- Today I will be showing you a step-by-step video on how to remove your hybrid battery in your Prius C. I am not a certified technician, and I do not guarantee my work but when I do guarantee is that I tried. Consult your local mechanic or Toyota dealership before starting any projects

I have a 2015 Prius C with 68k miles. Still drives like new and fluids still look new. I change the oil myself with mobil 1 every 10k miles. These lil cars are a beast

I clean that fan every 5000 Miles when I change my oil and filter it's very easy to access like he said just two clips I don't get much off the screen but some stuff does come off so cleaning it every 5000 miles with the oil change is a good way to keep track of it and make sure it always has good airflow and if you do it every time with the oil change you won't forget it'll just be a habit
i have the same car a bit newer but yes the dust build up on these is insane. ive got dogs too so hair build up is a problem. i recommend watching and sharing this video with other owners to spread this knowledge on the ease of cleaning the fan. the dealerships with either tell you you need a new battery and rip you off or charge you $$$$$ to remove a dust clog.

My car said the hybrid system wasn’t good the car had 146,000 miles I cleaned that fan and I’m at 154,792 batteries fine I took off the intake manifold cleaned that out because of the egr and put a quarter to block it engine lights on because it has more pressure in the egr but I gained mpg 50 going on the interstate and sometimes I hit 80 in the city if people are goings slow I like to speed so I’m always getting 50 or more mpg I also did an exhaust delete to the cat took off the airbox and decapped the enjectors I have a video on my channel flow testing them and I also have 350pounds or more in the trunk and it still gets that good of mpg

Yes, all like you described. I paid 800€ for an 2016 battery with 3000 km ! My YARIS is at 284000KM.

I asked my Toyota dealer for the price of an new battery. Answer: 1953€ plus work, all together about 2300€. Sorry for my english, i'm from north germany.

Bro your lucky high voltage didn’t spike up to you when you removed the service plug, you were suppose to disconnect the negative battery terminal first before anything

my 2012 prius C with 120miles has triangle&check engine light few times happen.is just cleaning bust bar will be ok or need to buy new cell module?i suspect corrosion to it.
Did you have to do anything special like reprogram the computer or did the battery just change out and work?
Michael Owens I was don’t you had to turn it on and off three time for the computer to cycle through. Worst case scenario if it doesn’t get a $30 code reader and reset the light and the code.
what is the error code? mine has 62000 miles. the battery warranty is how long?

My 2012 Prius C just came up with the same error code. Only 67,000 miles. Why not try replacing individual cells?
If yours is a 2012 and only 67,000 miles, it should be covered under warranty for you. Standard warranty on hybrid-related components are 8 years / 100,000 miles. In CARB (California Air Resources Board) states, warranty is 10 years / 150,000 miles.
+Austin Kinser I'm in Singapore and I've been using it for commercial purposes, so there's no more warranty :(
YOU CAN DO THAT AS WELL TRY CLEANING OFF YOUR BATTERY COOLING FAN AS WELL.. I CJANGED THE WHOLE PAC FOR 481 US DOLLAR

THAT STINKS I GOT MINE FROM A DIMANTLER WHO CHOPS CARS AND SELLS IN PIEACES I ALSO GOT ANOTHE FAN WITH THE DEAL AND SOLD MY OLD ONE FOR $40

Javier oops I was replying on the other video. Car runs great I have 287,k since this video and everything is fine clean the air filter to the battery every 6 months ecpecially if you drive with windows open

shakya bandara Updates I have 283,733 miles so far I do need to change the spark plugs. And shocks are shot of course I only range 47 average mpg. Still better than any other car and nothing broke yet

Sat Neer Many different things apply to purchasing the Prius, these cars are better in areas which are up to about 40 mph that’s where you get your most miles per gallon off I do a lot of highway in between so I generally get a 40to52 miles per gallon also this is not a great car for snow so the snows a lot where you live my not be a good option but overall as soon as I’m up I’ll be another one again. 150-300 miles per day and this car seems immortal. , 290,000 miles as of now. Are you looking for new or used

Here we import a lot of used Japanese cars like Toyota, Honda and Nissan...but lately there's a lot of demand for new Kia cars: coincidentally my daily driver is a Kia Rio sedan, 1.4 litre GDI, manual, year 2013...giving me 5.8L/100 km. I'm pleased with Kia but tempted to go for a Japanese hybrid vehicle. I drive 50 km per day approximately, mostly 110 km per hour for 3 minutes approximately and the rest between 20-60 km/hour

kbarouk I bought the battery from a salvage yard at 221k I have 293k since. I was told it had 30k on it
