    Great to read everyone’s positive opinions on the Audi TT. It’s a gem of a car and I’ve loved every mile I’ve driven in them particularly with a manual gearbox.
    I’ve owned two of these and my current one has 126,000 miles on the clock and it’s as sweet as anything. I also own a Porsche Cayman 981 for summer driving, and if I’m honest, the TT is just as enjoyable to drive.
    Oh, and I bought an under counter fridge delivered to work and it went in the back to get it home.

    Purists are ignorant. The DSG is the perfect gearbox. It shifts perfectly, every time, and faster than any manual, and more importantly, it will not allow you to run over redline, so it protects your drive train from your own exuberant silliness.

    I have been daily driving a 3.2 '07 with that same DQ250 DSG since 2017, got it at 200k km (125k miles) and today it has 320k km (200k miles) and the driving experience has not changed a bit, I fitted that non-resonated Milltek exhaust too years ago and also upgraded to an Audi Sound Plus speaker+amp/dsp kit for better in car entertainment. Only "big" thing that I have had fail was the Haldex pump but that was like 300eur in OE parts with filter and oil and an hour of my own work and it failing did not prevent me from driving the car.

      What kind of mpg do you get ?

    • @83ky
      @83ky ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Heat.Media. I average around 8.5L/100km (which I think is around 33 mpg in the British way) driving around my everyday stuff which is a steady mix of town and highway driving. On longer road trips at steady speeds I can get it even below 7L/100km. I have had the car for so long now that I rarely push it hard unless I am on track. And if I happen to do some 'spirited driving' the fuel consumption will quickly climb to +10l/100km - after all it is still a 3.2 engine.

    (About the induction noise), in the 3.2 VR6 you actually have a part of the intake that splits of and goes straight to the cockpit of the car down to you feet to get that sporty sound in the cockpit, just a fun fact because you mentioned the induction sound. :)

It has 115,000 miles and full Audi service history from new and it’s a dream to drive! my friends are shocked when I tell them it’s a 17 year old car! Anyone got any opinions of any mods or styling upgrades? Or shall I keep it standard as it’s a very good example and still has all the original tools and even the original tyre slime in the boot!
