Long time Longines wearer here. I absolutely love them for what they are, and what I want in a watch. I find they have a huge value proposition (you get a lot for your investment). I would however, say that if you take a look at their offerings, it's very easy to get overwhelmed with the sheer number of watches they have for sale. I'm glad you were able to highlight some of the key pieces.
Longines is my favorite watch brand. Most of their watches are the best value for the price compared to other more expensive watch brands. As a result, I can afford to have two or three Longines watches for the price of just one watch of similar design and quality of other watch brands, allowing me to have a different style watch for different aspects of my lifestyle (from casual to dress to sports/scuba diving to aviation to match my wardrobe, etc.). I also like the historical aviation watches in the Longines line like the Lindbergh Hour Angle Watch. I have seven different Longines watches in my watch collection.
You are absolutely correct The design is on point, the heritage is there and although prices continue to creep up they are still better value in my opinion than Rolex. The Longines sector dial is a classic watch by any standards.
Not my favorite brand (it used to be), but definitely one of. I love their designs and the execution is also more than good. If they were Omega-level finishing I would've loved them and not buy anything else, but that would double the price and then there'd be other brands again. I've owned 3 Longines but all sold them for various reasons, but will definitely buy one again. The Power Reserve is on my radar.
@neilgibbs3185How do you guys manage to drag Rolex into every single video. Does the brand really have that much power over you. Just once I like to see someone defend a brand without dragging Rolex into the argument
@@lonewolfemcquade8133 A casual remark has you throwing your toys out of the pram.Don't you see the irony of your post. Rolex dragged into it yet again by YOU !!!!
My dream collection would be an Omega Aqua Terra, Tudor BB58, and both a Longines legend diver and spirit Zulu. Longines is underrated for the quality they provide and that great price point. Love Longines
I can get very much behind that, but only drop the Tudor. Owned one (the blue), but sold after a couple weeks. Definitely my quickest sell-on. I'd rate the Zulu much higher, and for a nice wearable dive watch there are so many options
Longines is on 🔥 right now! Great brand ! My emotional affinity for the brand goes back to photos of their clocks at old baseball stadiums. I’ve owned a few Longines pieces….and they hold their own with my Omega and Rolex pieces. Thanks for highlighting the brand Teddy!
Longines is my favorite watch brand. They make so many great pieces. Most other watch brands make a watch or two that I like but their other pieces have things I would want changed in order to spend my money.
I love my Zulu time. I also have a vintage sector dial probably from the 50’s. Easy to see how they make their historically inspired pieces work in the current offerings.
Dude I literally just fell asleep last night, watching your diver watch vid with the pro diver, and woke up, and finally began my watch wishlist, started with LONGINES, and you post this🎉
I’m a big collector of vintage Longines and Omega. My daily is a 1970 Longines Comet. Fairly rare watch with an absolutely incredible mystery dial. Can’t wait to add more “under the radar” gems to my collection!
By far my favorite brand, I've got the Spirit 37 champagne dial as my main sports watch and the Master Collection small seconds silver dial carved numerials as my main dress watch.
Great video! I have a previous generation Conquest. Its never seemed to be too popular, but I love it. Waterproof to 300 meters and crazy accurate. Its really given me an appreciation for Longines and the L888 caliber.
The L888 movement is excellent. I know Teddy doesn’t think that accuracy is very important, but my Hydroconquest’s L888 gains less than 1 second a day. Pretty good!
Great video as usual. My Spirit 37mm in black actually ended my pursuit of watches. Bought it months ago, and since then never felt the itch to get enything else, which was not the case before 😅
Yes, definitely an enthusiast watch, and only for the minority that loves dress watches and even smaller minority that loves rectangular watches. I’m the proud owner of that beauty and also the 35mm Conquest heritage, which continues to be my favourite watch.
I feel like there's one Longines model that always gets left out of the discussion in this type of videos and that's the Record line. Simple, yet elegant and classy, also COSC certified.
I've had the Record Heritage Chronograph. It's been shown by Teddy a couple of times. Loved the black and gold combination, and it also wears nice. It had the unfortunate luck that I bought 2-3 expensive watches in a month or two, so needed the money. The watch I bought instead was my daily for the past 3 years so I don't regret it, but would've loved to keep the Longines Record also. Only dislike was the noisy rotor (I really disliked that).
That 190th Master thing was gorgeous, and the moon phase was an amazing piece of kit. The "cheap" Flagship was also beautiful. Even better, the following moon phase. I am saving up for something like these four. Maybe the Heritage Moon Phase at 15:00 is the grail for me.
Really interesting video. It's turning me into a huge Longines fan. I have an old Longines I inherited (not working unfortunately) so I already had an interest in the line. Thanks very much. I enjoy your videos a lot!
I have 5 Longines in my collection…the Master Collection 190th Anniversary Silver dial, the Ultra-Chron on the brown leather strap, the all black ceramic Hydroconquest, the brown Hydoconquest GMT, and the blue dial 39mm Legend diver…. I’m obviously a fan.
3:05 I got my Conquest Heritage for my 18th birthday years ago and I still really love it! It's great to finally see it featured and hear what people think of it
Love my Longines Avigation. One BIG plus of this brand (being part of the Swatch Group): service is "affordable" and does not take 6 months! Looking at you, my dear Breguet...
@mattk8166 True that, but it doesn't feel that way when it comes to servicing, compared to Longines, unfortunately. But yeah, it was a poor example, I'll admit it. My bad.
Absolutely love my Hydro Conquest.. saw the new add with green dial and fell in love.. Green is not my first choice but it became my Christmas present to my self 💚
Love these Longines. Actually tried on the Flagship Heritage Moonphase at a dealer recently. Very impressed with fit and looks fantastic. Thanks Teddy!
Teddy your videos are so timely! I’m currently in the market for a new watch and have it narrowed down between the Flagship Heritages and the Sector Dial. I’ve tried on both (in fact just tried on the flagships yesterday) but I need to try the Sector Dial one last time. The watch that got me into watches is my 39mm Spirit Zulu Time which I got to celebrate my engagement. I’ve looked at other brands but I can’t step away from Longines. I’m afraid that im just going to end up getting both of the watches eventually and it will just be a matter of which one I get first. But I also want to add the Legend Diver too lol. Looks like I will pretty much have a stable of Longines watches which I’d be 100% okay with. Thanks for the timely video!
The best of Longines in my opinion are the legend Diver, Flagship moon phase and the Bigeye chronograph 😊 this would be a fantastic 3 watch collection 😊
I recently fell in love with the Legend Diver. Think it is one of the most beautiful time pieces out there currently. That and then the new Automatic Conquest Steel. Absolutely stunning pieces. Yes to get my first from Longines!
Every time I look at Longines something new jumps out to me. Like that black and silver Conquest Heritage Central Power Reserve was not on my radar, and I'm enamored with it now.
I’m lucky enough to own the ‘big- eye’ in titanium. Awesome watch. My next watch is going to be the 37mm Sprit, in black/ bracelet combo. Longines have a fantastic collection, at decent prices. Would certainly recommend them.
Love Longines, I own two models, the Flagship Heritage 1957 and the Master Chronograph moonphase, both are probably my most elegant and refined watches and hope to keep them forever.
Longies is a great brand. My Hydroconquest 39, that i've been wearing since christmas, is currently at +10 seconds so it's super accurate. If only they would get rid of the ***** Amazon rating on their dials, i will break my rule of only one watch per brand and get me a Zulu time. Love those.
@HarryI ask your AD what he can do about the price. Longines allows them to be very flexible with the bargaining. I got a very good price and read online about even better deals
The Longines I'm most interested in is the new Ultra Chron Carbon ... It looks so dope that I would buy it on the spot if I could try it on, I don't think anyone has them yet though
Longines just seem to get better every year. I almost bought the. Zulu Time a few years ago but that was before the 39mm version and the larger version didn’t fit my wrist. My only issue with Longines is that they way they group their watches into different collections is so confusing. It’s like they employed a Seiko marketing guy to sort it out for them.
I love the Master Collection Moonphase. I'm willing to sacrifice a power reserve indicator for all of that complication.I like the Conquest with power reserve. I wish it had Arabic numerals rather than indices.
Love Longines, they have such a great range of beautiful designs. I would love to see them update the 42mm Legend Diver with no date, and the updated hands of the 39mm. The Ultra-Chron diver is also very cool, but the legibility of the hour hand doesn't seem to hold up in the reviews I've seen. That second hand really should stand out more, too, given the USP of the high-beat movement.
Love the Conquest Heritage, glad they made this 38mm as a mid-point between the existing 35mm and 40mm (too big for this kind of style IMO). They made a full gold case and dial version in the 50's that the sports model cribbed from, and that is a grail for me.
I really, really want to love Longines. Objectively great technically and in terms of value and heritage. Something about their design choices just really holds me back.

It would be great if many other watchmakers took a page out of Longines playbook. Rather than a display back of a relatively pedestrian movement with minor finishing, use a great looking closed casebook with a medallion, cool engraving, etc.
As someone without a lot of money Longine is out of my price range, but If I had the money the Conquest(old style) and the sector dial would be at the top of my list.
ive been looking at possibly getting a longgines for my wedding neat year, as they do seem to have some nice peices and are not out of my budget for a watch
Currently looking for something similar to the PRX but more expensive. Like the Frédérique Constant Highlife Worldtimer, Czapek Antarctique, and CW The Twelve. Any suggestions for more inspiration?

Swatch group has less expensive brands (Tissot, Hamilton, etc.) and more expensive brands (Omega, Breguet, etc.) so Longines can capitalize on the so-called ‘entry-level’ luxury market and allow Swatch group to attract customers at all price points.

Omega’s newer watches such as the new Seamaster 300M lines or the new sapphire sandwich Speedy Pro Moonwatch utilize in-house Omega movements which are neither ETA nor shared across Swatch brands AFAIK. But is Longines filling this gap in the market simply by choosing to sell more or less the same internals for $3k vs $10k?
