Look I'm a Leinster fan. I actually feel sorry for Crowley the way people are piling on him. Despite Prendergast fine showing Crowley is still our number one fly half and a good person too.
100% agree, well said, I hope the media leave Crowley and Prendergast alone (as if). They are two young men, playing the game they love, both have +s and both have -s I think we should stick behind them both. Long may they flourish. The Irish rugby team should be the priority over any Province or player, let’s pick the best selection from ALL Provinces going forward.
lineout still functioned at 80% v AUS - the issue is the timing of missed lineouts. all november they would screw it up after winning a penalty or inside the opposing 22
Who really cares? Stop having a preference. Let them push each other, and whoever comes out on top comes out on top. They’re both great at the end of the day, and there’s no need for any of us to be tribal.
@@eoghanii7049 I'd argue the current pecking order should be Crowley, Frawley and then Prendergast but I had no issue with Prendergast getting some gametime either. The first two have credit in the bank. Crowley led Ireland to a 6 nations win in his 1st season at the helm and Frawley kicked two exceptional long field drop goals to win the game in SA and draw the series. That was historic for Ireland. People have short memories. Yes, he was poor when he was on the field for 20mins against NZ but that can happen to the best of players at times and Ireland were under the pump. I don't think pèople realise just how talented a rugby player Crowley is. He's strong, fast, athletic, evasive and has a great step. He makes impact tackles and he hits rucks like a back row when he has to. His tactical kicking, line kicks and decision making is very good for the most part. If he can get his goal kicking to a higher % he'll be world class. He's prone to the odd error or two but what outhalf isn't especially in his first season as starter. Damian McKensie is 29 and he admits his game management still isn't where it needs to be. Prendergast has a long way to go to convince me he's the next messiah. He'll be targeted by opposition back rows. Let's see if he can take the bone crushing hits as well as Crowley does for starters.
I wish you pundits would stop playing Prendergast up. He wasn’t great, he missed a lot. I’m delighted he got a shot, but so dodo the other 10’s in Crowley and Frawley and what you’ve done is wreck their confidence.
Sorry wha? Prendergast was fantastic, he's an amazing option that we now have. Missed a lot? Crowley kicked some balls dead too - that happens in a high pressure match. As for hurting their feelings - get real, these are professional sports players. They're not going to get butthurt over rotation.
@@spearsgears Fantastic?? 😂😂😂 he almost got sent off a few mins into the game, then he came back on, kicked the ball dead and kicked another out on the full. The rest of his game was decent. That's a 6/10 performance at best. Ireland were losing the game when he left the field and Crowley came on and had an immediate impact and Ireland ended up winning it. 'Fantastic' was what Frawley did when he came on down in SA and kicked 2 amazing long field drop goals to win the game and draw a historic series for Ireland against the best Bok side of all time.
@@PB22559 I think what you have said in your last para tells us that the bench is sooooo important. These guys are sitting there, watching and reading the game. They are eager to come on and know they can change the outcome. Apparently the SA players are more than happy to be selected for the bench position, they know they are coming on to win the game. I think we should understand it like that too.
@ Crowley has had 12 months since Sexton and achieved a lot. Now it’s Prendergast who hasn’t been great. Frawley and Crowley deserved their places, not the way Prendergast has been shuttled in by the Sexton brothers.

Well said.
Fair play to you Jack, don't mind the media you have lots of fans in Leinster!
Prendergast is blooded now, three live options at 10 is an incredible luxury. I would be fine with any one of them starting.
Class from Jack Crowley
Jack is a class act. Only 24 and so aware. He can only get better. He has a sexton level ceiling .

G'wan Crowley. Irelands best 10 and still only 24.

@@MichPreps Stop having a preference? lol
Nothing tribal about it. Crowley is Irelands best 10 atm imo. Now, get over yourself.
@@MichPrepsit's perfectly reasonable to have a preference without disparaging other Irish players,..
@@PB22559he’s better now but Sam potential much better
