No they aren’t dork. If ya know them ya dig them since the first album. Zia used to dance topless. Courtney said I hope no one sees me when he played my guitar at his girlfriend’s house. I lived with the original keyboardist before Zia. They’ve always been special
Yes but there are other influences besides that obvious one----engineer did a great job of putting this song in context but lighten up--Even the writer of the song would agree
I’m from Australia I remember listening to the Warhol’s second album in the bush with some seedy, seedy people on a gram of H! I was laying on the wet grass, listening in absolute bliss! Long live the Velvet underground and the Dandy Warhols!
The title of the song. I'm thinking about 2006. During the day, listened to an interview on NPR with author of Beowulf on the Beach. At night, could not sleep and was listening to a conservative talk show on my iPod so I could drift off. Then I heard the host say, "Stay away from wolves on the beach." I think I was awake most of the night.
This should be for real go into a radio station take it over and play Dandy Warhol music and save us from the horrible noise they call moosick that they torture us mentally today with.
again his sensuality who appears... and his voice is perfect for this song who tears-up (again) ! and this way to talk with jaws tightened is pretty cool too ! very worthy attitudeµ.
Love this track (I love this band) but can't help but notice the main chord progression draws a lot from of "Pictures Of Matchstick Men" originally by Status Quo and covered by Camper Van Beethoven. I have found that while Dandy Warhol's are very eclectic and hard to pin down in terms of genre, many of their songs tend to have a highly influential predecessor at the core. Don't mean it as a criticism. I think all the great bands draw heavily on their influences while bringing something new to the party.
The outro sounds almost the same as their song "Plan A". I think they rehash ideas a lot, but their newest record that just came out is actually pretty awesome. Odditorium and Earth to the Dandy Warhols are their weakest albums, but since This Machine, they've been making music as good as the early days.
I've been waiting for this for so long xD Love it. I was hoping the video would solely feature the Dandys rocking out in the radio station, but whatever xD
Fun video...I got to be a part of the shoot...my bandmate and I are at the 1:14-1:15 mark on the left hand side of the shot, holding radios. What a blast. Check out our music on my page if you want. Our band is DEAD P.A. - a little different than the Dandy's, but we love it. Maybe you will too! ~George Blitch
one of the most underrated bands ,they have some great music

Hell fire, the dandy’s are sooooo under rated. The world would be such a better place if everyone listened to this song.
My favorite band ❤
HAHAHA...maybe in your world. But not for Gen-X folks. 😂😂😂
@@kellybrown7671 HAHAHA most gen xers wouldn’t know good music if it jumped up and smacked ya in the face. Just stating an obvious fact.
Underrated is the most cliche word on TH-cam
@@nicholaskruger9460 People like Nicholas that scribble asinine remarks on TH-cam are overrated
I can't find one single song by this band I don't like. A band for life.
Ooooh those harmonies....⚘️🦋🐝

Everything about this song elevates all my senses. So happy I stumbled across this song yesterday, I've listened to it about 200 times now.
I'm only 2 days behind U man 😍
I'm about 6 days... 🧘♂️
Def one of my favs by this band
The only band I've come across where I buy an album for one track and find I love every track on it. The coolest band I've ever heard.
Classic track from one of america's finest rock bands
Love this track amongst many of the Dandies finest.
rips off matchstick men by the status quo
@@darthvader3465 unfortunately plagiarism has always been part of the modern music industry for decades
This is Yet another reason that "Arms are for Hugging The Dandy Warhols"! Bests, dtf
I love this underrated album ! One of their best . Great epic and funny band. I am italian and I love dandy since 2000
Favorite song ever.
anybody else getting a "Pictures of Matchstick Men" vibe?
I am now you jackass. 😂
The "na na na na na na na na" says so much....and when you feel like crap or angry about a something-just sing it and it will pass....
Yes but there are other influences besides that obvious one----engineer did a great job of putting this song in context but lighten up--Even the writer of the song would agree
O vídeo é um clássico eterno, e a música diz tudo que é essencial para sermos mais humanos...
A couple ice cold drinks, some pool tables, & jamming to this on a saturday night with friends. Hell yeah.

You guys are so cool. ❤
Enjoyable 👍👍
...10years old already =') old but gold
Belated but heartfelt shout-out to vid dir Mark Helfrich. Is futuristic retro a thing? Holds up exceedingly well, as does the song itself.

I'll second that comment!

KILLER SONG. Up there with Bohemian

Amazin gong! Great band, how i wish TDW once play in Argentina! Best wished and thanks sooo much for great music you play!!!
Picturesque Matchstickable Warhols...wonderful!
this video clip is amazing, like the tonal vibes!
Clever in a subtle way. The video I mean. The song itself is wonderful.
again his sensuality who appears... and his voice is perfect for this song who tears-up (again) ! and this way to talk with jaws tightened is pretty cool too ! very worthy attitudeµ.
I just found out the intro sampled Green from The Dandy Warhols Come Down. Ahh, I love both songs to death.
they're rocking the show as they always do!
The Greatest!💪💪❤️
Besides fantastic videos
only the dandy's can do this kind off shitz awesome men long live the dandy warhols
Said with NOOOO reservation...my FAVORITE band of the 21st century !!!
I love you guys
Love this song, and great vid... i want some o that pipe...

Criminally underrated

They sound incredibly similar. I'm amazed they haven't sued yet lol...
Jonathan Chalker That's definitely Status Quo's Pictures of Matchstick Men.
Jonathan Chalker Absolutely, couldn't agree with you more. That was exactly my initial thought. Still love this band!! Dandy Warhols Rock
Funny, I'm getting a Love and Rockets vibe from this!
Jonathan Chalker well seen
Amazing song, great video. I love the little cowboy rocking out lol
Another Gem...and the anti-AM Hate Radio message...YES!
Zia McCabe+Moog Synthesizer+Wind Machine=EPIC
Love Love Love them ❤️❤️❤️:'-)
this song changed my life
I love the video for this one.
Quo all day long! but brilliant as do their Stones Vibe...........only just rediscovered these guys loving it all)))
still resisting...!
Surprised no one has mentioned how the beginning riff is the same from "Green", also by The Dandy Warhols.
The outro sounds almost the same as their song "Plan A". I think they rehash ideas a lot, but their newest record that just came out is actually pretty awesome. Odditorium and Earth to the Dandy Warhols are their weakest albums, but since This Machine, they've been making music as good as the early days.
I noticed that straight away too. But great song anyway. Probably intentional. Still knocks current crap into a cocked hat.
i love this free yourself so we can all be free aswell
excellent ty
one of their best!
I've been waiting for this for so long xD
Love it. I was hoping the video would solely feature the Dandys rocking out in the radio station, but whatever xD
Warhols so cool even John Boehner wants2b in their video haha. Who knew he was a toker? Lol
amazing!
zia looks like a princess at the end of this video... awesome video overall!
Good music is not a video.
Awesome!
Great song!!
the ending is so epic!!!
Yeah, I hear the Love and Rockets here, but they all love Daniel Ash, so its very cool.
there is a faint thin layer of atmosphere very very high where the music of the dandy warhols exists
fave song
i love this song
great songs
i just love the dandy's!
KTLA L.A. TV transmission tower reimagined. nice.
The Dandy’s rock 🔥🥵💋
cool tune...
Warbmeister check out Pictures of Matchstick Men by Camper Van Beethoven
Yes very alike but you know Pic Of Matc goes back to the sixties way before David Lowery
LOVE this band. SO epic.
starszy na pewno w tej fajce nie miał tytoniu ;-) Love grass
It wasn't video that killed the radio store ,it was talk radio.
Oh yeah! Here come some more '...Earth' videos!
i like hte bit where it goes 'na na na na na na na na'
I read Na Na Na Na Na. At first, it was full of a bunch of Na, but then it really got deep into the Na of our Na's.
The Dandys rule! Ok!
This bit is very familiar to Satus Quo's - Pictures of Matchstick Men
Lead singer's hat reminds me of Izzy Stradlin from Gun's n Roses
hmm well i do like to talk too but I do think many miss the freeing power of music through their lives and then they die
I need a tab dandys please! I really love this song
the chords are just D, F, C, G
dude you are just awesome
Oh and also... Peter is looking awesome xD
This pipe has definitely more than tobacco
Must have ordered it from the Shire!
🙂👍
VI AMO
@DonnyandtheFuzz agreed specially from 3:10 that beat, then the very end with o o o and their faces, love this band soo much
This song makes me sad.
we should all strive to be this ridiculous.
zia ♥
lol im watching this at uni... and someone just gave me the sternist look! WTF?!?
Too much talking on the radio and that's the truth. You turn it on for some music then have to listen to the hosts chat for ages...
I want that black hat where can I get one like that ?
