Trains at Sherwood, Tennyson, Moolabin and Darra. 9th May 2024

Featuring Aurizon, Watco and Pacific National Locomotives.
(00:08) Aurizon locos 2839 and 2849 climb into Sherwood with a mostly empty Seaway Intermodal train.
(01:31) Watco locos WRA005 and WRB2181 head west with an empty grain train.
(03:03) Pacific National loco PN005 slows for a red signal at Tennyson before entering PNQ's Brisbane terminal at Moolabin as rain starts to fall.
(07:32) at sunny Darra, 2336D and 2200F speed west with empty coal train 9626.
(09:00) as the empty train disappears towards Wacol, loaded coal train 9819 pulled by 2302D and 2388D run towards the camera and on to the port of Brisbane at Fisherman Island..

yes I think I only counted 6 containers on the front of the train. It is called a sea train as it travels from and inland hub at Emerald to the port of Brisbane. It's been running for over a year now and brings containerized local grain and produce to the sea port. Linfox does similar with containerised freight to north Queensland using Aurizon trains. They run to a timetable and sometime don't have anywhere near a full load.

You're on my turf there Alan! I attended a fault on the crossover at SHerwood last week....it's always playing up! I'm on nights this week , so will be working on points somewhere in your video ..LOL.
