Game looks solid. The Avatar game they made had some of the most stunning environments I've seen in a game (probably only rivaled by Horizon FW). Sucks that the culture war weirdos have latched onto it.
Avatar Frontiers is beautiful but the world and environments feel dead, just like most open world games. The only open game that feels alive, dynamic, and real is Red Dead 2. Even Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk have shallow world atmospheres that feel lifeless or depth-less.
I hope random stuff happen throughout the game in Outlaws without too much content repetition.
@@OfficialNinjaNoodle I'd also wager Kingdom Come Deliverance but the visual fidelity there is a step and a half (perhaps even two) down on the others.
Not to be contrarian but I think it looks pretty great so far 🤷♂️ it’s a kind of Star Wars game we’ve not played before and I am excited ☺️

I think most of the hate is less to do with the game and more to do with all the recent controversy surrounding ubisoft. I'm not even a starwars or ubisoft fan but the game doesnt look bad at all
I never buy anything but the base versions of games, but the first ever open world Star Wars game deserves a gold edition purchase from me. It looks absolutely incredible.

John Williams music is such a big part of the identity of Star Wars and it's been a long time since anyone even got close to that identity.

The game devs being passionate about Star Wars definitely gives me a good feeling about this game. So far I think it all looks great and is my most anticipated game for this year. I've always loved free roam games and Star Wars so this game coming out is really a dream come true.

I really love the environment in the game. Trees flailing in the wind "Water splashing and dirt kicks up. It's great to look at. The graphics look good 👏
As a Star Wars fan since I was a child, this game makes me happy.
Ubisoft has extensive experience with open world games. Perfect for a Star Wars game! I hope they make a Transformers game in the same vein as War For Cybertron and Fall of Cybertron soon!!
Thank you for this. So refreshing to hear from one of the actual developers regarding the game and gameplay itself. Its a shame only that Ubisoft is doing what they are doing to this game, the season pass, the paywall, the pricing... A shame, since the pedigree of these developers stand on their own merit and i think they will produce an excellent game.
After seeing the planet Koboh in Jedi survivor, I’m super excited to see any new planet that any studio works on with the Lucasfilm team. Koboh is one of my favourite locations in all of Star Wars now and I’m stoked to see what Toshara turns out to be like, as well as Kojimi since I’ve only seen it in one bad movie lol.
I've been sold on this game since last year watching the gameplay. Please guys just make it fun and playable. Good luck because I plan on picking it up within the first 2 weeks after release. 👍

As a big fan of the Assassin’s Creed series and Star Wars, this game looks like it will hit all the sweet spots. Very excited for it, especially with the protagonist not being a Jedi. Hope it has a good photomode!
Exactly. Will finally be able to shoot blasters and not be limited to a lightsaber.
For me, after playing both Fallen Order and Survivor, this looks like more of what appeals to me in Star Wars.
Those Jedi games were fun, but I was hoping for more of a sense of space exploration and adventure. Also the Jedi as characters and their world can be kind of dour and joyless.
Even though the Jedi Cal has that great ship, it doesn’t feel like he’s free to go anywhere. If Outlaws can live up to what it’s presented as, it will feel a lot more like playing out a Star Wars fantasy… let’s see how it turns out
the way i look at it, FO and Survivor are Jedi simulator games, this game will be a true open world SW game

Outlaws looks amazing it will be amazing than we have these other idiots going on about ugly characters are missing the bigger picture and that is gameplay what can this game bring to the table what things u can u do how alive the world is
Definitely some interesting thoughts about the making of the game. Looking forward to playing Outlaws when it’s finally out. I want to explore those planets and see how it feels to traverse them.
I'm a little concerned he has nothing to say on the topic of what makes the factions different, the pykes and hutts he gives as an example are both brutal smugglers, where's the incentive to pick one over the other?
Just trying to keep them all balanced so they don't send assassins sounds like a pretty boring reason to make decisions
Can you say what makes one criminal faction different than the other?
Think about it, The Hutts and Pykes both deal in smuggling. What is the difference between them apart from what they are smuggling?
My bet is it all comes down to rewards and what areas/missions are available within each syndicate.

The game looks really good, and the amount of detail in each scene talks about how passionate the developers were regarding the world. Really appreciate them not going for the 'hero'/'chosen one' route. Kay and Nix both seem interesting, especially Nix. I just hope the story is big and layered enough for a game of this scale.
It's such a bummer that this game is mixed up in purchase price issues, pre-order paywalls and the like... it truly looks fantastic and everything I love about Star Wars!! Cautiously optimistic about this game!

@@CRF250R1521 idk man. Certain games seem to be progressively worse and more predatory in terms of packages/DLC.
It's not just this game, other games have pre orders etc. I get it if you don't have the pre order money on time it sucks there's a time limit totally get that (if that's the case) but if i want something from the pre order i always go ahead and buy it, I don't hold it against them if they have pre order incentives it's how everyone does business, there's always incentives even in the real world, you want to work for a certain company there's a reason, and maybe the reason why is they have better insurance, or you like the people more and so on, there's always incentives.

Ah, okay, Snowdrop engine talk kinda disproves the rumors that Beyond good and evil 2 was stripped for this game.
Pretty sure they will use snow drop engine for most of their games, because they can improve the engine since it's their engine and not another companies. As he explained in the video.
I would go crazy for a star trek version of this with Orions and Andorians, and the scoundrel who works with starfleet but has their own agenda
Great discussion and overview ❤. Hopefully, Ubisoft will get this right, otherwise Disney will come down hard on Ubisoft like they did with EA regarding Star Wars Battlefront.
It's nice that the graphics requirements are adapted to the Switch.

I’m hoping the story and gameplay is fun, but ALSO that the world itself is interesting and not boring and empty.
I’m liking the game from what I’ve seen so far, yeah the pricing for ultimate edition definitely gave me sticker shock but the game itself seems great and can’t wait to play it 😊

I want a scoundrel Jedi… like a Ezra or Kanan from rebels… Ubisoft sounds like they have a great mix of experience and Star Wars coming out soon :)
I dont like vignette and film grain in games, they add filters on top of the screen that take away from the visual clarity in my opinion. Also, why games in 2024 have motion blur is beyond me. It should be turned off by default when you first launch a game, and the game feels so much smoother without it on. Some motion blurs also make me nauseous.

I don't believe a word they're saying because division didn't release like the showcase demo! It was horrendously downgraded in everyway no apology or accountability, and they're charging up to £130 for ultimate edition! Ubisoft make me sick! They don't want us to own games, claim they've hit AAAA standards and again and again it's a tedious repetitive lazy pattern and shocking release states. Do not pre order!!!

Man is it too much to ask that just for once we get a good Star Wars shooter game. We got the bangers of the Jedi series, but EA’s Battlefront games (more so on launch day I know) and more recently the travesty that was and still is the Classic Collection doesn’t really leave much in the way of good Star Wars games of the modern day, that does not always require a lightsaber to beat.
I’ll give Massive Entertainment the benefit of the doubt only because the Division series and the more recent Avatar game was way more of a success overall than a complete failure. But man, just hoping for a good Star Wars shooter, so I’m hoping for the best for this game.

ehh he's actually right according to the current lore, the Grand Hutt Council just got wiped out right around the time the game takes place (minus Jabba) so it leaves him and his operation on Tatooine at the very top
You're not an outlaw in a game called outlaws, typically an outlaw is a fugitive criminal (not nice people)and with this game 100% you won't be able to be like that, unless you can assist jabba and freeze people, sell him slaves, assist Darth vader and stuff then you're not really an outlaw you're just a goody two shoes again like previous star wars games boring af.
What's the point in not having custom characters if they've just made another home-brewed boring cal kestis character, at this point let people play as boba fett, ventress, cad bane or bossk at least people know who these characters are and they fit the definition of an outlaw.

Everything in the game looks FANTASTIC! With one exception. The protagonist. I will still buy it, but I miss the days of attractive women in games.

She's not awful looking. She looks like a normal person. And the attention to detail and scope of this thing is commendable. Not saying it's a good game, I haven't played it yet and neither have you. The price tag on the DLC is a bit ridiculous but you are under no obligation to buy it. I personally think it's stupid to preorder expansions for a game you're not sure you'll like but to each his own.
I think it looks great. And I support any big company still willing to make big budget single player games. You can tell a lot of love went into making it. Honestly, I can't imagine not liking it.
Outlaws just looks meh, I think. I also think it's hard to trust Ubisoft or modern Star Wars for great quality most of the time and that the great stuff is the exception now. Not the rule.

Even within the fantasy of star wars, a 4’8” 110 lb woman written as a protagonist is not going to play out well.
She would be merc’d in the first scene.
Portraying this character as an “action hero” dealing with brutality via punching out/brawling/shooting antagonists is likely to be too goofy to be respectable.
