    Oh how could I have forgotten about the tractor... that road was so steep! The gopro really doesn't show it. I couldn't even lift the bike off its stand without a shove!

      No way you forgot that! It was steep, you were complaining about not liking heights after the way up!

    Should have I laughed when the tractor came around? 😂
    Lovely roads and scenery Noob, most importantly, good memories with good friends. Keep up the good work👍👍👍

    Some beautiful areas you rode through. Growing up on a farm, I do have some sympathy for farmers trying to get big kit down small lanes.
    Glad the weather was reasonably kind. Our stay at the Hafod was supposed to be a motorcycle tour but we did it in the car because of the never ending rain. Glad you got to do some of the amazing Devils Bridge walks.

      Oh, I've no problems with them using the lanes. It was just unfortunate timing for all concerned 😂

    Nice one NooB! It was a different highest paved pass to the one I was shown 🤣 Very enjoyable watch. The gert tractors are quite common in my area but they still wake you up a bit 😳

    Great video Noo, really enjoyed tagging along on this ride with you and the rest of the Magnificent 7. The Gospel Pass is a real gem to ride for the scenery, It's well overdue a revisit from us. The weather seemed reasonably kind to you to, well be Wales usual standards anyway 😁 cheers buddy 👍btw I got myself into a Mexican stand off with a lumber lorry in Scotland and just like you I had to blink first 😅 I suppose it would only be right for the magnificent 7 to have have a Mexican Standoff 😀

      Yes, the sceneiwas stunning although the roads weren't my favourite, but we defeated all obstacles and baddies 😁

    Stuning scenery, Noob, and you almost got away with zero rain.
    Those nasty and very dangerous loose chippings that the authorities love to call 're-surfacing' normally end up in the gutter or through vehicle windscreens and offer virtually zero grip for motorcyclists. Their use shows how cost over safety and durability applies to Britain's decaying roads.

    • @NooBiker
      @NooBiker  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes buddy, it's cheap and local authorities are under pressure to cut costs because politicians make odd choices on where to spend our money. I was in France recently and their roads are so good 👍 makes me angry my taxpayer money is spent on cronies and silly medieval ceremonies

      When you pay for a product, Noob, and do not receive the goods you have laws to protect you. The government takes a vehicle tax from you for the privilege of using the 'roads' but spends virtually nothing on keeping those roads in a usable condition.
      I lived in France for 10 years and their roads (apart from town roads) are excellent. Also you pay no vehicle/road tax. @@NooBiker

    Great video amazing scenery, did you know the skirrid Inn is one of the most haunted pubs in Britain 👻

    • @NooBiker
      @NooBiker  ปีที่แล้ว

      I had no Idea! Unfortunately I was riding a motorbike so did not encounter any spirits. I did hear it was a very old pub, one of the oldest in the land.

    Stunning scenery and lovely twisty roads, that looked like a very enjoyable ride apart from the monster tractor. Myself and my wife as pillion encountered the same thing while exploring local roads. The issue here is the size of these huge machines which take up the full width of the road. I understand they have a job to do but it could just as easily be done by the smaller older tractors of the past. The other issue is the speed these machines can now do, you don't stand a chance if one comes hurtling round a blind bend.

    • @NooBiker
      @NooBiker  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The problem here is there were two large vehicles traveling together. The hill was a lot steeper than it looks on video.

    Having rode around snowdon in the rain and cold I can tell you that you all made a smart decision 😂
    It might be crap but chip and seal is cheap 😂 unfortunately I’ve had to use loads of it for work recently.
    Gospel pass is very stunning and very mucky, I bet the bikes got a bit dirty going through there 🤘
    Wouldn’t be a wales video without a tractor 😂

    Used to ride those roads back in the ‘90’s on EXUPs and Blades, the nightclub in Barmouth held considerable attraction including a very sticky carpet (why would you have carpet in a disco?). The roads were race track smooth but eventually the local feds got so heavy we had to knock it on the head.

    • @NooBiker

    Great video again. Do you find it more difficult navigating steep roads on the z1000 compared to the Himalayan? I'm asking because I often ride steep roads but I'm thinking about getting a physically larger bike in the future

    • @NooBiker
      @NooBiker  ปีที่แล้ว

      It's different because of the heavier weight, so you need to plan ahead a little more and pick the right lines. There's a difference in the weight distribution and wheel sizes & tyres also.
