You neglected to mention the hollow stock, which is very useful for storing bugout items. In mine I have a rope type field cleaning kit, a rudimentary first aid kit, a bic lighter, and two extra shells. My 12 gauge is my truck gun and carried in an old tennis racket bag I got at a
Goodwill store.

Metal ... steel to be more precise. The trigger guard is the release to open the breech.
