Thank you. I just recorded around an hour of 4k 30fps. 1:21 set to high temp. Room temperature 65 F. Scandisc 256gb 170 mb/s 3,10. with a fully charged battery and usb power. The camera battery is now down by half.
Nice explanation. I didn't know the temperature danger is in the overheating of the battery. I thought the camera itself gets hot(and potentially damaging itself), not the battery. My solution, as I'm always filming on the office/studio and in the car, get a continuous power supply connected to a power socket in your wall and you're all set.
2:03 For better understanding 104 °F (US) = 40 °C (Europe). In sunlighted place the black colored camera can be heated to 50-65 °C (122-149°F). Keep that in mind! Always find a shadowy place or try to cover your ZV-1 vith anything you've got (a piece of cartboard, a used T-shirt whatever.)
How do you transfer the content from the camera to your computer fast? Mine takes days literally download content 😌 and it takes forever to upload on TH-cam 😢😢?? Help
Thank you, and THANK YOU! Unfortunately I'm learning about this after I set my tripod up and attempted to record a one time presentation my wife and I did to honor my dad. I also now know why my camera wasn't charging using usb.
I have question I turned my usb power on on my Sony zv1 I purchased the smoke power bank that you linked but when I plug it in my camera still does not run off usb power bank my battery still goes dead and say battery exhausted does my internal battery have to be fully charged for it to work can you help please ??
Hi, great video, but I have a question: if we set USB Power Supply on "ON", does that mean the ZV1 will keep on recording wile "charging", for example in a vlogging situation? I mean does having a power bank plugged into the camera actually improve and extend the recording time of the ZV1 while shooting a vlog? I am asking this because I already own a 23800 mAh Power Bank, and I am planning to buy a ZV1, but I'm reading negative reviews on the camera's battery life of people saying it's really short and when shooting at 4K it lasts just about 15 to 20 minutes
Is there a better option than this camera? I just got it love it but I'm not a fan of the battery life. The video helps with the temp but i'm not sure if I should return and find a different option.
It really depends on what you are looking for. If you need longer battery life and are okay with something a little more bulky the Sony Alpha 6400 is a great choice.

I'm looking for tripod options to place on the floor and go up to eye sight height for the Sony ZV-1. Do you have a video recommending the best ones and why? Thanks again for sharing.
I used a power bank for usb power supply & after 20 minutes it said exhausted but my power bank wasn't dead so I popped in a new battery while the other charged then after 3 minutes "battery exhausted" on an FULL room temperature battery + power bank. Any idea what went wrong? I'd like to purchase your suggested battery pack but if I'll have the same issue I rather not. I also considered a dummy battery but because I use a tripod while vlogging, the door doesn't have room to hang open! lol this camera is great but even my rx 100 3 has a longer battery life than my new Sony zv1. I'm super conflicted! Also thank you for the helpful video and links 🔥
I have 2 batteries, and let's say one died at my shoot, should I use the pack to charge the dead battery and use the second one or use the pack while using the camera?
You can get a plug in battery for streaming if the ZV1 has one out yet. I use a plug in battery for my A6300 for streams. You need an outlet though otherwise a power bank is your best bet
The power cord to my ZV 1 is causing a buzzing sound during playback. I tried plugging it into different outlets and still gets a buzz. There is no buzzing without the cord. The sound is nice and clear. Would a battery pack solve this? I want to do interviews with veterans and cant have any buzzing in the audio. I need enough power for about an hour and a half and I really don't want to have to stop the interview to change batteries.
If the power bank output isn't high enough...it will drain faster than it charges. Get you one that will give more output. Or you can always get a dummy battery and plug it up.
Your USB cable could be bad. Just a thought. Plug it into another device to ensure its powering correctly. Check the amperage on the charging block or USB ports.
I have USB power supply "on" and the USB cable plugged into a USB port in my desktop computer. It shows the plugged in/charging symbol next to the battery level meter icon too. But I keep running into "battery exhausted" issues even when my camera is plugged into the USB of my computer. That seems to indicate that the electrical draw from the ZV-1 exceeds the power supplied by the USB port of my computer (but I've tested this with all my USB ports), so after a few hours of webcamming, the camera will have no more battery life. I've lost the camera multiple times during Zoom calls. Any way to fix this? I need the USB to be connected to my computer (not a wall charger that would provide higher electrical current) because I need to use the Sony Live Imaging Edge software that requires the USB to computer connection.
Hmm possibly try a powered USB hub? That way it has AC powering the ports while they are plugged into the computer. I searched for “powered usb hub” on Amazon and saw a few options. I don’t know for a fact this would work, but this is what I would personally try first. Best of luck!
@@Shayway it is powered, which is why it shows the charging icon and extends the battery life to multiple hours, instead of just 1. But it still drains the battery slowly.
You can also use a dummy battery with a USB connector... get the velcro straps for the battery for your vlogg setup. This makes it portable. Or even use the normal battery. Make sure you get a bank that gives out enough Amps or it will just drain slower. It needs to charge faster than it drains. A cheap power bank won't work and a huge one will make you miss out on portability.
Hi! Thanks for the vídeo and congratulations for the channel!
