Margarine was initially created as cow feed. The cows though seemingly stupid wouldn't eat it. So the people that invented Margarine decided to market it as a healthy substitute for butter. It is not. Turns out the cows were smart for not eating it. It was revealed a few years ago that it is actually one molecule away from being plastic. Disgusting stuff.

Looks delicious. I cook all my vegetables without meat, over 60 years. I stopped using margarine about 20 years ago, and use butter or ghee and olive oil. I will try with lemon pepper. Good looking cabbage, yum! I like the way you cut it, also.

I really enjoyed watching this video on cooking cabbage without meat, I did it for the first time and it was amazing
When I cook the cabbage I used only half of it to fry the other half I made coleslaw with it
I also finished off the meal by making cornbread, what a wonderful Sunday dinner

I was so relaxed through the recipe! #2 I enjoy steamed cabbage and can't wait to try this recipe. #3 Natural butter "nature's" is a must. Never use margarins with trans fats and more. Always use natural products which man has not altered. #4 I still can't get over your relaxing voice! Thanks Russ

Nice video - canola is probably the most unhealthy oil out there (GMO rapeseed, originally made for machine oil) - I just use butter. But, you are an excellent instructor, and I love how soothing your voice is :) BUTTER BUTTER BUTTER is so healthy - (if grass fed, organic). Margarine is nasty and very unhealthy (causes heart disease).

I would use oil instead of butter or margarine. Sure, margarine is processed, but the quality of the butter depends on how much hormones they gave to the cow.

Just so you know commercial milk contains no added hormones or antibiotics. Milk is tested when picked up at the farm and if antibiotics or hormone levels above naturally occurring levels are detected the milk is dumped and the producer gets nothing. So farmers do not give hormones to the cow rather they rely on balanced nutrition to produce maximum production.

Margarine is full of trans fat (not good) and artificial ingredients. Whole foods, like butter, are always the best choice. Also canola oil is genetically modified. You're better off with olive oil and use whole herbs and spices. I would use garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, maybe dill, turmeric . Himalayan pink salt (it's the healthiest and full of minerals, as well as iodine) and a tiny bit of pepper. Thank you for your recipe! :)
