Badlapur (Urdu: بدلا پور, Hindi: बदलापुर) (styled as बदलाPUR) is a 2015 Indian Hindustani language neo-noir action thriller film directed by Sriram Raghavan and produced by Dinesh Vijan and Sunil Lulla under Maddock Films and Eros International. Based on the novel Death's Dark Abyss by Italian writer Massimo Carlotto, the film stars Varun Dhawan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the lead roles, with Huma Qureshi, Yami Gautam, Vinay Pathak, Divya Dutta and Radhika Apte in supporting roles.
The film was released on 20 February 2015. Box Office India reported that Badlapur grossed approximately ₹813 million (US$11 million) worldwide.
On 11 January 2016, the film was nominated for Best Film in the 61st Filmfare Awards, as well as other categories. - บันเทิง

varuns character went from nomal man to murderer to get justice to his family . hero to villain

nawaz went from killer to eventually giving up his outside life for few months nd decided to stay nd die in prison for saving hero ,owing to his mistakes

Thank you for this new perspective dude. Earlier I thought Badlapur was a story of Guilt rather than Revenge but this Joker and Batman Angle literally blowed my mind👏👏 Badlapur is a masterpiece. I mean Sriram Raghavan is definitely an understated director. He always picks stories that are new and exciting for INDIAN audience.
fun fact: varun signed this movie right after SOTy.. but released as his 4th movie.. because he has to grow his real beard.. nd movie story spans over years.. so it took time.
while ek villian is water down version of i saw teh devil.. especially on degrading tge violence.. ( well because censor board is worst in india compared to korea).. still a good remake
badlapur is undoubtedly one of the best revenge (anti revenge) dramas of bollywood
Also don’t get me wrong, I loved Ek Villain for what it was. But at the end of the day, it was something that didn’t make me scratch my head the way Badlapur did. It also has to do with the fact that Raghavan’s work generally resonates with me, whether it be Ek Hasina Thi, Johnny Gaddar or the most recent one Andhadhun. He clearly had a nack for ‘noir’ where all his characters are morally ambiguous. And that works for me so bloody well..

No ek villain was never remake of I saw the devil you can check it on Google they never bought the rights of the film and if it was a remake than the Korean filmaker would have screwed him in court but it didn't happen it's just that the basic story was a little bit same but that doesn't mean every film is copied there are many film makers around the world who are always thinking of new ideas and sometimes the ideas do collide
No actually they try to brought the rights. But the producer of original movie rejected.So they anyways make the movie as "inspiration ". Even the makers of korean movie laughed saying that the indian film maker made a dumb version of the movie when they did not got the rights....😂.mm@@atharvagarwal1550
This is the first movie of Nawazudin that I watch and then I become his fan, what an amazing actor. For me he stole the movie what is funny because I started watching the movie for Varun.
