@slavelaboringkid7597 rim and disk both equally lock out I have used rim brakes for a very long time it locks out faster compared to mechanically operated disk in few weather conditions. From my experience the disk gives me a small bit of delay before lockout. I only use the hydraulic disk on my MTB which is built to take steep slopes. All my other cycles have mechanical disk/rim brakes. One thing I can say for sure is Disk operates the same in all conditions meanwhile can't say the same for rim.
Disk brakes my favourite because in low price range rim brakes tend to get worn out easily and gets loose in 4-5 days usage.....I now have hero next 26T with mechanical disc brake and it doesn't need any maintenance until 6 months......after cleaning out oil from the break pads, it became good as new....but rim breaks are not so good in braking(cheap ones).....
But honestly, cheap disk brakes also work same as expensive v brakes does, don't wanna talk about those cheap goofy aah v brakes that fail after one day of usage.....
I found the stopping power of the traditional Roadster bicycles (the ones which are more common in rural India) better than the ones which use side rim brakes. May be it's because the Roadsters use rod brakes or P/T brakes in which the whole brake assembly is made of steel with sturdy rods to pull them towards the rims.
No one seems to talk about the fact that since the rim brakes are being applied at the rim diameter, the torque (force x radius) is much more, so breaking is better. The disc diameter is much smaller so the torque is significantly lower.
Bro just close your door with one finger near to hinge and another with at the last end you will find. Check why the sports bike disc brake are bigger? Or why front wheel disc brake is bigger and back wheel size is smaller you will find it bro.

We see a lot of hybrid bikes at entry level, even single-speed, with disc brakes. What is the reason for this trend among manufacturers? And where can we look if we want only rim brakes in hybrid bikes under 25K? It's problematic when we choose single-speed for lower maintenance and get higher-maintenance disc brakes.
Iam using 91 vector Athens for past 1yr, converted to Disc brakes myself. Iam happy about this bike performance, in a limited budget. We don't have to spend 50k on a bicycle for normal use, i mean not for sports.
Sir you have recently convert your hybrid bike into gravel bike. If possible make a video on that because I am think about it when u told me about that
that was my friends bike which we worked, you can easily convert your giant into a Gravel, all you need is Drop bars, road style shifters. If okay with LTWOO Shifters we have some options at better prices
Mere paas 10 mahine se hai. Badhiya cycle hai bas seat thoda hard hai, Handlebar grip mujhe dusra lagana pada hai. Gear thik hain bas mujhe abtak 2-3 baar tune karna pada hai jo ki koi khaas issue nahi hai. Suspension complete off road ke layak nahi hai. Main to normal use karta hu aur ride quality achchhi hai.
