Thank you for watching! Yes, I did think about going with 12’x12’ stalls. If I ever build another on I will have 12’ leans for larger stalls and more storage on the other side of the barn.
@@peteandrepeatoutdoors7220 just like our forefathers! It’s amazing so many folks don’t think it is possible. We have a TH-cam channel Freedom Ranch Homestead that will document our build if you care to follow. Thanks for the info!
Very nice Barn 👍 40' × 60'. With 10' × 10' Box stalls,,,,,,, I'm surprised you didn't go with 12x12 box stalls,,,,,. But I'm sure you have your reasons

Thanks for the video! Is the wood green?
Thank you for watching! Yes, the wood was cut one or two days before we used it.

Do those gusset plates you made take the place of needing to do mortise and tendon joints where the wood meets?
Yes, they take the place of the mortis joints.
@@peteandrepeatoutdoors7220 sorry for basic Q's, just learning., So this is more "Post and Beam" type building?
@@atubeviewer4942 Yes, I would say it’s more of a post and beam than a traditional timber frame barn.
The posts, beams, and trusses, are they all 6x12's? Q2- How long is the side wall post, that go all the way up to the trusses??
Most of the beams are 6”x8”. The main beam that is 20’ by 6”x10”. If you have any other questions let me know. Thanks
@@peteandrepeatoutdoors7220 tks but, My Q was about the posts not the beams. Size of the posts??? How tall is the tallest post???
@@AnotherCritic100 the side posts are 6”x8”. The tallest beam is just under 17’.
