    As a junior at MTSU and flight instructor at the flight school, I love the Aerospace program. It feels like such a small program with how we all know each other, when it's one of the main programs for the university. I'm so glad I made the choice to go to MTSU, and I would recommend it to anyone who's looking for aviation colleges.

    One of my closest friends, now flying for Delta, graduated from MTSU. He has nothing but good things to say about the campus, the program, and the staff, at MTSU. For flight-related careers, it's one of the best there is.

    i use to work at the Diamond factory and some of those DA40's look familiar. lots of movement in aviation for mechanics, dispatchers and pilots now, looks like a great facility, excellent video

    I went to LeTourneau University in Texas, which has a very similar program, only with a Christ-centered education added in. The ability to study multiple aspects of aviation like this has immense value as one can be a controller who is also a pilot who is also a mechanic. Knowing the broader aspects of your career choice gives you a wonderful perspective as you work with the other fields daily. The education I received there was on par if not better than most of the bigger schools, and the cost was nowhere near the quarter-million dollar price tag of the top-three names in aviation education. Great tour of MSTU - It was nice to see their similarities with my own educational experience, and I already understand the hindsight value to each of those students for their own futures! Excellent!

    Hello FliteTest, I'm an aeronautical engineering college student and it's so nice to see you do a tour of the MTSU Aerospace program, would be awesome to see more similar content. By the way, I'm a big fan of your builds, just built a customized autonomous FT Mighty Mini Arrow with my team for an engineering project competition. Thank you for inspiring my passion for engineering and scratch-building.

    Josh(s) glad to see you checking out university aviation programs.... while you are at it please look into N.I.F.A National Intercollegiate Flying Association. This is PRECISION Aviation with flight teams from most Aviation University Programs that do some flat out amazing things. Imagine watching pilots on these flight teams aiming for landing on a SIX INCH wide line for touchdown......and do it on a regular basis!!!!! This is just one of the interesting things that University programs offer.

    FAA Dispatcher here in the northeast. It's the most fun you can have in the field with out actually flying the plane.

    If anyone is interested in a career in any field of aviation, be sure to check out the University of North Dakota. They have the largest private fleet of training aircraft in the US, and is basically known as the Harvard of aviation. Awesome school all around!

    I was saying to myself, "Self, the State of Tennessee ought to fund that program to the MAX!" Then I checked, and there is an aeronautical engineering program at Tennessee Knoxville. So, I'm guessing that state legislators would be reluctant to fund MTSU at the expense of their flagship university.

    But kids, understand this : I’ve been flying before I ever drove a car! 13 is when I started at Culver Mil Acad. Its amazing for about a minute, then it’s boring! There’s nothing up there: the fun is down here on earth! Where the people are and your family is. Flying is a job, it’s work and it is tedious. It’s not fun after a few weeks. Don’t be mislead or have delusions of grandeur from some movie you saw.

    • @PilotPlater
      @PilotPlater 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I got my glider pilot licence before I got my drivers licence
      Then I got my Private Pilot's Licence before I got my (Canadian) g2 licence, so I still couldn't drive by myself.
      Then I got my instructor rating, and I could drive by myself, but only just now, after I've been teaching people to fly for 4 years can I actually teach people to drive (need to have full G licence for 5 years in Ontario, Canada to supervise a driver).
