I watched this after Christmas but it was a great to watch. My mother was German and I was born in her home town of Berlin. My father was English and in the English armed forces so from the age of five images from Germany. Many of your traditions I recognise from My childhood but our Christmas's were very English with a few German traditions. Thank you for stirring so many wonderful memories for me. My mother taught me to sew but I have not done it for so long. I have already sock yarn as it was something I wanted to try so I downloaded your free pattern yesterday. I have a quilt that I am making for charity. Once that is finished in just over a week's time I will be trying your pattern. My best wishes for you and your family
