  • Can-Am Dan does it again with this great video on how he installed an overhead cooling fan to beat the heat that the cab traps while on those summer rides! Lots of folks are looking into this option and it's a great way to make a custom cooling option!

    Jesus, I love your videos. So well put together and links and everything in the description.
    Please update this comment or do a new video after the weekend to let us know if it was worth it. I've considered it but I went on a ride with my Milwaukee m18 fan in the passenger seat blowing on me in a 90 degree Fahrenheit day and it barely helped at all. Wondering how different the roof fans would do.

      Thank you very much! I certainly will let y’all know. Supposed to be 85ish so that should be a great test.

      Hey man just to give you a full season report the fan does everything I need it to! Much cooler in cab and seems to create a positive pressure environment on the floor keeping some of the floor heat coming up. Hope this helps!

    Look sawesome and thank for sharing. Do you happen to remember the length of the short pieces of tubing?

      It would depend on your fan size and where the mounting tabs line up to ensure solid clearance for the mounting holes. You really need to design and build it on the bench as you go kinda deal.

      @ogcanamdan , thank you for the quick response. I should have been more clear with my question. I have the same year model can am, same size tuning and same size fan. I was able to build this out yesterday (frame welded). Again, thank you very much for taking the time to share this video!

      That is awesome! You will absolutely love it! We run ours all the time to help pressurize the cab a bit and it really helps!

      Its easier than you think! Thankfully I did not have to buy the stick of aluminum but in total I have less than hundred into it. You can do it!

    With the light on the switch staying on....will it eventually kill the battery?

    • @ogcanamdan
      @ogcanamdan 16 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I have mine wired to a secondary battery and I just turn it on and off there. If you have it wired to the machine battery I would put a switch in between to turn it off and on.

      Thanks for watching! I used the controller in the links below the video description

    Did you just run the wires to the controller? No fuse or relay?

    • @ogcanamdan

      No inline fuses or relay. Worked perfectly so far.

    Great looking, great build, but I would be cautious of females with long hair, hate for it to get tangled in the fan

      Thanks for watching and appreciate the compliments! My wife has long hair and we have had zero issues so far. We tend to run them on about 50% and it is a nice gentle breeze on you all the time.
