I used to play this game with my dad, he passed away 13 years ago, miss the old days when I was a kid with no worries, just having fun challenging my dad in this game and gta vc or bf vietnam, thanks for the memories

I NEVER played the Single Play portion of this game. this game was way better than the Counter-Strike of that time. But this game died rather quickly. I haven't played this for over 15 years, it's a shame, it was a good game while they supported it, but they abandoned it.

In this video I'm using the unpatched original retail version ( 1.0 ), the game runs perfectly at 1080p on Windows 10 64 Bits as long as you remove the now obsolete DRM protection.
At the start of each mission, you may hear minor sound issues, these are only present on the recording.

i wish we've got a remake of this game but with just slightly remade animations with more natural looking hand moves than the stiff ones in the old OG .
and reworked gun models. because the "AK" in GO was a Chinese Norinco , just cut the front sight in half and make the magazine more curved and you got a true authentic 100% Russian AK , reworking also the Olympic M4 cause it was apparently a semi-auto carbine model, and making it a true military M4A1 model . and adding new hands moves to a G11 reload empty anim , with one hand pressing the button which allow the mag to be released , putting a fresh one then turning the charging lever.
sadly nowadays Electronic arts has clearly no interest into remaking one criminally forgotten gem since already two decades . instead they just impose us another Battlefield or FIFA. let's hope one amateur team would finally giving GO an new life in High Definition . pffffffftt i hate having impossible projects in head, maybe in another life who knows...

Yes, I'm using Windows 10 Pro (64-bit). You need to remove the DRM protection for the game to launch, just use one of the many "No-CD Patch" and it will work just fine.
How do you remove it?

I always wanted to know what is that exactly on the shoulder at 2:15? Some kind of cam, some GPS device, or IR laser so they can be distinguished when wear Night Vision Goggles Device, this last is illogical to me, because all the enemy have that too.
It looks like a webcam from the 2000s, but I have no idea. I looked in the manual but they don't say anything about it.
Do you mind explaining to me how can i get it to run on windows 10 64 bit? i have the installation and patch 2.0 and crack and everything. It just won't run on Win 10. what am i missing?

Hello, did you try to cap your framerate using your GPU config software ? Some older games act weird when you have more than 60FPS.

is there anyway to play multiplayer?
There is an unofficial fan-made patch that fixed the game and brought back the online multiplayer but I don't know if it's still active or not: thelostparadise.com/GlobalOps/3.5/

Hello, currently the game cannot be legally purchase anywhere, but you can search the internet for a used copy. The game is inexpensive and works on Windows 10.
