No, it's a good initiative taken by the KTU to reform the value of Btech degree. And it's obvious that pass out rate would dip a bit more compared to previous years, making a temporary solution for the oversupply of engineers. Otherwise they're wasting precious time/money and finally the lives of thousands just for the sake of a degree paper. So from next year onwards, students become concious and ask themselves Am I really passionate about engineering? And surely it'll save thousands of lives in future.
