  • From 'Everything Everywhere All At Once' sweeping awards season, to Bollywood, K-Pop and K-Drama, Hollywood and pop culture has come a long way from the offensive stereotypes and whitewashing that defined the industry’s origins.
But, as barriers continue to be broken, many more remain standing.
We sit down with filmmaker Amanda Ann-Min Wong for more insight on the achievements thus far - and the work that still remains to support Asian creators and to achieve fair representation.

It's rather amusing watching North America homogenize everything.
Terms such as 'Asian heritage,' 'boack history,' and 'whiteness' are just such lazy and simplistic concepts.

Why aren't you calling those movie-making firms in Asia out or they still haven't come a long way? I am Chinese by the way.

They find it more empowering to beg white people to hire more Chinese people than to look at films made in Asia
