watching this was genuinely so good, because people really don't understand how individualistic experiences can be in a college and most of them look at the average placement or whatnot although tht is definitely true but these type of conversations are much needed, this was an amazing watch

Kanish bhaiyya I don't know personally but let me say he is that sort of person you instantly see and they leave lasting impression on you. This was a very informative video thank you so much. #PadhaiKaro #Afterboards
I recently failed both indore and ranchi and found this video really helpful to boost my morale. Waiting for your video "agar ipmat nahi nikla toh kya ? "
Much needed video, but I was pondering over sth, should we actually opt for the JIPMAT IIM's? Is the high fees for bachelors really worth it from IIM Jammu and Bodhgaya if one wants to give CAT after 3 years and get into a better IIM, or should one opt for a non-IIM with lower fees and then write CAT?
Both are absolutely fine options. 1. DU -> CAT 2. IPM -> CAT It depends on your financial feasibilities too! Plus, it is very individualistic. If you're someone who gets the (say) foreign research internship from IIM Bodhgaya (the stipend is 6000 Euros), then you'd be very happy with the opportunity that you were able to avail. But it is different for each one of them. The best course of action would be to write the entrance exams, and wait for the confirmations, and choose the best college among the options that you have!
I have taken full drop preparing for jee and ipm both ......but what if i am unable to crack jee then will it affect in my interview like what would i say that i have taken drop only for ipm? Doesn't it will give a bad impression???
It depends on how you narrate this incident. You can be honest about writing JEE and IPMAT. Say that you don't want to count the chickens before they're hatched. "Sir, it will be wise to compare or make a decision after I have an offer letter at hand; while IPM @ Indore is a B.A., it has a lot of maths, economics, statistics, calculus etc. which interest me too. I am trying to be prudent with college admissions, hence JEE and IPMAT, both." If your JEE doesn't go well, you can say, "Luckily, I was prudent and wrote IPMAT too. I am very serious about it, and have prepared well for the interview, and I am grateful to be here, ma'am." I hope this makes sense! It is all about packaging it well!
Absolutely loved the video, much insightful, thank you so very much!❤❤❤ Doubt @ 9:44 : I have heard this somewhere "if you don't know what to pursue in life, pursue yourself" and this has pushed me to take a drop for IPMAT. I'm a commerce student, didn't at all like the way commerce was being taught to us in school, so much dynamics, told to just mug up. Basically, I do not like the syllabi of any graduations prevailing currently. Meanwhile, IPM curriculum shines like a ember I'd so much love to juggle with burnt hands just to have it (take a drop year for that). So, is that fine? Is taking a gap year and grind hard purely to be taught something I like/want (kind of a luxury sense) worth it? Asking because you guys have completed those three years, and have that first hand experience.
Thank you so much for your kind comments, and the quote is absolutely brilliant. Yes, most courses in college aren't mug-up/regurgitate in the exams, you'll find 2-3 exceptions in a year, but most are much better than schools. Taking a gap year (while being mentally resilient), and justifying it as: "The curriculum of IPM stands out, the rigour stands out, and it is worth 1 additional year of investment for the headstart that it offers" in the interview is 100% valid.
You're referring to the CAT percentile, right? IIM Indore has 39% weightage to 10th and 20% weightage to 12th for their MBA admissions. There are students with 99.8%ile who haven't gotten a call from IIM Indore (for their MBA programme). This is not the case in IPM though. Try to maximise your %ile in CAT, it is very dependent on your profile.
If i enroll in ipm would I be able to quit after I write cat and get my scores ?... because I don't want to end up in a situation where I quit ipm and then end up getting the same level iim through CAT
> If i enroll in ipm would I be able to quit after I write cat and get my scores ? But if you want to forego one term's fees, you can always continue IPM and only exit when you qualify for a better /IIM/.

its already november and I havent started seriously preparing for ipmat, like i dont study consistently but give mocks, there are boards now too, and I want to get into Indore or Ranchi, is it still possible for me to crack this? I am a commerce + maths student also when asked in class or by anyone which college do you want to get into I just say 'I dont know" instead of "Indore" because I feel they will judge for having huge dreams while my results are not at the present moment aligning with it, they are much much ahead of me and it genuinely sometimes make me anxious
