    Hey, I really liked this music. This composer, Michael Arnold Kamen, definitely had talent. I thank him and his family for the fact that I am sitting here, in the morning of May 4, 2024, shedding a tear.

      LASS leg/port/gliss would be adequate for this piece indeed..
      Also MSS, or Afflatus could nail it.
      Modern VSL, SF-StudioS, BBCSO or even Hans Zimmer Strings would also be interesting..
      And why not Venice strings for a smaller Chamber type ensemble.
      That's a lot of strings, i know.. but it could cover all bases.
      -Btw, are you using Vlns1 for all libs except SSS?
      Or are you using Vlns1 + Vlns2 for all libs?
      LASS will give you extra flexibility by letting you use A B C or Full patches as needed..

      that's probably because of the noise that is unfiltered from the recordings. some people like it, some of them don't.

      SSS has a larger section of players 16-14-12-10-8
      where CSS has 10-7-7-6-5, so it's more chamber sounding I think
      so it's apples and oranges, but thanks for a comment!

    SSS all the way for this composition. Such luch filmic sound.. that said: However, it's unknown if comparison is fair, because we don't know it the creator has put in the right use per lib. (e.g. correct CC adjustments specific for that lib, and makes use of right articulation switching. E.g. some libs have multiple legato variants, sometimes a change is needed to have the best flowing of the melody)

    Kinda sad that there isnt a single short note articulation in this comparison... people are likely to spend hundreds before realising how not versatile their library is.

  • @andrewfeazelle
    @andrewfeazelle 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Spitfire Symphonic sounds the best, but Cinematic Studio smooths all the rough MIDI artifacts out. Maybe try programing the areas with repeated notes by just dipping the fader and bringing it back up rapidly, instead of putting an entirely new note on the piano roll. Kinda like a bow playing repeated notes without switching directions.

      Anonymous Composer Society when i listen it with my cheap iphone headphones or the iphone itself, i would say, berlin sounds most realistic than hollywood, spitfire & cinestrings, cinestrings has a special flavour, i like it, it is a bit more like a chamber orchestra. spitfire sounds a bit synthie. CSS is a very unique beautiful sound but it is sooo dark & in the lower section it’s hard to listen what is going on, but beautiful sound.... i think berlin is a good in between

    My choice is:
    01.0 - CCS
    01.1 - HOLLYWOOD STRINGS
    01.1.1 - SPITFIRE SS
    02 - CineStrings
    02.0 - Spitfire Chamber Strings
    02.1 - Berlin Strings
    - A lot of people Likes Berlin Strings but i find them a bit Empty but Life is more than 1 choice.
    - CSS are really nice, a bit dark, dead Like a gray sky but more realistics than all others, also you will struggle with their Expression Maps, the owners told you manage yourself, we are a small team that can take your money but we can't helping you even with a little video to solve your expression map problem, No refunds.

      The Problem with Berlin strings in almost every comparison is, that nobody compares them correctly. Berlin Strings have a bit more of a dryer sound. When you change nothing and compare them as they are with all the extremely wet string libraries, it's obvious that they sound really thin compared to the others. But that doesn't mean that Berlin Strings can't sound wet. By adjusting some of the mic positions, you can get them to sound as wet, big and lush or even wetter than the others.

    • @jussivalter
      @jussivalter 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@serox8887same as HO. And if u do not use it correctly, it will not sounds good. But if u use it correctly, it really shines. Despite its age. In general, most folks do not know how to use string sections and string libraries correctly and newer libraries are more forgiving.

  • @oliverpinelli3334
    @oliverpinelli3334 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    First: where is the programming? did you just copy the expression etc. data from library to library? That would be total b.s. Next: Can anyone hear the huge transition glitches in SSS and East West? Souds like a shitty rebowing effect,...In SCS I hear them as well, but when I use this it does not really happen... So this is just not really a comparison worth more than just the sole sound of the recordings...So "Anonymus Composer Society" ...great name but the video...I don´t know....

    • @thisislance
      @thisislance ปีที่แล้ว

      Precisely. I've got all of these except CineStrings, and can hear the telltale signs of a *complete* lack of MIDI massaging that makes this a very poor comparison. It's not just that it's not valuable, it's actually damaging for newer people.
