I've been playing the game since 2012 and the reason that I keep playing and enjoy the game 12 years later and will play each day is nothing to do with upgrading or wars etc. they are just the excuse to log on throughout the day. The reason I come back each day is that I'm in the same clan with others players for years. Over the years between us we've had weddings, babies, surgeries, countless birthdays and holidays. We all came together by chance, but we now talk every day, we've met up in person. Friends I wouldn't have met if it wasn't for CoC. I hope that the game does continue to expand as it gives us an excuse to keep coming back to what is in my opinion a great community. I don't think this side of the game gets acknowledged as much as it should.
I’ve just joined a new clan it’s good but people don’t really talk on it just attacks raids and CWL would be nice to have a clan of mates that have enough players to CWL me and my mate tried it but couldn’t get enough players to join which lead to us joining someone else’s clan
this is exactly why i hate when people complain about being maxed. When its impossible to max the base f2p: this is bad When they finally max their base: this is boring

I’ve played Clash of Clans for years and I’ve always been town hall behind the highest town hall. I am almost done with Townhall 15 and another month or two. I shall be going to Townhall 16 so for the first time in 10 years I will actually be at the highest Townhall even if it’s just a few months before Townhall 17 comes out.

Problem with being a rusher is that you will always get your base wrecked in the process. By higher townhall or ranked people very often. My definition of losing in this game is when they are able to 3 star or wreck your whole base. Even though you are strategic you will loose a ton of resources in the process.
nah cos that doesnt make u max faster just lets u not waste loot and get to clan capital faster (and lets be real who doesnt rush the first 7 or 8 town halls)

I’d say it’s designed for people to have to spend money to max. Without gold pass, it takes 1 year 3 months to max your lab alone at th16. You won’t max without spending money
then buy the gold pass lmao its only $6.99..... when i was younger i would mow lawns around my neighborhood to make some money. anyone can make money if they just get up and do something its not hard to make $6.99 in 30 days at any age
Wrong. Because you do not only have your lab research. Also books, hammers, potions, goblin researcher. You can max your th16 lab in about 4 months f2p. Just play cwl on a moderate level and do your clan city attacks to buy those hammers and potions.
I am playing this game since 2014, I remember Town hall 11 update and Cannon level 13 update coming out to be for 14 days, With each new level old upgrade time is reduced and new level are kept around 14 days Now cannon level 17 only takes 2 days, Level 18& 19 are for 3 days, Level 20 is for 4 days and Level 21 for 5 days only I have started feeling disgusted by the fact that I had to spend so much time in the game but now it takes Less time😱 All the efforts are wasted. And now I have to spend 15 days for Ricochet Cannon.

I feel like its good to not be able to reach the end, with an end you end up like the commenters here who have nothing to do for months, you have something to look forward to /grind for whether it be walls that cost half your resource calacuty or lab upgrades that will take another 3 montgs to finish. This concept is same with life, without purpose, there's no meaning, .
I’m almost max th12 FTP even though defense is almost non existent I enjoy the game I just make sure my 5 builders are busy at all times and I like how you can grind gems/gold rather easy now I stay in champs 3 to grind loot
you dont need to be maxed to enjoy the game, you can have fun while doing wars and creating strategies and tactics, all while you are working towards a higher town hall, as we mostly get matched with people of our same level and clash each other, thus coc isnt made to be beaten but to enjoy clashing and getting stronger over time
I only play when I want and don’t care about progressively maxing. I haven’t spent a dime either. Supercell Support sucks and when I emailed them for questions, they banned me with no reason. Been playing since it started. Gonna quit.
wouldnt your rate of progression as a F2P eventually exceed the rate of new town halls being added? if you play consistenely and stratigically you would eventually max out
You dont have to be maxed. You can enjoy wars and cwl. Im th13 in a th11-14 clan. Gotta say I enjoyed the oldschool th9-10 wars around 2018 tho. Game is a bit too easy now

I started playing clash about 3 years ago I am not free to play I only buy the monthly gold pass and if an event comes out I’ll also buy that for the hero ability that normally comes with it and I am still finding my builders are always working and my lab does not stop, I am currently th12 ⭐️⭐️ 5/6 builders (about a month or two and I’ll have the 6th) Is it impossible for me to get to th16 before they bring out the new th without spending anymore money than I already do on the game?? Or if I keep playing everyday and make sure my builders have no off time could I finding quicker than people who ain’t playing as active as me?
Just spend $400 on the game and go max out your base, then buy shields and trophy push to the max. How do you think the older players did it? Especially when the game was first released and several people were in legend leagues. That's how you beat the game. By spending money on worthless purchases

Nah, i never was near max because of... you guessed it: walls😂 everything else (troops, defense, heroes) i usually get to max before the new town hall arrives, but i am short billions of gold/elexier to max all walls. BTW: walls are overrated🎉
