Jeremy looking like a TWD Rick. Lol This movie made me sad, I actually own all of DC animated movies, knowing this was the last of this animated universe makes me sad. It's the first animated series/movies that gave us a proper BatCat and Supes/Lois movie where it went into their relationship. I'm a sucker for romance in comics, since it is so rare and even more rare when it's done well. I am nervous of what's to come next for DC (in animation, comics and "live action") since it is now owned by at&t, and you can tell they don't have enough people (who make the final decision) that know and love the history of DC, just a bunch of suits that probably can't tell the difference from one Robin and another.
That was not a proper Bat/Cat in any way and wasn’t believable in Hush. Selina and Bruce were more believable together in Gotham by Gaslight. The Andrea and Bruce romance in Mask of the Phantasm was much better. Did you not watch the first two Reeve movies and Smallville? Clark and Lois are amazing together in Smallville along with the Superman and Lois dynamic.
The next movie is a reboot called superman:Man of Tomorrow, it’s a retelling of Superman in his first years of being superman, it’s done in a completely new art style, new voice cast, new everything.
I love all the DCAMU movies and I’ve been rewatching them all - JL: The Flashpoint Paradox, JL: War, Son of Batman, JL: Throne of Atlantis, Batman vs. Robin, Batman: Bad Blood, JL vs. TT, JL Dark, Constantine: City of Demons, TT: The Judas Contract, SS: Hell to Pay, The Death of Superman/Reign of the Supermen (or The Death and Return of Superman), Batman: Hush, WW: Bloodlines, & JL Dark: Apokolips War.
The movie lives up to that implied edginess, for the record. It's an R-rated animated movie, like the first Justice League Dark animated movie, but it makes much better use of the rating than that one did.
and better in my opinion but mainly because I liked the characters and saw the other movies so I am invested on them and this universe. Also is rated R.
My only gripe would be the length. Could have done with another 30 minutes to take in the surviving characters and a little more of the Broken Earth.... even if at the end we are left with so many broken characters that White Raven and Robin are the "happy ending".
Basically yeah. But for me the resolution is better than endgame. I mean I liked stuff about endgame for sure but in general some things just weren't resolved well. In this movie I think the animated universe resolved in a good way. Justice league war was the beginning and this is the end of this story.

Jeremy you gotta check out Vinland Saga. A viking epic that follows a tale of revenge but has a lot of underlying philosophical and political themes and intrigue. It is on Amazon Prime and the first season has finished. Highly recommend it.
About the Synder Cut: I was always under the impression it was planned as a trilogy and the "Zack Snyder's Justice League" is just part 1/3, and it just shows Darkseid in the end. Part 2/3 is where the nightmare scene becomes a reality. Part 3/3 is the finale where Batman dies and Superman/Lois name their baby "Bruce"
It would have been MOS, BvS, JL1 and JL2 and then the reactions to BvS made them insecure and they changed the plan to be 5 films to space it all out before we get to the rough stuff.

I don't think so. The animated line up had been amazing but mostly for the show only. This movie universe, while is decent and well made compared to the live action, still filled with some really average movies.
@@sharilshahed6106 yeah there are some shit animated films mixed in there, but I'd take Flashpoint, Dark Knight Returns and JLDAW well over any live action DC film in the current cinematic universe. I wish we could have seen that kind of quality story telling put on the big screen. In my opinion the animated movies destroyed the live action when comparing the Doomsday vs Superman and Batman Vs Superman fights.
So, no sequal for that ending?
That was not a proper Bat/Cat in any way and wasn’t believable in Hush. Selina and Bruce were more believable together in Gotham by Gaslight. The Andrea and Bruce romance in Mask of the Phantasm was much better. Did you not watch the first two Reeve movies and Smallville? Clark and Lois are amazing together in Smallville along with the Superman and Lois dynamic.
Romance is not rare either and there was an entire series called Lois and Clark too.
The next movie is a reboot called superman:Man of Tomorrow, it’s a retelling of Superman in his first years of being superman, it’s done in a completely new art style, new voice cast, new everything.
They need to bring back young justice series honestly
5:45 Jeremy, your Keanu is showing
I love all the DCAMU movies and I’ve been rewatching them all - JL: The Flashpoint Paradox, JL: War, Son of Batman, JL: Throne of Atlantis, Batman vs. Robin, Batman: Bad Blood, JL vs. TT, JL Dark, Constantine: City of Demons, TT: The Judas Contract, SS: Hell to Pay, The Death of Superman/Reign of the Supermen (or The Death and Return of Superman), Batman: Hush, WW: Bloodlines, & JL Dark: Apokolips War.
Watch the cartoons. JL, JLU, Batman The Animated Series, Batman, etc. those are even better.
constantine city of demons is fucking great
7nexus21 that’s top tier animation. I honestly don’t think many animated shows come close to level of story telling those do. They are pretty EPIC.
@@a_23jacob completely agree, batman the animated series has episodes that feel more like a dark play than a tv show.
7nexus21 I have watched the greatness of those shows too.
"Justice League Dark: Apokolips War" has to be the edgiest title I've ever heard in animation.
The movie lives up to that implied edginess, for the record. It's an R-rated animated movie, like the first Justice League Dark animated movie, but it makes much better use of the rating than that one did.
So this is Infinity War + Endgame but for DC, and animated?
Nice.
and better in my opinion but mainly because I liked the characters and saw the other movies so I am invested on them and this universe. Also is rated R.
100 times BETTER
It’s what we need and be apart of the fucking DCEU.
Michael Ironside is iconic. However, Andre Braugher is my favorite Darkseid.
Any chance to see more of Matt Ryan’s John Constantine is worth it.
If you want to see more, look at Justice League Dark (2018) and Constantine: City of Demons.
Or want legends of tomorrow from season 4 up
@@rossbetar Yeah now he's a series regular & he'll reappear in Legends season 6 along with the crew to find & rescue Sara.
I remember thinking while watching the movie “This guy is really trying to sound like Matt Ryan” and then the credits roll and I’m like 😮😗 I love him on Legends of Tomorrow, just wasn’t expecting him to do voice acting too
He played Edward Kenway in Assassins Creed Black Flag
Check out Constantine city of demons. It's a standalone animated Constantine movie with Matt Ryan. It's pretty good too
Matt Ryan as John Constantine is gold, watch Legends of Tommorow, he became a series regular on The CW show and totally made it better
The guy who voiced darkseid back in the day reprises his role as darkseid in the Harley Quinn animated series
Michael ironside
THE sam fisher
If you have not read these, I recommend:
1. The Crow - James O'Barr
2. Murder Falcon - Image Comics
Murder Falcon...so good.
Thanks for the reco, I'll check out murder falcon: sounds interesting
The crow movie was really good imo
Definitely the Crow, Murder Falcon sounds interesting.
The good thing with Murder Falcon is, it is a standalone story.
No Happy Ending like Endgame.
War is ugly. You see your friends got killed one by one.
@@kp1x
Remind me of Batman avoiding Doomsday in Dawn of Justice.
And how Endgame Captain America can survive from Thanos's punches.
John Wick Chapter-4: We got a mustache problem, we need to do reshoots.
Jeremy: Hold my Keanu Reeves hair
This movie is the darkest DC Animated movie I ever seen and I absolutely loved it.
35Antonio It’s kind of like what Zack Snyder wanted to do, but with a lot more buildup
@@benwasserman8223 you mean, it works when you take your time and plan it out? Who knew! If only they could develop some patience in their Live Action DC movies!
Yeah I could see that as I watched this one.
APOKOLIPS had even been mentioned as being an invader 2 other times (or was it three?), a reference to the other movies in the series
unnecessarily gore
You gotta see Flashpoint Paradox then :)
@@dickjavelindj6523 That's exactly what I was going to say. But if the commenter says it's darker than Flashpoint, then I know what I'm renting this week lol.
Justice League: War and Justice League Dark both did it for me, having them fused would make it epic.
Last thing I'll say lol: I wish we could have a micro animated movie series of what life was like for each hero in Flashpoint universe instead of a quick flashback.
Jeremy should do a review on the Last Airbender series
My personal favorite graphic novels are:
1. Watchmen
2. The Killing Joke
3. The Crow
Decent list.
Jimmie Collins Mine is Invincible, Black Science and Supreme power.
Is the crow's live action movie good?
I would only add to that with Transmetropolitan
@@wahidahmed2525 literally one of the best superhero movies ever made. Brandon Lee has left his legacy in it. sadly the movie has been forgotten, it deserves a bigger recognition
Jeremy out here looking like that comedian Chris D'Elia 🤣
Spot on bro
Vastilios ?
Lmao yes
Yup ....lol that's who he looks like...I couldn't point it out.
finished the movie the other night, was mind blown and went to youtube as usual to watch a review, when i noticed you hadnt made one yet, so like a normal person i didnt watch any others until today when u made one
Jeremy you gotta check out Vinland Saga. A viking epic that follows a tale of revenge but has a lot of underlying philosophical and political themes and intrigue. It is on Amazon Prime and the first season has finished. Highly recommend it.
Best anime of last year
IVAN GG you havent seen beastars
@@iMasque3194 sadly all the hype was with demon slayer
go back to studying Beastars was up there but I still think Vinland is better
I swear if someone pops up here saying "no it was Demon Slayer" I'm gna lose my shit
About the Synder Cut:
I was always under the impression it was planned as a trilogy and the "Zack Snyder's Justice League" is just part 1/3, and it just shows Darkseid in the end.
Part 2/3 is where the nightmare scene becomes a reality.
Part 3/3 is the finale where Batman dies and Superman/Lois name their baby "Bruce"
It wasnt. It was just gonna be 2 movies. But ur kinda right on how the plot was going to be
@godzillarex888 bruh it's effin great
@@bryzantine1571 it was 3 movies originally 1 was in 2017 and 2 was in 2018 and 3 in 2021 or something like that
BloodWolf No, it was announced as JL Parts 1 and 2 and Batman would have died in 2. Then one more movie in Snyder’s five film arc.
It would have been MOS, BvS, JL1 and JL2 and then the reactions to BvS made them insecure and they changed the plan to be 5 films to space it all out before we get to the rough stuff.
You should grow chops, part your hair down the middle, and rock the “old west banker” look
Nice review btw
This man has the most luscious hair I've ever seen
he is growing his John Wick hair
Jeremy's hair is out of control. It's ridiculous right now! 😁
You nailed my life with that Prime Time Power Ranger Epic...life stopped during those episodes!
Bro, I felt the same way. It was like nothing else mattered because you're watching Power Rangers... at night lol.
You should watch Batman: Under The Red Hood. You will really enjoy that one.
I say keep growing it out. You got this whole Keanu Reeves / Adam Driver look going.
Never saw John Wick doing movie reviews during Quarantine 😆😆😆
Moist Meter never stopped
As for the hair and beard Jeremy - personally I think you’re starting to look like you could be a stunt double for Keanu Reeve’s John Wick.
Which is no bad thing! :D 😎
Jeremy Wick “They close my barber shop now they must pay” lol
Nice haircut there Teen Wolf.
Legit though, still looks good.
Came to the comments to see if people liked the movie, nothing but talk of jeremy's hair, actually not disappointed lol
Never cut your hair Jeremy. It is perfect as it is.
If you love John Constantine then watch his R rated stand alone movie
The Keanu Reeves version?
@@viksaggu9085No, it's called Constantine: City of Demons
Your hair looks good longer. Funny that most DC cartoons are pretty good.
At least Michael Ironside reprised his role as Darkseid in the new Harley Quinn animated series
Episode 9 is out 😂😂😂I’ve watched it Harley Quinn expresses her feelings properly to ivy but doesn’t go well. Ivy and Harley fuck like twice Idek how it’s possible but yh
It involves a lot of rubbing.
@@iambusy247 ??? It's ?? Super possible to fuck twice lmao. But watch out for spoilers, that is the newest episode (I've saw it, but others might not have)
It felt like this version of the DC universe just started and now it's already over. At least they're still making animated movies, DC may have stumbled in the live action scene but they have nailed most of the animated versions.
I don't think so. The animated line up had been amazing but mostly for the show only. This movie universe, while is decent and well made compared to the live action, still filled with some really average movies.
@@sharilshahed6106 most of the movies were good though. Dcs animated stuff is pretty good to great. I wouldn't really say average except a few movies.
Fans deserve to see Batman to look over a bloody Superman and say "I didn't have to go easy on you....I want them to remember it was me who beat you" instead of the Martha stuff.
I've always wanted DC to do more with Matt Ryan for years now.
In 2018, I came up with the same idea Jeremy did, of just have him in lucifer.
All-Star Superman, DC: The New Frontier, and Kingdom Come are the holy trinity of DC stand-alone stories.
But if you like your comics dark, then I’d recommend you read Grant Morrison’s Arkham Asylum: A Serious House I’m Serious Earth in a heartbeat.
SPOILERS
I think Damian Wayne and Raven’s relationship is a really good idea and it should be brought back in other media
Agreed!!!!
Can you imagine a future BATMAN with real demon powers 😱
I hated it when it was introduced. But by the end it worked
Starfire has Nightwing so yeah
Sadly it won't continue in this universe :(
Jeremy kindof looks like john wick but without the murderous intent 😂
For reals😅
As far as we know
Man these comments lately about Jeremy’s hair...
And I’m like, “DAT HAIR LOOK GOOD!”
Till he runs his hands through them. Then it's like waking up on the wrong side of bed.
The ending to this is oddly similar to the way Scott Snyder "ended" his run on Justice League recently.
The fact you referenced TGIF, TMNT/Power Rangers premiering at 8pm on a Friday Night, and IN THE 90’s is the reason I watch this shit!! Love it, JJ.
"Or just have [John Constantine] be in the next season of Lucifer!"
Jeremy, ol' buddy, ol' pal... I got some bad news for ya.
At least they got a scene together in crisis on infinite earths
What I don’t get it
@@tsidkenuo the next season of Lucife isn't going to happen, and the show will be finished in a graphic novel instead.
