This engine is garbage.1st problem was the carburetor.changed that.then it sheared the flywheel key.then when you go to remove the starter to get to the flywheel.the three nuts you turn to get the pull starter and cover off turn with the spindles they are on and your forced to hold the tops with a vice grips to remove the nuts and ruin the threads on the spindles.and one of those spindles also holds the magneto in place.what a horrible design.This engine is a year old!what kind of junk is kohler producing these days.your video is good though.
What is the part number for carburetor I can only find the choke carburetor not primer any ideas
Not sure about the carb part number. Have you tried the superseded primer number in the video?

Yes..the superseded number is Kohler 1409424-S
I've had great luck with this, two pumps and it fires right up.

How much did this new carb cost? Is that a warranty issue?
It was a family owned shop so not sure of the cost, not a warranty issue. Any luck with the upgrade?
