Oscar is the thing nolan deserves, but not the thing he needs right now. Let del toro have his oscar this year, due for a 25 yrs (his golden globe speech was emotional). Nolan will surely win it one day 20 yrs later like scorcese did, when he is already a legend and the whole audience stands up and claps for a straight two minutes.

I will admit I love Christopher Nolan’s movies but I didn’t know he was making Dunkirk and everyone on Twitter was oh Harry’s gonna be in it and I thought oh my okay I’ll have to see what he’s like as an actor so I watched it but then I was so intrigued with the movie and although I was happy to see Harry I was more happy with the film and the story it’s just so captivating and I’ve studied Dunkirk in class but this movie made me feel chills and like wow again great film!

I have a love/hate relationship with Christopher Nolan honestly. I hate that I become a fool when I watch his movies and they leave me speechless but that's what I love about them.

Christopher Nolan is my favorite person on the planet. He makes films that are very enjoyable but also reach you on a deeper level and make you question your very existence. I will continue to rewatch every movie until the day I die.

I feel like Chris is getting all the respect he deserves now after TDK trilogy, Inception and Dunkirk... but all the haters are people that had no idea who he was before Batman Begins. He was thrust into the international spotlight because of his talent but is paying the price because a hardcore faction of his fans are praising him to be the second coming. He's not perfect, he's not infallible ..but he's a brilliant storyteller like caviar is an acquired taste.
There's a 45 minute video of all of the jokers scenes on TH-cam. I watch that often 😂
You see this is what Ive being saying that makes the dark knight trilogy stand out amongst any other trilogy in the superhero genre. What he said about batman at 3:10 and 3:28 is so meaningful because this was his take on the character, but he still honoured the orginal source material . But like the Sam Raimi Spiderman films felt like a comic book come to life and not something as entirely original as Nolans Batman.
