Kof is one of the most creative series I've ever seen especially the older games sad it isn't recognize more often.
ShitpostingAtheist to a point but in the end only about 10 characters are ever used an the rest are left to die.
Bro, the most recognized KoF game was the KoF 98'. That game still olds up today, it was really freaking advanced. I could also say same to the Darkstalkers games (but many forgot about it) because of Street Fighter. KoF 98' was literally is at the top of its peak before SFIII: 3rd strike had hit on 1999 AND it still is advance. Virtually, anyone who played KoF ain't gonna have troubles in getting with the new ones. Cause the gameplay doesn't do crazy changes aside from the Ash Crismon saga and the meter system. To this day, KoF 98' is still been played competitively. France, Italy, S. Korea, Spain and Bangladesh are one of the few places I can name that still hold tournaments for KoF 98'.
bobthebobcat Forget about the netcode dude. The game and series has been known to be advanced in terms of gameplay and mechanics. Its competitive scene still has people playing older KoF games like KoF 98' and KoF 2002. Bangladesh still does KoF 2002 tournaments and boy were there a lot of good people there. KoF 98' is also still being played at France, Italy, Spain and S. Korea (few to name).
Though not viewed in a high alttitude like Street Fighter, their competitive scene is so active.

Just for reference, while there are no character-specific endings, there are team-specific endings for each of the main teams in story mode. You HAVE to play the team to get the ending.

KOF is the best classic 2D fighter. You wont regret it. I actually wanna buy this one but I beleive its only on PS4

@Max there are endings for characters but only if you use their entire team
Team Japan,Team Southtown etc. have endings but if you use a custom team you get a generic ending

Max, in KoF there is no "character" endings, there are team endings, meaning that you must use a team of characters related for a conclusion

Each of the set teams have endings. Also the cutscene before the last boss changes for some teams.

Whining Ylthin Custom teams don't have endings. Gotta pick a real team for one. Just have Max get good as Andy and Joe and run through Arcade with Team Fatal Fury, he'll get an ending.

Max do have buttons to get in, he just don´t seem to enter Max mode more often, he could have easily convert into a lot of damage from some sequences but he stuck to 4 weaks a burn knuckle kinda thing.

Son of Tiamat i use to think SF looked better then i played the game and saw alot of banana hair deformed over sized hands and huuugge eyes and now KoF version2.0 shits on SF it looks and played amazingly
Yea, like now that I've been playing SFV for like 20 hours, it looks really ugly up close.
At least KOFXIV is clean and basic, you just can't ignore just about every model before (and after if Kolin is something to show) Juri and Urien is inconsistent.
Yeah, the characters in SFV look too detailed, to the point where they look deformed. Like when you see a realistic picture of Super Mario and he looks like a freak of nature. But what I really want to see now is Arika make that new EX game.

Max, you need to use more high counters against jump-ins with rock. His rising tackle isn't a great anti-air (it kinda goes at a 45 degree angle). Low counter those mashed out low shorts!!!!!

Man Geese has always been one of my favorite fighting game characters ever. The guy is just soo badass. Geese>>>>>Bison anyday for me. But im just glad more people are starting to see how great the KOF series is. Its finally getting a chance to shine.

You need to be patience and start countering. Just like using Twin Twister then using Dark Bribe. All I am saying is be diligence and start counter in the exact moment.

Ke Fa well I'm exaggerating. But i much prefer the original outfit with the green vest and shorts. The crop top is just kind of generic. Same with king, she's supposed to be very boyish and only feminine when she so chooses. Mai has always been a flirt and that fits her characters, but I don't the classic female fighters need to be so, well jiggly.
That's why I like King. Flat as a board, but a great fighter and character.
