2nd Most Popular Song in Europe Each Month of the 2000s

- Based on the charts of the UK, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland. I chose a different song for each month to make the countdown more interesting and diverse, despite the fact that in reality a few songs were the 2nd most popular ones for 2 or 3 consecutive months.

Spotify doesnt work for me 😢
I admire the author for constantly coming up with new titles for his videos
I really miss the 2000's, they had the best tunes, and I came of age in that decade.
nostalgia for u perhaps but the pop and dance scenes were very weak compared to the 90s, except for Gaga
What a decade for music! This took me down a memory rollecoaster. I was 8 to 17 in the 00s. I used to love flicking through music video tv channels when I was younger. I can literally pin point when I really got into the music.. 2003!
Schnappi was featured on a Pop Jr CD and was my first German song
OMG thank you❤I love those type of videos so much ! It brings so many memories since I grow up in the 2000s !
I was not expecting to see one of my favorite French song ever followed by my favorite Spanish song ever😍
Oh, the goosebumps are all out again!! This was an epic trip!! Just Some Random Girl 🤍🪽
You genius!!! Amazing video and playlist
Still 2024 June truly loved it here in the Philippines..👍💪🤝🙏🏼💖😋💿🇵🇭
Nice idea, some absolute gems in here
Amazing Video!!!!! No words for this vídeos!!!! Thank You!!!!
Love your videos.
WWE fans might remember U2's "Beautiful Day" from promos hyping Triple H's return in the early aughts.
Pre 2015's music was so good.
To be fair I think we'll like music from 2016-2021 a lot more in the coming years. 2022 to now I don't know.
Yeah. Three children songs and one cover of We Are the Champions by Crazy Frog.
Definitely the apex of art. Those were the days.
*2006.
Wow these songs bring back happy memories😊
10:30 I understand when Kelly Clark vocals of "Without you" line or even like "My life would suck." Also known as "Suck it life without you."
I actually know who you are, you are some random superstar cos these songs turn me on. All These beautiful girls keep doing their thing while i'm looking at their. ha ha haha. I will stick with your channel forever cos you are my destiny like jai ho!
7:29 I love the Queen cover of the song by Crazy Frog.
Thanks you for another brilliant nostalgia video! As expected, I saw lots of Britney, Madonna, Robbie Williams, Rihanna, Gwen Stefani songs. Still expected to see some more Jennifer Lopez and Kelly Clarkson. They were huge too. Are you going to make 3rd Most Popular Song in Europe? That would be super intriguing cause no one did it before
No, there won't be a '3rd most successful song' video.
@@somerandomguy_music I understand that you don't want to do more of top Euro songs each month vids but also kind of sad because everyone is curious what was the 3rd best song each month on the European podium. That would be really cool to have the podium complete, but hey do what you want. Also big props to you putting songs like Chihuahua and Schnappi dad kleine Krokodil as these songs I remember as a little preschooler ;)
@@grzegorzjanowski8353 I get your point but it don't want to overdo the 'most popular song each month' theme. In addition there are months where it is quite difficult to find a song because all the hit songs were already used in the most popular or 2nd most popular video.
November 2003 the best month in the entire decade. So many people found out their sexuality thanks to Kylie's Slow.
Great list.
30 Seconds To Mars, Fall Out Boy, Green Day and others... Generally the pop rock and punk had their own category in this time.
Если бы не эта музыка, то моё детство было бы скучным. Люблю каждую песню и клип из этого видео!
Это самая настоящая машина времени! 😢 Вспоминаю юность.
8:28 'I am Optimus Prime, and I send this message to any surviving Autobots taking refuge among the stars: We are here. We are waiting.'
Please do a Top 100 song's that defined the 80's UK Version
Many to choose and many genre's, especially Rock, with Iron Maiden, Duran Duran, Def Leppard, soo many
I was a child in the early 00s and I genuinely thought Robbie Williams, Kylie Minogue, Anastacia and Kelly Family just HAD to be the biggest acts in the world, with how insanely popular they were and how many hits they had all the time. Only to later find out that they are esentially unknown in the US (I guess Kylie was popular there at one point, but not nearly as much as she was here)
Thank you for making these videos. Btw I was hoping Yves LaRock - Rise up, was a top hit (at least on a second place) in summer 2007/2008. 😢
Only crazy music fans like me will appreciate haha Thank you sooo much❤❤❤
6:26 holy cow, EVERYONE was singing this in school ! great catchy song.
Wow, that was quick. I only just watched the 90s one 🙂
Yeah, you can see how things are going downhill here towards the 2010s, especially in the second half. There were a few times I wondered where such and such a song was - like "Umbrella" - and then remembered it was the 2nd most popular. I guess I need to watch the first one again.
Looking forward to the earlier decades.
Really great songs back then
5:53 WHAT THE FUDGE IS THIS?!?! 😂😂😂😂
Early meme song. Topped the charts in seven countries, believe it or not.

EXACTLY MY THOUGHTS!!! I need answers. What the actual ****
@@blabla1986 But... WHYYYYY
Ok but...Tiziano Ferro?! I remember this song lyrics very well, I just didn't know this did well on international charts!
Anastacia is my favourite female artist
Degeneracy was already very strong even back then, though I didn't realise it at the time
Could you make a video of the 2010s too?
SRG ❤❤❤ MUCH LOVE FROM CHESTERFIELD DERBYSHIRE ENGLAND KEEP UP WITH THE GOOD WORK SIR XX. CAN'T BE FAIR THAN THAT LOL 😂👍
i think i prefer this one over the #1's, so many great songs in the early 2000's
Britney Spears ruled the 2000s
She was on fire back then! She contributed a ton to the soundtrack of my college/university years.
More like Eminem ruled it.
@@sergevtorino nah
That's true
I hope if Madonna, Robbie Williams from Take That band, and the Sugababes are performing well in the music video in 2006. How interestingly amazed it is.
Madonna and Robbie Williams performed well (if not superb) during the whole decade!
@@irina1296 I was surprised Robbie was in there so much. I thought he largely disappeared after 2001.
@@gnu_andrew He was huge in Europe. I don't understand why Americans always ignored his music. He's a great musician
@@irina1296 there is a lot of good music I've never understood why Americans have ignored

Kesha: Tik Tok January 2010
Wow, those are really less known!
2000-2003
Kinda better than the #1s
The time flyies.
I think the very best "boy bands"were actually all female and they were called TLC and Destiny's Child. Not our best decade but still fun and growing. Thank you sir for always bringing us the best of the world. #SimplyTheBest
В 2005 сразу после января начинался март
Hopefully Europe makes better charts than USA lol
Cool era
Coming from the 70s and 80s, the 2000s is really painful 😩 with few half-decent tunes inbetween 😉
Top ten most popular song in Europe Each Month of the 2000's.. that will be amazing.. a we know a lot of good music in the time... but i kniw you will have more work to do :/.
How dare Europe treat Linkin Park like the bridesmaid instead of the bride ?!?!?!?!?

CALVANIZE somewhere?
wished the playlist was still included in the description or comment
the Spotify website never works for me :(
In what world was Haiduci's version more popular than O-Zone's?
It wasn't. O-Zone's version is included in the 'most popular songs' video and Haiducii in the one about the second most popular songs.
A LOT of Miss Britney Spears here in the 2nd place, but a little in the #1, clearly some better strategy was missing to get her singles to the n° 1 spot
I feel personally victimized by U2 ever since that album upload on iTunes 💀
Slow" and "I believe in You" but not "Can't get you outta my head ?
That one is included in the 'most popular songs' video.
@@somerandomguy_music3 Kylie Minogue songs but not this back in the 2000's.
Me again lol ❤❤❤ SRG ❤
Panjabi MC! They showed his videos on MTV2 here in the US. Mundian To Bach Ke is a classic.

For me... the decade pop music lost the plot. There's a handful that wouldn't having me changing stations and most of those have old samples or are covers.
I have to disagree. It's this decade, the Twenties, that is turning out to be the absolute worst for music.
I totally agree. Mainstream started goin' downhill at the end of the 90's.
I mean there's people who will say that about literally every decade, I'm sure in 20 years time, the music of today will be iconic and the 40s will be the worst music has ever been and the cycle keeps going. Time really has a way of softening people's viewpoints
@@dannymerrittmusic there is an objective way to look at it. Check the other videos of this channel, of other decades
- as the guy mentioned, way too many songs who are covers or relying on samples of other decades.
- An insane amount of crappy joke-novelty songs. As i typed this came a Crazy Frog song.
- Very forgettable stuff. Pussycat dolls? Atomic Kitten? These are the "classics"?
- No diversity of genres. Actually since these are the number 2 songs, so there is a little bit of rock, dance and others. The top songs were all half arsed RnB or the generic pre fabricated pop of the era. In the 90s you would go from Nirvana to Eurodance in a month.
- Oh, and a serious lack of edge, "extreme" music. Such as the two examples I mentioned. Something as musically controversial as Nirvana wouldn't have a place today or in the 2000s. "controversial" artists now mean those who do stunts in their personal life, not someone who makes music your mom would be mad at.
And before you say, I was born in the early 90s. My musical formation years were exactly the middle of the 2000s when I was a teenager. I was supposed to look back to this era with fondness but frankly it was just horrible.
@@fresagrus4490 "not someone who makes music your mom would be mad at." this is so childish that I can't even
Some of the best songs of System of a Down are in this decade and they would never appear in these charts although miles ahead in terms of quality compared to the popular crap people would listen to. The 90's were better in this regard as way more diverse and eccentric genres got into the top charts. (some of the more mainstream SOAD songs would have made it in the 90's I feel)

Very short excerpts.
Copyright. There's nothing you can do about it.
Good music ended in 90s with some exceptions
The drop in quality compared to the 90's is already felt
Music was in coma in this decade. It died right after.
Oh the overreaction
Hope you had a great Day. 💕
Love your Videos. ❣️

Thank goodness for Gorillaz, Alicia Keys, Blu Cantrell, Timbaland's entourage and The Gossip, here. Everything else on that list is terrible. The good stuff from that decade didn't make those charts.
rijanna has never been famous in Europe
I still don't know why USA stopped Dua Lipa from winning in 2024...
Europe>>>>USA
Dua Lipa peaked #2 in the USA
So much disposable music, especially in the first half of the decade. Barely better than the US Charts where 80% of the music was rap/hiphop. The 2000s was the first decade where the best music was not on the charts.
No, second half is the worst, giving us a view of the mess that is the 2010s.
Awful decade of music. Stupid songs and many unnecessary covers.
Yeah, that Jamelia's cover of Christine Milton Superstar was really bad.
Februar 2005 🤢
The only song that I hate always much more both in Lapatata and Latamata and also of all videos of Stereotypical Music around the World
