Between the 2 feral cats that I grabbed as kittens and my Border Collie, I can barely turn over when trying to sleep. My pets are my best friends and always make me smile or laugh.
I completely get that. I have 3 dogs and 7 cats. One dog and one cat sleep at my husbands and I get the rest. Lol. It’s tight but I’ll learning. I’ve lined one side of my bed with pillows. 3 sleep there. That helps. I’m the process of adding a table beside my bed for pillows so I can have the whole bed. Lol. 😊

I had six beautiful (mainly Persians) cats.
My black Persian would sleep on my pillow, wrap himself around my head and purr me to sleep!

Broccoli and Dilly! Precious girl and darling boy. Cats are intuitive and can be extremely loving. You normally need to earn a cat’s trust, unlike dogs, but once that happens, expect cuddles and sweetness. Thank you for sharing your story.

Same here. Sadly, humans can be so cruel to animals and as a result, stranded Cats and Dogs loose trust because of abuse and being abandoned for a long time. I love animals.
Yes I agree.The stray cat problem in Florida is pitiful.A lot of people still don't spay and neuter and think it's better to dump them outdoors than to bring them to a shelter.Very sad and avoidable.

As someone who loves cats and dogs I must say that Dilly sounds like my ideal little cuddle monster. Cats are rarely what you expect them to be and usually so much more.
Purrfect move, fighting and stopping at the same split second to hear the birds. Funny. Love cats!!
We found my best bud as a little kitten under our front hedge. We don't know why he was alone or where Mom Cat was but his eyes were barely open. We fed him from a dropper then a special kitten bottle and now he's a 14 lb monster boy. His official name is Stache for his little moustache, but we all just call him Stinky. Our dignified old lady Kelsey, a German shepherd who is possessed of _STRONG_ maternal instincts adopted him too, cleaned him constantly no matter how recently we'd done so, made sure he was always wrapped up in a cocoon of love. He grew up with her, with Kodiak his Alaskan Malamute older brother, with Max our quiet, stealthy, cuddly black cat, and a few years later, another Shepherd puppy little brother, Reilly.
I have never encountered in my life a cat that acts more like a dog. He even meows weird. He rolls in the dirt our malamute digs up and is like the site manager for what we call our Mal's "construction projects" which is a fancy way of describing turning the yard into a lunar landscape. Both of them in the yard side by side under Mom Dogs watchful eye, on their backs, rolling in mud.
We love him dearly, our other cat Max has never seemed to know what to make of him but still loves him the way you'd love your excitable and eccentric younger brother who always seems to be covered in mechanical grease and likes to blow things up. I certainly don't know what that's like from personal experience, lol.
Cats are great, weird, wonderful little guys and anyone who says they're a "cat person" or "dog person" simply hasn't met the one that's gonna work their way into their heart and stay there.

Our first cat strolled onto our farm 8 years ago, checked us out, and adopted us. Sadly, we didn’t have her long, but she really opened our eyes to the loveliness of cats. ATM, we have two adorable lunatics who make us laugh every day.
“Stinky” is a cute and probably completely apt nickname for a cat!

I adopted my cat when he was very young and, like Broccoli, he rolls his tongue but only when he's on his favorite towel because he "nurses" on the towel. I guess he adopted the towel as his mother and even years later, he continues to nurse on and knead the towel! It seems harmless as the towel remains intact and he chills out.

Wish I could have a cat for a companion. But, alas, allergies get in the way. It is better for my health that I not be taking antihistamines if I don't have to. So, no kitties in my life. However, there is a neighborhood kitty who is permitted to free range, so when he is out and about, I can call him by name (he is above responding to "here kitty") and he comes a wandering over for some pets (not one for tummy scratches). Being outside, the allergy thing does not kick in.
And we have wonderful animal channels like this one that spread the joy of animals without the allergies.
