I been thinking about getting the Lincoln or Tanner roper. Also love how you put a Spanish flair to an Italian name- Lucchese is Italian for those that aren’t aware.
You just went to a whole nother level in my book!! As a person who owns 16 Lucchese and 2 red wing so far I loved all your videos and when you pulled these out I was very excited. You will absolutely love them and good luck on your wallet in the future 😂👍. They are stunning
Those are nice. I only buy Lucchese boots now, life is to short for uncomfortable boots! Lucchese are so comfortable and well built. My wife liked mine so much she got her own pair.
Very nice cj.i bought a couple of pairs of the luchesse sharkskin in black and the other in brown in 2014 or 15.I have been looking for some suede ones next.Glad you got a pair now to rotate in with redwings.
I think it wasn’t long ago when you said on a video that you didn’t like the “cowboy” style of the pecos and now you’re fully migrated! It’s interesting how our taste evolves, about 3 years ago I hated the “chunky” look of red wings and now I continuously binge watch your videos and own 3 pairs 🤪 Awesome boots my friend, congrats!
Congrats, Luchesses are sweet boots! I’ve got a pair of black cherry Lucchese Carson boots(traditional cowboy boots). A pair of suede Tecovas are definitely on the list for me.
Those are super nice! Lucchese's twisted cone last gives a pretty good fit but to me also gives a really nice slick shape to the boot. If you ever come across a pair at a thrift store stamped Lucchese Classics San Antonio in the inside, snatch them up. They will be at least 30 years old and are of a much higher quality than what is being made today by Lucchese.
Congrats! Beautiful boots! Some spray is probably a good idea. You may consider a thin rubber half sole if they are too slippery or if you are goi;g to ride in them. You can get half soles that are cut in from the edge so it still exposes the leather sole. It’s fairly common on some dress shoes.
You’re about to encounter something really special in your life - addiction to Lucchese boots. The Jonah, the Bannock, the Squire, the Scout. All beautiful, much more than what the photos show. Pay a visit to a Lucchese store if you can. You’ll love it.
Very nice! Lucchese are beautiful boots. I'm sure you've been badgered already on the subject but you should try Nick's. I own a pair that are absolutely bomb proof.
Hi. I agree all out cowboy boot in nyc don’t go. I do own one pair though. I have the CUERO Ropper Style. Nice Video. BICKMORE Water Proof Spray is what I use.
Where can you find the lincoln? It’s no where online except for a few pairs on eBay! I live near a lucchese retail store and they don’t carry them either :(
Great man . I have always hoped you would tray other brands and do a red wing vs series ie Truman ,Viberg ,nicks,White’s I want to know are all these other brands really that much better as usually their price suggests that are
CJ, really enjoy your reviews and I’m glad that you’re branching out beyond the RW universe! I am a RW aficionado myself thanks to you. Are you planning on selling any of your RW collection and if so what is your RW size? I wear a 9D in most models which I suspect is your size too. Please let me know
@@CJCook lovely. Being in India it's impossible to own any pair of cowboy or roper boots...Would love to see your collection. Have you thought of joining style forum.net where many shoe boots fans like us.
As long as the leather is completely dry. If you must store them slightly damp place a shoe/boot tree in the boot. BUT, it is best that the leather is 100% completely dry.
I bought a pair of lucchese alligator boots and I was very disappointed. The pattern of the boots was like they came from 2 different pairs. They don't even try to match the pattern. I've noticed that all exotic skin lucchese boots do not match patterns with each other. On the othe hand tony lamas always look 99% the same. Now I only buy tony lama boots.
1. Don't go to a western town and pronounce Luccese the way you do. Sorry but just giving you a fair heads up. 2. Those are nice but my Justin ropes are nicer. Have a pair in black and brown. 3. It makes me cringe to hear about a New Yorker talk about western boots. If I can suggest, go out west and experience cowboy boots while riding in a dusty pickup or riding a horse. Sorry to be busting your chops but it's hard for me to see these boots as part of a trend. I grew up wearing cowboy boots everyday to school. I still have them in fact, forty years later. But I lived in a cow town in Colorado and that's what we wore. Now get yourself a 10x Stetson. Or a 50x if you have the means.
I do know what 10x and 50x Stetson means. My family has 3 ranches down south with cattle. I do agree a western boot around NYC is a bit much I wore a pair of western boots when I was younger back in Indiana. Justin boots - - I am well aware of the brand. Stating the Justin ropers are nicer than Lucchese? Ouch! I don't think many people will agree with you on that...at all!! Sorry.
CJ Cook sorry but I love my black calf skin Justin ropes. Luccese has always been a more premium brand but I have always preferred Justin's. I didn't say you didn't know what a 50x Stetson is, I said if you have the means. Meaning they are pricey. And I'm glad you have access to ranches, spending time farming and ranching can do wonders for a person. Plus cowboy boots look better there.
I don't understand people. Why can't we be more inclusive? Should be a sign of pride for you to see someone wearing western style boots in one of the biggest cities in the world. As for trend? I wasn't around in the 80's but it seems to me that western boots were a thing back then in the rock and roll world. There's a lot of pictures and videos of Slash wearing them and others rock stars so there's nothing new there. You don't have to be on basketball court to wear basketball shoes. People that don't skate wear skate shoes, etc. It's a style thing so you should feel flattered that city people like your style. It's just fashion. Just to have fun. I don't wanna live in a world were my footwear choices are determined by the geographically location of were I live.
This is my opinion why wear cowboy boots if you’re not riding. That’s like me wearing football cleats on a night out it just doesn’t work only time I wear my boots are if I’m riding or working
What no redwing! Im unsubbing, lolol just kidding. Bro you got so much stuff, i bought some rail car deniem, and naked&famous. You should just be a fashion channel

Sharkskin...? Nice! How do they look now?
About the same.they are tough but surprisingly soft on the inside.I actually wear some older ariat boots on a daily basis if I'm doing much walking.

I was thinking about a half sole after walking around a few hours.
CJ Cook I think you’ll be pleased. They make some really thin ones. Will save your leather soles.
Funny I'm thinking of getting a pair of Lucchese suede booties, seeing this confirms they're worth the price.

yes sir, purchased from their site.
I need 2 about that hat bro boots is a must have also
Stetson Open Road
Have these been discontinued?
Lucchese does a limited run on certain boots/certain styles. A few of the boots I have purchased and reviewed are no longer available on their site.
Would you recommend to store your red wing in plastic bins
The leather needs to breath as much as possible. Every little amount of moisture in and around the leather, will make them start mildew.
As long as the leather is completely dry. If you must store them slightly damp place a shoe/boot tree in the boot. BUT, it is best that the leather is 100% completely dry.
This line of boots come with that scuffed look from the factory.
