Here is a fairly detailed tutorial showing how I make coptic bound books. I have been wanting to make some of these for ages, it is one of my favourite book forms.
I made a few. They are available in the shop, but I urge you to have a go at making them yourself. It is very satisfying!

Thank you , my mom passed away away few months ago and I got her treasures. Her love letter to my dad and now know how to make a custom book for that❤

It occurs to me that, if you're using photocopies for the book covers, prints of photos of some of your quilts would make gorgeous books.

This is the best tutorial! Well explained and you shared some useful ideas. I never thought of using a catalogue for a book cradle, and bricks for a press. That will save some money. I like how you suggest that signatures that are being stitched should be held open and the rest can be closed and/or kept apart. It keeps one from wrapping thread around the wrong signatures. Thank you so much for this thorough tutorial!❤

I have watched again and completed my second book today. This takes practice and I broke my waxed floss twice and pulled too hard and ripped a hole. But this is my book and I'm learning.
