It's crazy how I haven't played or thought of this game in about 10 years, but I remember every single scene perfectly. I played this game over and over so I guess it's deeply imprinted into my mind. I had pretty much memorized every scene and sequence from how much I played, and it's a wild feeling to remember it so vividly after seemingly forgetting it entirely.
man I wish these would come back some day, these were amazing to play as a kid and even today, they're extremely charming with the animations and concepts they thought up
Definitely. Even today, the I Spy series holds up as one of the strongest hidden object games of the 2000's. You can tell that every scene was crafted to be equal parts awe-inducing yet also magically realistic. Furthermore, the fact that the game never pandered to its target audience makes it as equally enjoyable to play through today as it was more than a decade earlier. But yeah, it would also be incredible to see the series rereleased on the online marketplaces. It may be its best shot at staying alive on more modern computers, assuming that current players do not have access to older computers.
Yeah, hopefully one day they should bring them back for a remake or remastered on Steam, Nintendo Switch, and 3DS with updated graphics, visual effects, challenges, and easter eggs from the old versions of the games.
They really are works of art. I have both I Spy: Fantasy and I Spy: Spooky Mansion that I got from my school when it shut down, and I got an external disk drive to play them. Honestly a priceless experience, not only because of the charming look and feel of the games, but also because of the nostalgia value.
Woooo the space one was my JAM. I always thought the first gem's energy fuzz looked the tastiest. Like a fake orange juice soda. The blast off sequence still gives me chills. The little hesitation on 7, the sci-fi soundtrack, ahhh all good.

So much nostalgia in these games. I spy spooky mansion also scared the crap out of me as a kid cause I was scared of everything lol, but I loved it so much
@@speedymatt1236 It's true. In Endless Ocean: Blue World, there's an area where you can dive deep into the abyss, and there are these scary looking sea creatures including a giant isopod.

I believe that the success of the modern game 'Inscryption' is owed to games like these. Similar to claymation or stop motion, there remains a quality of "hand-made" - of wonder, trapped in collections of charming old things. Even in these lovely pc games, there is still room to have your own imagination, to sit and search, quietly. I can still remember playing this and the pirate one on the old pc in my childhood home - not many good memories there, and this was undoubtedly one of them. Thanks for letting me savor a bit of healthy nostalgia. Not trying to resurrect or remake, or being back in past, or do it differently - but just revisit and feel gratitude for a lovely moment. Thank you black hammer productions!

I beg of you, is there anyway to obtain standalone digital copies of the various I Spy PC games, like this one, Spooky Mansion Deluxe, Treasure Hunt, and Mystery? I'm dying to relive the nostalgia.
Your best bet to find these games will likely be in online marketplaces like eBay and Amazon. These are sources I know will provide you with the full experience of the game, though you should definitely consider price in conjunction with operating system compatibility when you are out searching. If you want to download them, investigating websites like Big Fish Games and Wild Tangent may be the best option to do so. However, be aware that it seems like the downloadable games have only a fraction of the content that the physical copies do. Because of this, I personally recommend the former strategy for the I Spy series as those discs provide an experience similar to their respective longplays on the channel.
