Manta Anchor Installation 2024

Three days, six anchors, a lifetime of experience. It’s easy to take for granted that buoy bobbing on the surface, but if you really knew what it takes to establish these markers and moorings, you’d have a whole new appreciation for the work of the sanctuary’s buoy team, which maintains a network of almost 900 buoys throughout the Keys. Recently, the team combined forces between the upper and lower Keys to install the first Manta anchors in over five years. We have a video that shows you how it’s done.
