The quickest way to learn a language is to be curious about it and be around native speakers all the time. I've learned French that way in one and a half year... And would love that you could have visited the rest of the country (Luanda is only about 5% of the country) as it is far safer, less people and the cities are far more enjoyable to live. As angolan, I really hate Luanda and it's stressful life(traffic mainly). Thanks for the video ❤
You couldn't find a better Thumbnail than what you put out- Angola and Luanda for that matter have beautiful places but as usual some people choose to put out the not so glamourous places for the Continent to look bad- America also has undesirable locations - No wonder you have few subscribers and low views.
Please stop pretending that majority of Angola is beautiful, you compare it to America which is more developed. America has some undesirable areas however it's not the majority & Americans don't try to hide it.

Thanks for your comment! Please remember I have not lived in Luanda for a few years so cost of living has likely changed. If your company is taking care of your logistics and stay then you will only be responsible for food and incidentals which depends on your lifestyle. Yes, there are maid services easily available in Luanda. The climate is more mild than I thought it would be. Nice winters that felt like a cold summer. And summers didn't get over 95F. The medical facilities are not the best. I saw people get sent to South Africa for serious procedures but your company should provide with you with access to the best Luanda has to offer. Each company will differ on the employment contract and salary. Most of my offers were a combination of Kwanza and USD. Good luck with your decision on moving to Luanda!

Hmmm, good question! I felt equally safe in both BUT there were times in each country I was nervous. Once in Luanda there was a person robbing homes in our neighborhood but my dog scared him away. I was nervous for a few nights after that (my husband was away for a work trip). And in Luanda there was a tourist that was shot at a hotel very close to our apartment and that made me nervous to walk over there for a while. I also had to watch my belongings (purse, cell phone) more in Buenos Aires because I was walking around a lot more. I was never robbed but heard of many people that were.
Why didn't you use the downtown as background? Instead you took the poorest area has background. The city is moderned. Show your audience the true side of Luanda

Except for going out to buy groceries and a couple odd occasions where you went to a market to quickly take pictures looks like you was just at home in an artificial community. We have 4th a 5th generation white angolans and we have loads of miscigenated families here. The race thing is more to do with the anglophone world. We don't have those problems in Angola as in most of the Portuguese speaking world.
