Every video committed to the SAME set of principles. No quick fix clickbait. A proper deep dive into how the sequence synchronises. My practice net is THUMP CITY right now as my understanding grows. Love it.
EGS has done it again. I got on the EGS train about a month or so ago after seeing you on Milo Line’s channel. You have completely overhauled & simplified my swing in that time. I’m already hitting the ball better by adopting a system that fits my “athletic dna.” This video specifically encapsulates a ton of stuff, including a shallowing approach that I can understand as well as explaining how body movements can trigger the correct scapula movement. Please keep it coming (short game, anyone?).
Thanks coach, I am a Milo Lines fan and saw you guys together so I thought I would check you out and guess what . . I am intrigued, so you have another Subscriber.
It's crazy how "automatic" my hips have become since switching to focusing on upper body movement... No more spin out! And more importantly I'm releasing the club (properly) without fear for perhaps the first time in my life! I noticed the massive clubhead speed increase because of that. Thanks guys.
I appreciate the different 'way to feel' movements in the swing And the physiological explanations of the action-reaction phases of the golf swing. I'm trying out today! Fun
Probably one of the most insightful videos I've seen. Love it. This is rarely talked about in such detail, and it really helped me figure out some of my swing issues I couldn't put into words. Thank you so much. So many videos are body postion based, but they dont really go into what muscles are firing to get you there.
Can’t say I’ve heard any other golf instruction talk about the scaps. It’s great information in context of what you say in your other videos. Thanks for sharing. Also, the blue pants are 🔥🔥🔥
Thank y’all for all the videos you post. I just started golfing 2 months ago. My first round I shot 152. I found your channel and practiced at home and at the range for 4 weeks while watching your videos over and over. My 2nd time out shot a 129. Yall are awesome. I’ve gained a lot of confidence with my irons, my driver is still very inconsistent. I seen drivers vs. wedges, could y’all do a more in depth video of using the driver. I seen TJ post on IG fairway finder and bustin it. Shirts are fire btw. Stay blessed fellas.
The elevation/depression/ protraction your show and describe of the right scapula opposite of the lead scapula , to me I feel my trail side scapula simply doing clockwise twirl exiting left to the completion of my swing. Cheers🥂😊😊
Such an amazing video, you guys are helping so many understand proper movement. Way too many swing instructors with oversimplified explanations hurting peoples games out there. Thank you
It’s hard to watch any other instruction videos after these guys. Most others do not describe the association of muscles and which ones should be active or passive. Understanding load and unload is super helpful. Great job.
such good content! Been talking like this with my golf friends for years, and we are all just out of touch with enough anatomical knowledge to truly have a discussion on this level, with the sport knowledge we already know to be true. The idea of a biomechanical process that is optimal for the person not the motion is something i have always liked and been implementing in bowling successfully out of a pro-shop since me and my college coach started the discussion years ago. Spreading the word about content like this any time i can! thank you so much for sharing the knowledge!
Love the videos! The picture of the “fall” or “drop” of the pelvis helped my ballstriking immensely. The only thing is struggling with now is getting pressure forward with that drop feel as I feel it keeps me very centered.
Another winner gentlemen. Better players love under plane. But this can be problematic when taken too far. Understanding the T & C spine load is huge. When you got to the pectoral/rib spiral is when I could relate big time. The Ribcage Slinging the Humerus is Huge. Once the club has risen and has begun to fall (above/below) the plane, you can cover the ball with the right pectoral. That simple thought, stops you from being too far under or over. In order to cover you have to engage the entire spiral lines and the Scapulars will behave nicely. Well done!
Thanks for the video. At some points I’m getting confused about allowing some natural trail scap retraction but not trail shoulder abduction, which I understand is not good
Nice video. I enjoy how you guys get into the nitty gritty of the lesser known parts of the golf swing - you guys do a great job and your students are lucky!! Your high-five at the end of the video needs work…LOL!
Riley, a suggestion: please, in some future videos, show YOUR swing - full speed and slow motion - from face-on and down-the-line, with a wedge and a driver. That way we can see the swing you are teaching exactly the way you swing it. That wholeness can help unify the dynamic parts you are teaching so well.
In the transition/downswing, is the lead scap elevating at the same time the trail scap is depressing, or is there a period where both are depressed and then the lead elevates through impact?
Now I know why previous golf schools haven’t worked, I never quite understood the stated movement or “positions” so how can you actually make other than “perceived” motions and posted positions? Great stuff- but requires( opinion) lots of proper practice and review…😊
@@jack-hq7gr it definitely can based on each players tendency. Just make sure that you take those practices and drop them into live feels as early as you can. No need to get infatuated with the drill 🙏
Thank you so much for your insightful lessons . Invaluable insights ! Where are you located ? I will be going to Vegas in September and would love to take detour for a lesson .
this is a brilliant move. pulling the trail scapula is a great way to move your backswing but the circle is amazing and almost completes the swing. adding a small drop or squat at the start of the downswing assimilates perfectly with the scapula circle....then since the squat is moving down on trail side... the opposite move is slingshotting the body up through impact which adds speed and thus distance. thank you
Need help. You guys just described the problem I’m having with my swing. My arms and shoulders reroute and my trail elbow falls behind me during transition. So frustrated when I watch on video but have no clue how to fix this.
A question - it has always seemed to me that when you guys talk about rotating the ribs that the ribs have very little rotation they can do independent of the pelvis. However, if you include the motion of the trail scap retracting and then protracting (while the lead scap does the complimentary motion) the ribs appear to have a wide range of motion. Is this the rotation of the ribs you are trying to get us to understand? If this is true, then the pelvis/legs are bracing us as we deliver the club and then act as a shock absorber to allow us to decelerate safely. Am I getting it? Or, is this a rabbit hole? Many thanks for the video.
Guys, so the left scap descends on the backswing but does not protract? I think I've been protracting that lead shoulder AND retracting the trail shoulder almost at the start of my bs all this time! I guess sort of a fake shoulder turn?
Definitely into the depths here! The shoulder complex is fairly difficult to describe as there are four bones that make up the entire complex compared to the two lines that make up the hip complex. Definitely loads of different ways to swing the club though brother. Hope you hit them well 🙏🙏

Love how you guys make it a discussion. Like a lesson. Can’t believe this is free lol
Just wanna see you hit flushers bro
As always, well done and thorough! Thank you for the excellent content. Can't wait to go to the range!

This is fantastic content - thanks for the detail about a concept that is rarely talked about
Would love a video on that load feeling to start the backswing. Was just getting to something good there before the video ended lol great work.

Score 1 for blue pants!! 👖 glad you enjoted
Excellent video, this explanation paired with the pelvis videos really makes alot of sense. The pelvis is more passive to the scapula movement.
Definitely can be! They all have their own active movements 🙏

How 'bout a video talking about the lead scapula post P7? Seems like a useful way to fix a stalling pivot. Thanks.

@@peterlesniewski6675 lead scap in transition will heavily protract 🙏
How do you guys do lead shoulder low with this move? I tend to keep my right scap high
I would love to see the movement of an orange whip trainer with the scap movement.. When the hub moves out and the center mass kicks under the plane…
Great vid. Could you do a video on pressure shift vs. sitting in transition?
Yessir!

Hi seems like to simplfy we just have our trail scapula follow a circle....
Yeah baby! Shapes!

Nice! Curious: do you guys feel like you are doing a baseball-like swing?
There’s certainly some similarities
Complex complexes... interesting specificity

Bro I love this! You got it. Spiral line connects ribs to scaps 🙏
Is the depression and elevation causing the shifting of weight to the lead side?
Not directly, but it certainly helps
I needed this one. I feel like this is the missing link of your TH-cam videos. Question: what is the starting position of the scaps?
Pretty neutral! Slightly depressed and protracted
Would the scaps load differently for hitting a draw versus hitting a fade?
You’d probably feel more trail scap retraction in transition to hit a draw and less to hit a fade 🙏
love the cotton candy blue pants boss
They’re a hit 🙏
scap refer to muscle scapula or the shoulder blade? I was confused😮
Muscle scapula 👌
Is why all different shapes of people can swing well is scapula not belly or other size
@@philipkingsworth6638 exactly! Effects so many other systems!
so the rib cage moving forward , passively retracts the scap.
Bingo!
So does that mean at address your arms should be at your side. Or does your scraps need to be protracted like a bear hug.
Bear hug 👍
Guys, so the left scap descends on the backswing but does not protract? I think I've been protracting that lead shoulder AND retracting the trail shoulder almost at the start of my bs all this time! I guess sort of a fake shoulder turn?
It will, but the protraction will occur in the transitionary phase ideally
Rib sway?
Sorry too confusing at the end of the day is it this hard to hit a golf ball

Forget the shirts those pants. Remind of Loyds baby blue tux😅
😂😂
Is this what i’ve seen called “scapula glide”?
I just ripped a$$ 😅love that! Was wondering what that funky smell was
😂😂 you could smell it from there? Thanks man!
Sorry but I have to take issue with the idea that there’s any kind of trail scapula elevation in the golf swing.
Fair enough!
