Starter Missions + story stages give a lot of AE & SS Imaginons, so I’d recommend using those sets for years characters until late in the game. My lightning dmg team can do all 6 floors at level 60 (missing a lot of skill levels). The real pain ends up being gold.

@@Champr12 HoT, Fischl, and Phantom Iron. Fischl is at SSS, and have her full stigmata set + weapon(all her stigmata are fully leveled). Phantom Iron is A with Azure Storm (max) and 2pc Edison, and HoT is at S with 2 pc Darwin and MagStorm. Plus I bring along Jingwei. Sometimes I don’t make it within the timeframe, but I can still generally clear it consistently.

I saw HoS trailer and instantly downloaded this on pc (I know I can't get her atm but thats okay, we save forever). And seeing as I'm always out of Resin on Genshin, a perfect game to play. Im loving it. Im not too sure, even with this and the beginners guide, what valks I should be farming. Part of the special login reward rn gives Darkbolt Jonin for free and I've also got 35 fragments for her already (probably should spent the asterite on starlight but o well). I pulled Phoenix, Goushinnso Memento, dimension breaker, Celestial hymn and Phoenix for my S characters. Notable A ranks I have are Gyakushinn Miko, Yamabuki armor, blueberry blitz, night squire, and the precursors to Hawk of the fog. Any advice would be appreciated from some veterans and great videos Keebster

As much as I really want herrscher of flamescion and kinda need her because my only fire Valkyries are VK and the basic ones I really need to focus on full gearing my herrshcers and actually gearing my supports it sucks but at level 85 I’m not doing so great so I kinda had to make that choice, hopefully I’ll get her in 5.2

Thats not high setting lmo and he doesn't have hdr mode so that's why the skill are colored like that its like low or mid graphic depending on what he set btw same always framedrops

perfect timing for the guide, with few new Valks right around the corner I am curious to know where ro invest.
HoS is so incredibly strong that when I reach Red Lotus level 4 (non Ex tier) in -30% physical damage PSY-type, I can still clear 4 floors (YES 4 soul-link pairs included). Ofc my HoS had all the dps gear with Astrologos full Shujin (how lucky I got all Shujin when rolled for HoS gear) and SS Celestial with Glut Mei Newt. But even when the weather works against me, HoS still "supports" by killing everything in her way. Talk about OP
I hope you can make an updated guide for patch 5.5!

But the first release banner is usually the ONLY time they offer the guaranteed 50 roll for equipment.

I'm planning to the same for HoF. I do have 8k crystals but using them in spending event will be much better so that I can get extra S rank valk frag and upgrade KMB to SSS

@@87togabito if you're talking about expansion equipment supply it's rates are awful and you pretty much need 50 pull guarantee to get the stuff. Letting go off that banner is ok while the focus supply for the signature equipment always return with the character banner which has higher rates and other good equipment. But you do you I guess.

it can be that but also , if you use SA , then you have to choose between DK or HoS (DK for FTD´s QTE is Essential but you will be without Impair unless you bring Briareus EX and with HoS you won´t be able to trigger FTD´s QTE easily)

You're pronouncing Flamescion wrong. Scion is pronounced cy-on with the cy like in cyber.
After watching the video now I understand why PPL on discord freaked out when I asked them i got HoS on my first 10pull cuz someone there told me to try my luck. Damn she just made me love her by her gameplay only.

Thank god, just started and I was really stuck on what to farm
SN will have a lot of memorial arena utility because she has zero need for SP. Everything she has is based off of either building meter or waiting for ability cooldowns. Which means you can throw every single thing you have into the first 5 seconds of the fight. She is extremely friendly with longer rotations with support set up.
Also, she her abilities are all heavy, which is both useful against shield and Doom specifically.

man after watching this i decided to do a 10 pull for the flame kiana and got her! it was my first time pulling on any banner except the ones we get tickets for free.
Hawk of the Fog was my light during F2P beginner time.
for those who starts honkai now, Hawk of the Fog is highly recommendable.
easy combo, high dmg, and does not die because her middle of skill combo has invisible moment which can dodge most of incoming attacks.
Have full HoV, HoT, HoR, HoS with Pri-Arms but at endgame the real scores come from the supports. In order to go to Red Lotus you need fully geared supports like Starlit Astrologos and Haxxor Bunny. Literally every team in Agony 3 has them and does scores of 800+. As a f2p it's hard matching them but hopefully 5.0 will have good gacha luck.
As an exalted Red Lotus retainer, its easier up here than in Agony.
I learned it after playing my Friend's account who want to go up to Red Lotus as well but can't, he have a good account, but damn the competition down there is insane.
@@minemine1611 The problem is that Agony 3 is too easy and all players have good DPS so the scores are very high. Only way to be better are having geared supports. I constantly go to RL but drop cus it's too hard there. They should make a middle difficulty between RP and Abyss.
HoS is what everyone should be pulling she is great and is very useful

As for HotF - she relies on supports, so if you don’t have good geared supports then she’s not for you
