I bought a used one recently from Sentinal Arms here in Birmingham, AL. I've only put 75 rounds through it at their range, but no jambs so far. Impressed
I bought one of these pistols two weeks ago, and I am VERY impressed with it! It is without a doubt the most comfortable pistol I've ever held! Whoever designed the ergonomics for this one deserves a medal! (And before you HK fans start screaming about the HK pistol being copied, save it for someone who cares.) It is VERY easy to handle, the recoil is VERY manageable, and it is the most accurate pistol "out of the box" that I've ever fired. I was punching quarter-size groups at 5 yards with this pistol, and when I moved out to 7 yards the group didn't get much bigger. I paid $434.00 for this pistol including tax, so at that price it's a steal! Now if only more companies made holsters for it...
I have glocks but the sar 9 is my choice.less recoil, more accurate , feels better in hand ..proves high dollar isn't always the best...try one n u will love it...
Incredible handgun! Hammer forged barrel. Low bore axis. Chassis system fire control. Recessed crown. User customizable ergonomics. Phosphorescent sights. Now available in many configurations (about 32), including a compact and a "Sport", long sight radius model. If you want accessories, the "X" models come with holster, light, 17 and 19 round mags, double mag carrier and load assist device. This pistol is the ONLY pistol to pass the NATO challenge and went 90,000 rounds without failure. The company then took the test out to 150,000 rounds with only spring changes. The pistol is designed to shoot 9x19 NATO 124 gr ammo. It has a 21 lb spring as a result. Some users report some issues when using lower pressure 115 gr ammo, but all agree that once broken in, the pistol will eat anything. FYI - for those transitioning from a 1911 to a high capacity striker fired 9mm, the safety is perfectly positioned and will make you feel right at home. Except you can have 19 rounds on tap instead of 8! For those of you who don't want or need a safety, just order the "T" model or send it in to the factory in Miami to have the safety deleted.
I got one from Palmetto State on sale for $250, an absolutely insane deal. I've got a hundred or two rounds through it and no failures (I think all was 115gr fmj). I think mine came with a 17lbs recoil spring. I replaced the recoil rod and spring with a stainless rod (I do this with most all my guns even though it's probably never going to be relevant). Crazy good shooting duty gun.
Just got one today and love it, small grip inserts fit my tiny man hands great.. Only thing I don't like is how your left thumb will touch the left safety, even just a tiny bit higher of a safety would have been perfect. Should be had for under $400 easy right now.
@@CasiodorusRex awesome. They're very nice. I do recommend the reduced power spring kit from galloway precision, or if anyone else makes them. trigger pull is much better but you do have to do some light disassembly where you could lose stuff.
Mine is enroute from Palmetto State Armory. They have them right now for $249.00. Plus $17.00 shipping plus $20.00 transfer fee. $286.00 all in! Couldn't resist.
It's tight, but it can be done. Once you get the full 17 rounds in there and leave them in for a while, the spring loosens up enough so reloading is easier.
I was about to buy the +3 extensions but notice Galloway says there for the mags with a circular locking floor plate. I own both Sar 9 and Sar 9T and each has 3 mags all having a rectangle hole locking plate. I contacted SarUsa about getting the "old style" locking plates. Haven't heard a peep. I probably don't need extensions, but I do want one.
When the pistol was first released it was advertised as a 15+1 pistol; they have since changed the capacity. I bought one two weeks ago and it holds 17 rounds in each magazine, and the magazines are marked for 17 rounds.
Does someone know why some grips on this gun have a red Sar logo on them while others do not? If I order a Sar9 today, will it come with or without the red logo?
Yes, it is a great gun. Well made with excellent machining. Extremely accurate and reliable. Just over 600 rounds with no issues. One thing, I have read several reviews saying it doesn’t like 115 grain, so everything I have run through it has been 124 or 147 grain. I like it so much I purchased a Sar B6C also for daily carry and feel the same about it. Awesome shooter with great accuracy and extremely comfortable.
I saw one today in gun metal gray. Comes with a ported slide, 15&17 round mags, weapon light, holster, 2mag holster new for 450 out the door. Those were the things I saw that came with it. It’s a bet heavy but the trigger felt great. Felt Glock like other than the grip angle and price.
Looks like another Walther PPQ clone, which is not a bad thing; ergonomic, good trigger, decent capacity and priced to move. The only challenge with guns like this is finding robust aftermarket accessories. You may find 1 or possibly 2 holster or optic manufacturers for it.
My New SAR9T I just bought fell apart field stripping it and slide would even come off the gun never even been fire. SAR9T use cheap polymer roll pin falls out gun when pull frame levers down on the gun for field stripping. Once polymer roll pin comes out your SAR9T disables your trigger until put back in gun. So want really cheap made handgun gun fall part can not field strip get SAR9.
So only the thumb safety is ambidextrous??, not the trigger block?? Seems like you can access that trigger block from both sides, which makes it........., ambidextrous.....😉
The Israelis. However, they're much better at actual weapons of war as opposed to personal defense weapons(A Desert Eagle 50 is somewhat inappropriate for everyday carry compared to Turkish guns)
First off, the pistol is going to be in your hand, so no one will be able to see the red logo. Second, SARSILMAZ has stopped putting the red logo on it as of 2020. I bought one two weeks ago and there's no logo on the grips.
But is that "little more" actually getting you anything more than a name?? I have a Sar CM9 Gen2 and it's run easily 2400 rounds without a single failure. Not 1. I can find the Sar firearms for well under 400, some at $270... at that price I could purchase 2 for the price of the HK...
Ugh, let's see. The safety is not like the VP. The slide lock/release is not like the VP. The mag release is not like the VP. Ermergerd, the grip is similar, it's such a VP!
