Note this video was made in 2018. Since then it has been Patched that Class Trials can no longer loot rare mounts. Demon Hunters and Death Knights no longer start at a higher level. That said setting up a level 50 on a RP server or low pop Spanish language server may actually take less time the the Demon Hunter Route did after the leveling changes! Also, chromie time opens up a new phase for more possible Huolons being available, it may be possible to solo it with pet classes or tank classes. And as always, if you have boosts to spare or money to burn on boosts then that's a lot better than camping it on a normal server!
thanks for the update! I came on here because i've been using trial characters to farm coins for sha of anger and read this. I am so defeated tbh. I have 10 trial characters so this is such a bummer.
Finally had the reins drop for me earlier this week, took a long break from WoW and came back, camped Huolon for about 35 days, probably 120 kills, and it finally dropped. I’m quite the happy BM Hunter now :D
In the cave u can find a cristal that give you +15 in all stats about 1 k hp at LV 60 and a 2 2%buff to all stats for one hour must be carry on bag and buff stay if you die .
God, it happened to me today, I started playing the game 11 days ago, and i wanted to see how that part of Pandaria looked like. I saw him flying high, lonely, and i just killed him with my Paladin. And there it was, first try. I thought it was a normal thing, so I just told a friend about it. Then he told me that it as a 0,9% chance to drop, and that he killed more than 400 Huolons without getting the mount. I guess im so freaking lucky

Guys this was nerfed to the ground: *1. Class trials CANNOT loot: Time-Lost Proto-Drake (Reins of the Time-Lost Proto-Drake), Aeonaxx (Reins of the Phosphorescent Stone Drake), Huolon (Reins of the Thundering Onyx Cloud Serpent). Poseidus (Reins of Poseidus)* 2. The new "level 110 class trial" only lasts for 3 hours, down from the 8 hours the old "Legion level 100 class trial" lasted. 3. Auto accept is also removed for pre-made groups, so you can't invite yourself to a party from a trial character on the same account. TL;DR => I think the only method that works is having TWO accounts/multiboxing and inviting your "regular" character (account #1) with your 110 trial character (account #2), note that your "regular" character needs to be level 110 or lower. Of course the DK+Demon Hunter combo is 100% legit and therefore works perfectly as that would be a permanent level 100 character that can loot anything.
Thanks man, just trying to save fellow farmers some wasted time ;) I actually went all out and boosted a Trial character to level 110 (witht he free BfA boost) I got Poseidus on my first visit to Vash'jir (RP realm in Europe). If you're really hardcore the best way is to have Demon Hunter on every "realm-connection" (take into account that even RP realms may be connected to each other). I farmed Huolon today 6 kills in a row in 3 hours (all spawns). I saw several people just AFKing in there probably hoping NPCScan would alert them. As I said, I got all the spawns :)
@@SwabcraftCreates Ahhh, I wondered about that after seeing a different type of server indicator than I remembered. I'm on Silverhand or Sisters of Elune. Something like that. You mentioned having two high level characters to make this easier. Can you not transfer between warmode and regular mode easily?
Well this video was great. My mouth was hanging wide open when I made a trial on a random RP server and every rare on timeless isle was happily patrolling their areas. Killed Huolon 3 times in one hour with minimal effort and got the mount on the 3rd kill. Some luck. I was using windwalker monks since they are op atm and crackling jade lightning has a 40yd range.
got My Houlon mount on the first try. Went up there with a friend to mainly help him get it. As soon as we got there Houlon had just spawned so I shot it down with my BM hunter. Turns out i was very lucky as it dropped for me.

If i understood well, it's more efficiency to hop on another server to get Huolon, because it make you have more chance to meet him hanging around is that so ? Then what you give us as advice is to install server hop and just switch server with are character, (if we don't want to create an other character) and do realm switch on low population server to kill him in chain until we got him right ?
So the way you did is that you connected your reroll in order to wait until the next spawn and you disconnect after killing the serpent and then switched to another character ?

I did the test today and it is quite impressive. I'm in French server, then in order to farm Huolon, i create multiple character on different countries (Spain, UK, Deutschland) and in just 2 hours i killed Huolon 8 times, when in 5 hours yesterday I barely managed to do it 5 times. I thank you for your technique, i think that it will make it way easier to get the mount. Ps : I noticed something. Did Blizzard made MoP map being crossed server now ? I created 2 or 3 characters on different server but sometimes on same country area. What i saw is that when i killed Huolon on one of them, for example UK server 1, when i disconnect to continue on UK server 2, i can saw the corpse of Huolon on the exact same spot than where i killed it before on the server 1. Do you know something about that ?
Matthew Swab I've made a few class trials and so far I've gotten a lot more huolon kills I'm still nervous on whether or not blizzard made it not appear because I'm using pure trial characters not a dh like you mentioned. But I like the video thanks

This no longer works anymore. Not only are no trials available anymore in 9.x but trials can’t loot huolon anymore
So how do you get it now then?

Lucky! That DH will also be useful in you getting a bunch of other toys and mounts.
