Pretty nice, really like a lot of the usability features like the frunk, the midgate, etc and hope more brands and models start to focus more on features like this.
SAIC‘s sub-brand IM motor already offers semi-solid state battery one of its latest model with 1000km range. So not entirely impossible since Maxus is under SAIC's wing as well.
Sam, thank you for your content! I’d love your take on Xpeng’s humanoid robots. Hope you love your G6! Wish we could buy Chinese EVs in the US. At least we can buy Xpeng stock without a 100% tariff!
I'm not into trucks, but that's better looking than anything else out there in my opinion. Cybertruck is too big, and Rivian looks old fashioned. This could give Tesla a real headache, although the charging rate will need to improve.
1000km was clickbait or a lie, which lowers the reliablitiy and credibility of this channel. (also that true for the video about BEV registration are higher than gas registrations in Norway - also only partially true) 350 to 420 should be more realistic. Also it's not V2G capable, only V2L. They had shown the car at IAA Transportatin in Hannover this week. Best option of this car is the tow capacity of 3,5t and the frunk. But be aware it has only 600kg load capacity.
Saying "EV has range of 650km/400 miles, I don't think you need more than that" is mistaken unless you are only travellingin metro regions. If you are towing you will get considerably less and you have to get it SLOW charged somewhere - not going to happen out in the sticks. At least with a hybrid you can simply refill and recharge when more convenient.
Is it a full size pickup. To be full size it needs to be able to transport 4 by 8 foot sheet material flat in the bed. (122 by 244 cm). Between the wheel wells and tailgate.
i dont think this is the way to go, i think the byd shark makes more sense because you dont depend of the charging station around you, it has a built in combustion generator to charge the batteries.
LOL 😂😂😂 SAIC is one of the biggest car manufacturer in China, they could not sell any vehicles in the global market but would still be more profitable than VW even if they just sell vehicles in China😂😂😂

T90 EV would be an ideal now with those prices however the build quality makes them questionable ... even if one is willing to fight with those mishaps that one needs to persuade his wife in addition ;-)
This truck is not going to sell because it costs $70,000 which is way too high. Everything is good except the price. There are other trucks from China which you reported on last year that cost less than $20,000. Who will pay an extra $50,000 for a pickup when you can buy one for $20,000?
The best system electric pickup I have seen to date is the one in the BYD, unfortunately it is Chinese. Electric with gas charging back up is ideal for a pickup. I'm not sure why they are the only company to use this system, GM had that in the Volt 15 years ago. Electric only pickups are useless for towing.
You almost get your videos done right, but instead of kw to describe the motors power you have km as in Kilometers. Watch your videos back once man before posting and you'll eradicate these little mistakes. Regardless thanks for the info
@@mrspeigle1The point being if you lose half of your range when you have a 600 mile range you still have enough to get further than your bladder lasts anyway. You get another 600 miles in about 8 minutes. In the EV you get half of the 300 miles it's now 150 which is only 2 hours of driving... But remember you can only fast charge from 10-80 so your actual leg of your trip is already cut by 30% so the second leg ends up being cut by 80%... Or now you go somewhere aound 90 - 105miles and as mentioned in the video that takes 40 minutes so you have to wait 40 minutes every hour and 15 minutes you drive. I live 10 miles outside of town and my normal day run into town is under 35 miles round trip... Range Anxiety is just a stupid unnecessary fear.. it's dumb !
The reason Cybertruck don't have mid gate is for safety reason in case of emergency braking that you don't want your load to come into the cab & hurt someone.

EV Ute - the customer needs 500hp plus !!!, thats what they want!. No it's not. EV's that are efficient is what they want, not dragstrip utes shaped like bricks.
You could say the same for most new electric vehicle startups - how many make am profit from selling cars? Tesla makes a profit but it’s hard to break down how - selling credits tended to be the big centre while I’ve never quite got to grips with the GP a per units sold. Tesla has broader profit builders such as storage - pure EV companies seem to struggle.
Never will because China controls the raw materials that goes into the batteries. So the US is never going to build electric vehicles enlarged amounts unless we get a new type of battery where the United States has control over the materials.
