I am a self taught dj, I do that process exactly as explained but without opening the high filter and the back spin in the end. It's always nice to learn new stufff
I have my first club gig this Friday , I’ve had one private gig prior. I can’t begin to explain my nerves & excitement. Thankyou for the helpful tips and tricks that will help myself and many others. Keep up the good work 🙏
gotta say man. You are quite a beast at teaching , most of the tutorials on TH-cam are rather overly wordy (with words newer DJs dont understand) so they cant catch on to the lesson. You on the other hand are epic at putting it in easy to understand terms. Good stuff man. When my bros ask me to give them tips on techniques that I know you have a video i tell them to watch the vid then come to me if they havent figured it out still.
I really have an Idea of this but the thing is I can't make the transition clean, but thanks to you you've opened my eyes the missing part is using those filters, great job bro, well done
Wow, I’ve recently gotten into mixing and let me say you make things super easy to understand! I love how you go over it in multiple steps so it is less complicated! 10/10 thank you! Great work
Keep making these tutorials man and I'm sure one day you'll become one of the reasons why people start DJing because you motivate and help people to get better. All the best for your future buddy :)
deym so many tutorials for beginners like us to start with. you cant see these tutorials with these clean explanations in other channels :O I sallute you bro. these contents are not easy to make :)
your welcome bro. :) Your making hopes to many who didn't know where to start. I hope I could be better someday and play with you side by side. ^_^ until then I'll stick with your videos and try to make myself better each day :)
I've found as I've watched the videos gone away for a few days and tried it then come back to another video I start to find things easier to do if that make sence love the videos
Thanks for the tutorial. Just a reminder the serato loop numbers relate to beats rather than bars which may be a little confusing to people trying to a loop a whole bar (4 beats).
I've been playing for almost 30 years and love that I learn new techniques all the time. I can't stand edm music but I can incorporate this into my house sets. Especially tech house. I do similar buildups with the delay or echo and the filter but I'm gonna try this technique as well. I think it will work well with the vocals. Keep up the good work brother.
Lodi eto lang masasabi ko. Nung nagsimula ako sa 2018, grabe ang mga train wrecks ko! Pero sa pag subaybay ko sa mga vids mo, masasabi ko na bihira na mag banggaan mga tren, lol. Sabi nga ng anak ko eh, "Dad your transitions are way better than when you started". Malaking malaki pag sasalamat sa yo Lodi! At ngayon ay mas confident akong mag DJ. I am going to do my first wedding gig in May. With assistance from your countless tutorials, I am confident I will do fine!
Maraming salamat Lodi! I appreciate this! Sobra! My goal is to share my knowledge to the community! And upon hearing these stories like yours, I feel the fulfillment! Thank you for sharing! Cheers bro!
@@djcarlo I am sure I am not the only one that is grateful for what you are doing for us beginners! I may be a decade over the hill, but my heart is still young and loves music! At least now when I have parties with family and friends, it will be a lot more fun with music and lights!
This was a beautiful tutorial. I like that you show your face in most of your videos, but this is good to absorb for a general audience, which isn’t necessarily bad. Thank you.
You're one of the best tutorial maker for beginner djs, I can see that you take your time in editing the videos and it shows. Hoping you will do some tutorials for Traktor hardware or software. Thank you.
Hi. Love your videos. Can you make a video regarding how to analyze a song for cue points, loops, etc? Help us understand song structures better. Thanks
I don't know if you are going to see this or not, but if you can do that it's gonna be awesome, how about after every five or six tutorials you make a 5 to 10 min mixing performance using the techniques you explained in your previous tutorials.
Hey Carlo, this tutorial really helped me out! Do you have a video on how to do a backspin transition on serato? If not could you make a tutorial on that? Thank you!
Remember, preparation is key. Know your songs! This trick only works if you know both songs well. You need to know when that vocal sting is coming up, so you can hit that loop at the exact right moment. It only works if you know there is going to be a drum buildup that follows that exact pattern, or another pattern you can easily replicate with the half-time/double-time loop keys. Don't just put two random songs on the deck while on live and attempt this technique, you WILL fail. Practice with two specific songs until you perfect it and you will elevate your set to the next level!
With 1 bar loop in the first step you meant a 1 beat looo right? Because 1 bar is 4 beats and you loop 1 or 2 beats at the vocal right? Thanks for this video! Nice explained and it will help me a lot! ♥️🌈
Thanks for the great tips! I also loved your video editing, the ‘overlay’ on the spinning wheel. Can you please share how you did that? Is it a package in FCP or similar?
I actually learned how to do that with tutorials here on TH-cam! It's hard to explain via text, so it'll be better to check out other video tutorials for that. It's not as hard as it seems once you get the hang of it!
this so useful one!! and i think if the loop last for long time on the build up then it might sound little bit boring so what should i do not to make ppl feel boring???
Did you pick the next song because of the short intro? if not should i simply set up a cue point for a song with a longer intro? thanks, your videos are literally unmatched for clarity.
wow that awesome sir carlo.. its help for me a lot.. thanks po sir carlo for another skill you give me its mean a lot.. i practice it now po.. thanks po..
That was really cool! Do you have instructions for doing anything similar to that with Hip Hop tracks? I definitely have house tracks I can practice that with, but the house scene in the DMV isn't that big, so I wouldn't get to use this technique often otherwise.
I am a self taught dj, I do that process exactly as explained but without opening the high filter and the back spin in the end. It's always nice to learn new stufff
Your explaining is very clear, and helpful, please make more transition content like this with step by step :) thank u so much

I'm by no means a beginner but I'm still learning the new technology. Great job putting things in context that anyone can follow.

Thanks for all the help, I've since started performing live in Denver on Thursdays at Barstandard. Never thought I'd even be here 6 months ago.
That's awesome bud! Really proud of you for making it so far in so little time!
I really have an Idea of this but the thing is I can't make the transition clean, but thanks to you you've opened my eyes the missing part is using those filters, great job bro, well done
Just bought a DDJ SR2 and came across this video, liked and subbed and I'm not even half way through the video 🙏

Ive been looking for this kind of transition, but this one is the most easy to understand. Thank u

Wow! Another great tip. You make it look so easy.
I know that it isn't...lol . I've been practicing it all morning. You make it look easy and your transition is so smooth. I'll keep working on it.
Hi. Love your videos. Can you make a video regarding how to analyze a song for cue points, loops, etc? Help us understand song structures better. Thanks
I believe that's tackled in my DJing for Beginners video, but that's a great idea! Let me try to brainstorm something for that in the future!
Thank you carlo 😍 i have just try this trick on my laptop and im totally succeeded
