This is probably my favorite game my late dad played. It was like a journey we took together. He was always impressed when I solved a puzzle before he did. The fossil took us a while though 😂
Robbins makes the comment that it could have been a million years since Attila was sent out, but given that they just traveled to a new solar system in a couple of minutes... how does that follow? If Attila had traveled the long, slow way, sure, but not with instantaneous wormhole-style travel.
It could have broken down and been floating around in space for a very long time. They had to piece together that puzzle inside the asteroid before it warped out of dodge. Remember?
all lucasarts games were made badly, as bad as sierra, the only lucas game i liked and could tolerate its harassment was the 2nd indiana jones's atlantis. 1st it has no sound effect, and no text or voice interruption. in the dig, if you click characters , they go on repeating talking for a minute and go on and on. at least in indiana jones, each speech was about no more than 5 seconds long. but in dig, it truly became a harassment that made you fall asleep.
and if you weren't aware, hitting ESC or the period key, would help you skip dialogue. Also, if the voices bothered you, you could actually switch to text only.
He is right, and hitting ESC does not progress all dialogs and also a bad decision to let anyone talk everywhere about anything if they don't have something new to say that would progress the game further.

Game def shows its' age, but still a great storyline/plot, imo. Two minutes in I thought of "Armageddon" from 1998. 👍🏼😄

Gotta love those short attention spans.
