Very well done! The Outrider deserves more attention. I would love to see an undated Vintage Outrider. I have the orginal but seeing what they did with the updated Millennium Falcon I would love to see what they could do with an updated Outrider.
Still have the Shadows of the Empire game to this day, and i play it every so often. The missions on the planets were quite large for their day, and still are compared to many newer games in the genre. The different ways of getting around ensured that you did not get complacent or bored with always moving in a limited number of ways. The various environments also had some great difficulty features you had to figure out how to navigate through. The various enemy combatants, as well as certain monsters, ensured differences in your battle techniques; like luring the Wampas into areas of your choosing, or thwarting ambush points by duping the enemies into revealing themselves. If you could figure out how each different foe moved and what tactics they used, you could formulate a plan that would bring them down with a bit more ease. Pickups were often located in challenging places, which you would have to figure out in order to grab them. As for replay value, well I still like to play the game even now, some decades later. I would recommend grabbing a copy and enjoying all it has to offer!
My favorite thing to do when dealing with the wampas was to open all the cell doors, close the main door and let them fight it out, one always survived. There was one medal in Xizor palace that you could see through a window but couldn't get to it. I got so obsessed with it I couldn't think of anything else. (This was before the internet) Then one night the solution was revealed to me in a dream. I got up and went to my computer to try it and it worked, that experience pretty much changed my life. I still have the CD-ROM, but I don't a computer to play it.

Yes, that system limited the graphics in the games that were made for it, but it was 3D with low polygon figures and the architecture was simplified as well, but the game play was awesome. My Nintendo 64 has been destroyed in an accident, and I have been searching for another one since then. Of course there won't be any new ones, but a good used one will be good enough.

My favourite ship from starwars, its funny how you used a shot from Shadows of the Empire after the interior shot, in Shadows the interior of the ship was nothing like the birds eye cut away.
I thought Lucas would of made a shadows of the empire movie back in 96' or 97' seeing how the touched up episodes 4-6 was released in theaters around that time. I always thought Kevin Costner would of played the perfect Dash Rendar back then.
I got interested in this ship after I found out the LEGO Star Wars 6211 imperial Star destroyer could be converted into the Outrider, though with few details on the craft I figured it was a good idea to start modifying the original design and add some structural revisions.

Rendar can brag all he wants about his 2400 but at the end of the day its hyperdrive is only 0.7.5 well the Falcon's is 0.5. It's even slightly slower than the slave 1, which has a 0.7 hyperdrive.
I always feel it was s failure to not include him in any future movies. He was a big part of the Star Wars universe. I hope one day they do something and have him in a future movie or in the show the Mandalorian.

I love the underwhelming speeds on these things. 700 mph!? If you have enough velocity to escape a planet’s gravity you are already travelling over tens of thousands of mph. And that is with today’s significantly less technological advancement.

Also the YT-2400 appears in Star Wars X-Wing Alliance (which also ropes in with Shadows of the Empire for a few missions). Pretty sure you can even fly it. Not the Outrider specifically, but a YT-2400 can be flown.
But, most important of all, remember: rebellions are built on pieces of junk with ludicrous cruising speeds and scruffy looking pilots, and the Force will be with you, always.
The "Outrider" definitely had an escape pod (as stated in the video), but for the life of me I can't remember if it was indeed the cockpit that acted as the escape pod, or if it was installed somewhere else onboard the ship. I distinctly remember reading something (classic EU/Legends material btw) online about various ships in SW and there was definitely a mention about a ship that had a combination cockpit/escape pod feature onboard. For the life of me though, I just can't remember if it was the "Outrider" or some other random ship...Now that I'm thinking about it again, I actually think the ship with a cockpit/escape pod combination was a ship that belonged in the Imperial Navy... I start to think that it not the ship design and how new the ship is in star war universe but how much credit you get to upgrade or change out the ship system entirely. so an old looking ship can become a class of it own if you have the money and the design to install those on your ship.
How much did the modifications cost? And is there a separate itemisation for the performance plus firepower upgrades and the illegal jammers? For those that just want to "legally" upgrade their ship.
Now that you're around fighting freighter why don't you take a look at the Meson Martinet (Sidon Ithano's ship)? And while you're on your way maybe you could check out the CSS corellian star shuttle (the red thingy in the end of TPM) Only suggesting of course

What does Dash Rendar, Darth Vader, Lando Calrissian, Wedge Antilles, Han Solo, Boba Fett, Jango Fett, and Luke Skywalker have in common? They are both excellent pilots in the Star Wars universe.
I'd say she was one of the fastest in the galaxy during her days...but during the time period of the Empire, when ships like the "Outrider", "Millennium Falcon", "A-Wing" and "TIE/IN" were active in the galaxy? I wouldn't imagine that the ol' "Ebon Hawk" would be able to contend with the speed of any of these newer ships. No actual proof for this statement (opinion) of mine, just sharing my thoughts (educated/informed guess tbh) on the matter.
