Just ordered mine, exact like yours but with a tanto blade with the partial serrated, I'm super stoked to get it in the mail to start using as my EDC blade, I've been using my combat troodon for edc but since I'm in jersey it's a bit frowned upon here. Great video and have a good one!
I have a Masters of Defense first run Duane Dieter CQD Mk1 folder I carried when still working. This knife reminds me so much of that knife. The Microtech is lighter, which is nice. The MOD is a beast, but both knives are excellent. True working knives.
Reeve was one of Tony’s mentors as well as Koji Hara...the early production Microtechs are as GOOD AS IT GETS....and the customs ....well...out of the price range of most....museum pieces
The BMW analogy is perfect...both brands are making cool stuff now...in VAST QUANTITIES 🤣....and relying on the afterglow of the glory days I have 3 2018 Socom Elites.and many many of the models from 1997-2002 Socom runs and the 2000-2012 Elite runs.... Looking at the endless sea of next best titanium flipping madness these days does not interest me at all.....

masters of defense knives were made by the same people who made microtechs which is why you see similarities in the design

BEST knife MT makes IMO. I will pick this knife over any Shirogorov... lol
Great EDC knife!🤘
Hi, how is the thumb access to unlock the blade? Easy, complicated, hard to access?
Very easy. All of Microtech's openers are very agressively designed so it can be a little sharp at first, but the action itself is incredibly easy.
Steel is not Anodized FYI

It was a great design in its heyday, but there now more modern designs that outclass it in terms of functionality
Curious to know what knives you are referring to? I lobe buying more knives😬
