I used these for 2 years and it was probably the best running shoes Ive ever had durability and versatility wise. Used it for road running, hiking, playing basketball, badminton, volleyball, worked well for everything
@@angelmaldonado5657 nope, 0 wear and tear. The front part is partially covered by the thin layer of rubber so it works as a protection. My feet didnt hurt at all when I used it for other activities. Which is why I continued using it. Flyease series have a zipper on the side of the shoes so it was easy to put it on too
Based on Ben’s recommendation 1080 v11 for me ! Light and cushion and upper is so forgiving and comfortable; I can pick up pace somewhat but prefer for easier daily runs. I also have a Nike infinity run v1 and a pair of saucony speed 1 for racing speed day; I reach past the infinity runs to the new balance almost every time just reflexively …. I think that says it all.
Reebok floatride energy v.2 and v.3 are great value trainers that feel like they're worth way more. Reebok always seems to have them in sale too. Double winner!
My best daily shoe is Reebok Floatride Energy3 (and Energy1 for rainy days). I can use them from very slow warmup run in deep winter to 300m sprint repeat.
I like this shoe, very comfortable for shorter distances. So this had become my go to shoe for shorter more comfortable runs. For longer faster runs I prefer my tempo next %
How many runs did you get in the 37’s? They were also very hard when I first got them, but after about 20 or so miles in them they softened up and felt REALLY good
@@tristanliggett4088 I still use my 37s for training runs but they just feel sluggish. They remind me of the winflows which were my first running shoe… just a bit heavy and a bit bulky
I just got the 38s as my first running shoe at 100$ just cause the NB 1080 were 150$ in my local shoe store. Despite the fact that the 38s might not be as good, imo it looks more stylish for casual wearing, the 1080s are very clear about their purpose in the design. Good review, very entertaining to watch.
I run with old £40 shoes, for 5ks, 10ks, marathons, trails... You name it! Would love to try one of these big flashy shoes to see if they ACTUALLY make the difference!!
Just finishing with the 37s and very happy with them but now trying the v11 new balance following your old v10 review and they're great! Thanks so much for the insight as always.
Totally agree with the NB 1080 as the best all rounder, and I was a total Pegasus lover until the 37's. Love the NB 1080's, I always want to wear them.
My No.1 is Puma Velocity Nitro and No.2 is Novablast. Both are fun, comfortable and great at all paces. I have also just purchased the Speed 2, so looking forward to testing those. Keep up the great work Ben!
I bought the 37 and absolutely hate them they just feel dead I’m tempted to Chuck in the NB 1080 in to my rotation for my easy runs currently have the novablast which suit me brilliantly
I’ve used the Pegs for a long time but hated the 37. It was way too heavy (same size as Ben) was dead and slapped on the road. I won’t be buying them again and like Ben don’t enjoy React foam. 1080’s are my daily easy day shoe. Love the rocker feeling and they last for 1000kms without compressing. I might try the NB More in the future.
Totally agree, ordered a second pair of 1080v11s last night Ben! Give nice ground feel, not as cushioned as they make out but enough and have a nice rocker, hard to beat the 1080! Puma Velocity nitro beats the peg as well, Nike have took their eyes of the daily runners for sure!
Still running down Boston 7 and 8s. The 7 is fab, should have bought another. Reebok Energy FR 3 is current daily but doesn't do well with strides on an easy run. Had the peg 35 and 36. Never a fan. Will likely try Boston 10 next
One of my biggest issues is the tongue on the 38s. Can’t quite figure it out at first, feels really bulky. After several runs, the shoe molds to your foot better. But I just got a pair of Novablast 1s and I can’t stop running in them. Looks like I’ll just wait for the fall to wear the 38s since the upper is pretty hot for the muggy summer months
Just picked up these shoes at a Nike outlet store for £58. I wanted a pair of shoes that wouldn’t be bad for my feet but weren’t too pricy as I’m just starting out running and don’t know if I’ll enjoy it yet! Super comfy on first try on and excited to start jogging in them!
My favourite daily running shoe was the Nike Pegasus Turbo 1. But at some point, during the product’s lifecycle, the men’s shoe in size 40/41 became the same as the women’s shoe. So when i ordered my second pair of (men’s) turbo 1, i actually received a women’s shoe labelled as men’s. Then this continued with the Turbo 2. I would be interested to know if the new models from nike, still have this problem? We are unfortunately unable to buy wide fit (+5mm) in the UK and extra wide fit is a lot wider (+10mm). I’d just like to buy Nike shoes in a standard men’s fit size 40, but i don’t think i can.
I couldn’t get on with the 37, the react foam doesn’t work for me. Got a few pairs of 36’s to keep me going but too many better options from other brands out there now! Hyperion tempo and endorphin speed are current favourites.
I just find the Peg road range so clunky and flat but would love to like them. I have Reebok Energy 3 (&2), NB Rebel V2, Skechers Razor Excess & Asics NovaBlast as daily’s. I do fancy trying a Puma shoe though 🤔
Good review 👍🏻 I have some of these now & I’ve had 35’s, 36’s & 37’s & they suit me but I’m a much more steady runner & the comfort suits me 😁 I do have some 4% vaporflys for when I’m feeling speedy but they have been resting during lockdown 😂 - love your channel Ben even though I’m a steadier runner still find it motivating, keep your honest content coming 👍🏻🏃🏼♀️🏃🏼♂️
Great review. Just received Pegasus 38 in all black. I return running again after 6 months break. I was diagnosed with mitral valve prolapse in March, I had arrhythmia when running and at nights. Hope I`ll be fine with the beta blockers. Will test the shoe tomorrow, take it for a 3K (perhaps will end up with less K though, taking baby steps). It feels comfy, I hit the gym today wearing it. Fully agree, the mesh feels a bit too basic, less breathable comparing to Pegasus 37. You can pick up a pair with 20% discount on Nike website btw... I`ve ordered a pair of Adidas Adios 6 Tokyo? Any thoughts on these shoes?
Personally really enjoying my 38s. Super versatile, outsole is great going from tarmac to light trails. Not noticing the weight too much, I'm quite wide on the foot and enjoying trying to "hit" the Zoom pocket under step. If going faster I naturally grab the Endorphin Speeds but can't argue with the value.
I personally think that NB fresh foam X in any iteration before 1080 v13 and More v4 isn't even close to the comfort and performance of Nike react foam. Only starting from 1080 v13 fresh foam X has become alive. It used to be a firm piece of a brick causing injuries for me. New 1080 v13 might win a competition with new Pegasus now. But many people might say opposite and I understand why. Pegasus are just great shoes. I used train for a marathon and raced in it. Then gave them away to a friend. Missing that ideal performance even having Saucony Triumph.
Thank you for not saying this is one of the best daily trainers out there. So many reviewers seem to say that canned line but this is a pretty boring shoe in all respects. I returned mine after a day. Your honest opinion is much appreciated!
Ben I’ve just realized I don’t think you’ve reviewed the Vaporfly 2s! Would love a review on these and thoughts for ideal marathon shoe this year, I’m in a dilemma as I want to treat myself to a pair of shoes to “race” in but can’t decide between Vaporfly 2 or Alphafly - Alphafly can get a discount on but doesn’t work on Vaporfly 2 so the price is basically the same!
Hi Ben, I have to say that the Saucony Speed 1 is my go-to shoe for tempo and races 10k and under. I've got better performance from it than even the vaporfly v2. Im not certain why, but perhaps the upper is a little better and suits me? I was a bit disappointed in the VapourFly2 as i expected it to be better than the Speed. For a daily the Brooks ghost is pretty ok for those needs. thanks for the videos !
Would love to see your thoughts on the speed 2! The original has been my go to daily trainer for the roads right now since my mach 4 outsole is looking pretty rough these days
Hi Ben, great video! I have send a message to your customer contact page on your website regarding a marathon plan I've purchased. Is that the best way to contact you or are you social media pages better? Thanks in advance!
There are just so many shoes to choose from. I have seen you recently review nike vaporfly, alphafly new balance fuel cell and now these. I am confused on which one to buy. I run about 25 to 30 miles per week and I would love a running shoe that helps you run faster and easier if their is such a thing? Which 👞 should I choose?🤔
Pegasus has become, for me, a workout like HIIT or easy weight lifting and a walking all day type shoe. I didn’t really enjoy them for running and that’s even going back afew models also.
I really enjoy running in the 37s, but the 38 just hasn't done it for me. You nailed the big thing Ben - it's heavy. It feels really clunky compared to the 37s. Is the Invincible a better shoe in that regard for everyday easy running?
I used these for 2 years and it was probably the best running shoes Ive ever had durability and versatility wise. Used it for road running, hiking, playing basketball, badminton, volleyball, worked well for everything
Did you notice any wear and tear? If so how bad is it? Also when you did those hard activities did your feet hurt?
@@angelmaldonado5657 nope, 0 wear and tear. The front part is partially covered by the thin layer of rubber so it works as a protection. My feet didnt hurt at all when I used it for other activities. I must admit kept picking up the saucony speed 1 each time I go out for a tempo run really love the feel and response from the shoe
Love the Asics Novablast, would love a review of Novablast 2
Me too, and waiting to receive Novablast V2 from Running Warehouse USA in days.
bought a second pair of the first gen recently ;)
I like using super shoes for daily training, adidas pro v1 , the new Skechers speed freak and the alpha fly next %, vapor fly next as well
Pegasus original Turbos still my favorite.
That was also my all time favourite shoe! If only you could still get them... I'm so sad of having missed that window of opportunity...
I like this shoe, very comfortable for shorter distances. So this had become my go to shoe for shorter more comfortable runs. For longer faster runs I prefer my tempo next %
The 37s I found hard and lifeless. Whereas the Pegasus turbo 2 is one of my favourite shoes.
I could not agree more 👍🏻

I loved the 37, I'll probably pick up the 38s when they release it in some more exciting colours.
yea those colour ways are really uninspiring
Sent mine back, far too hot and has a dull feeling. Now run in the Next Tempos for races and speed work, then the Invincibles for easy runs.
Great review. Great shout for rerun. Thanks
Thanks Des! Got 18 pairs to drop off with them tomorrow.. lovely people!
My favourite daily shoe is the Hoka One One Rincon 2 - a great, comfortable all-round trainer, which I like for roads and (not crazily rough) trails.

Lol a brit complaining about heat in the UK? You have no reason to complain, m8 😂 - Texas (US)
I’m not a fan of Pegasus, never liked them. They don’t feel good. Zoom X foam is SO much better!!!
Its true its not a fun shoe TO run … asics Novablast much beter …a lots of fun TO run on Novablast 🏃🏻
Tbh I just wear them casually.
They're actually really comfortable and they look really good with most outfits
