I do have some more “prestigious” US made instruments, but I find that when I need a maximum versatility, my 1980 AS-100, always get the job done.
The neck alone is well worth the price of admission.
You can’t go wrong with Ibanez, they always deliver.
One of the best guitars on my arsenal, I use it a lot for session work and gigging
I just "discovered" this guitar randomly, I normally play Guild but I really really like this, think I might need to get it at that insane price

Good looking guitar. Didn't think they used ebony for the body like that. I have an AM93 AYS (10 years old). Those Super 58s can put out some great tones, jazz or rock and everything in between. Thanks for your video.

How is the neck on this guitar? Is it thin or chunky, or somewhere in between?
It's a very comfortable C Shape, I'd say. Not too thin but not too thick either. Smack in the middle!
How do you like the tones and playability of the Ibanez semi-hollows vs the Eastmans you’ve played?
It's a different animal. For more rounder tones, this Ibanez would be perfect. The eastman has more of a mid-range bite that makes it a tad more suitable for blues and rock. Playability-wise, I've honestly never played a bad Ibanez or Eastman. Cheers!
How does this compare to your Eastman T484? I am on the fence between the AM the Eastman and a Sire H7.
Hey Paul, they are both great guitars! They do, however, have their differences. I look at it this way, the AM sounds a bit more modern and rounder whereas the T484 sounds a bit more mid-rangey and vintage sounding. Quality wise, both excellent guitars! Cheers!
What year is that AM95 you’re fearing here ?
I believe the fretboard is Ebony,
and the body, maple, not ebony.
That would be the more traditional build but, in this case, the body is made out of Ebony, as well as the fretboard. It does say so on the Ibanez website, as well.
