A 1966 Mercury Park Lane 2 door hardtop. Base engine was a Marauder 410 CID @ 330 HP. Available power plant was a 428 CID Super Marauder @ 345 HP. Either engine would have really moved. In 1965 the top end engine was a Super 427 CID V8 rated at 425 HP at 6000 RPM. Ah the good old days.
I was 4 in 1965. I see the house had the old C-9 Christmas lights on its eve's.... very common in that era. Like that white Christmas tree... and that new 65 Mercury! Another great old home movie. Thank you for putting them up on TH-cam, I enjoyed watching them.
Hi there. You're just a little older than myself. I was born in 1965 and am the little guy getting his own new "car" after my grandmother gets hers. I'm glad you enjoyed the movies. CHEERS!
Holiday meals at Grandma's were always the BEST EVER! I miss those more than you know. (My last Christmas dinner was from Boston Market... Hmm...) I remember the Mercury. It was a great car. CHEERS!
@@boinnng damn.. sorry to see your last Christmas dinner was from Boston Market.. that SUX! This year, come to my house, I always have room for 1 more!! it's just my family and me, but we lay out a big spread on my dining room table and oink out like pigs LOL!
Great to see another of your videos. Last year I saw the one with the lady that look like Joanne Worley! You look exactly like my little brother who would have been your age exactly at that time. Simply Adorable child
Hi there. Welcome back. The "Joanne Worley" clone is there...just not Worley-ified yet. But she can be seen (with the beehive hairdo) in the 1967 Christmas video. Merry Christmas.
Thank you for showing me this one! You're the little boy right? How do you feel when you see these videos? Also, I'm really sorry for your grandpa's passing sounds like a real tragedy. And no, don't be nervous lol you'll be fine.
Hello. Thank you for watching and asking. Yes, I am the little boy in both this video and the other. How do i feel watching these videos? Well, I don't have memories of this day at all (I was only 8 months old). But I love seeing my mom (the woman pushing me on the little car thing) so young and so happy. I also love seeing my grandparents. I only have the vaguest recollections of my grandfather (I was 4 when he died), but it's great seeing them hugging and kissing. The (obviously staged) scene where Grandpa brings home the new car is wonderful. I had made videos from these films for my brother (he pops up in the 1967 Christmas video) and myself (My Mom can't look at pictures of my grandparents still without crying her eyes out). They are the story of my grandparents and of my mother as told through the home movies. They'd be boring to the average viewer, but mean something to us. I'll share them her if you want to peek. My grandparents' story is here: th-cam.com/video/wz7CnurIJrM/w-d-xo.html The one on my mom is HERE th-cam.com/video/4ss6X0pOBlY/w-d-xo.html (there is some repeated footage...and it's kind of dull until she's with my dad in the red car). I made one about me th-cam.com/video/jO7XWfZmANQ/w-d-xo.html and one about my brother th-cam.com/video/wzDQJxwuwPg/w-d-xo.html . Interestingly enough, my brother had no memory of my grandfather alive at all. i never realized that until after he saw the first movie i had made about them. He always wondered what he had been like in life...and he got a glimpse of him in action.
Everyone looks like wonderful people
Thank you. I thought they were pretty wonderful. I still do. CHEERS!

Was the car a Christmas present to grandma?
g bridgman yes it was. She knew about it, of course, but it was still a gift. Thank you for visiting. Cheers
