I've walked in off the street to several VC boutiques in the UK, Canada, and the USA and always been greeted warmly and had very positive discussions with the employees. All encouraging to try watches on. VC has hired very good representatives, not an experience i've had with other brands!

They just said just to come back anytime if I'm ready to buy one. Bought my first ALS Saxonia last year at the same store.
I haven’t gone into one but it’s only good business. Nowadays, a lot of richest people don’t dress extravagantly so it’s good to treat everyone well. Also, maybe that person that couldn’t afford it today will tomorrow and they’ll remember who treated them well

When I see Vacheron Constantin's timepieces, I always get reminded of a great quote from Chef Marco Pierre White: "Perfection is lots of little things done well." I never was a fan of gold jewellery or gold watches, but with this 222 that completely changed. It's absolutely gorgeous and probably has the most beautiful bracelet I've seen.
Same here, I do like the oak and the nautilus regardless of how acclaimed have been, but the 222 it's just something else, perfectly balance and cohesive design
Ive had the pleasure of owning one as well but the winding sound is quite crunchy, almost like it wasn't lubed properly but the boutique staff assured me that its normal. Did you experience the same thing?

And why rerelease the 222 now? Surfing the integrated watches wave perhaps? And why releasing the overseas back in the days as opposed to refining the 222 to make it the direct competitor to nautilus and royal oak? There now exists 2 integrated sports watches in vc catalogue - cannibalization will occur once demand for watches drops (which already started). Anyway great watch and discussion but many important questions were missed (obviously on purpose).
