Loved your video! I always tell people that Clover always wins. I've been crocheting with my Clover hooks for the past 7 years and they still look like new.
I have all sizes of the Clover Amour hooks, from the steel up through the XXL plastic ones. So far, I love them all (I've been using the regular and XXL sizes for years and have to replace them every so often since I forget where the heck they are...). Someday I will find a use for some of the steel hooks, I just haven't gone there yet. I recently bought the Prym Ergonomics and am liking them pretty well but haven't used them much yet. I had never seen the Prym set you reviewed today, and I'm glad I didn't buy that by mistake. Have a great day. 🐞
Your review has made me decide to purchase the Clover brand! What really did it for me was the difference in the heads on each hook, with Clover's being far smoother! Thank you!
I have the other prym hooks, the plastic ones and they don’t slide smoothly through my yarns. They make a squeaky noise which doesn’t bother me but they don’t fly smoothly like my clovers.
Noticeably faster with the clover amours. ❤ Same for me. I fly with it. My clover amours are my favorites for my 5mm and 5.5mm projects. They are probably good for everything. I just have been using those lately for my projects and I’m shaving minutes off each row. Amazing. I’m in Amour❤❤❤❤ with Amours ❤❤❤❤
I would recommend trying addi crochet hooks. Have both the plastic and metal prym and love them, but i do love the Addi ceochet hooks. I also like tulip and clover.
Hi Monique! Dig into my channel a little further, particularly anything I call COACHH (Confessions Of A Crochet Hook Hoarder). I have MANY different Addis, Monique, but I don't use them on screen lately because they slow me down. Love them though! I use my Pink Tulips almost exclusively on camera (but I also have the black and red sets). I still have MANY sets that I have not yet done a COACHH on - keep an eye out! I’ve tried Prym and find fhem difficult at best to use. Vastly prefer Clover (both soft touch & amour). Also like Tulip. Both are easier to use, especially if you have carpal tunnel or similar conditions. Tried to like Pryms but cannot.
Hi Pamela! Isn't it funny how crocheters prefer different hooks? I have Carpel in both wrists and elbows (but you'd never know by my videos hopefully!) and I really prefer my Pryms. I am just not a huge clover fan. Thanks for the comment! Bethany
Clover Soft Touch is my preferred hook. I don't like the mushy feel of Amour or similar. I had a Prym with soft black handle and the material deteriorated over time - it got all sticky and ugly and ended up in the trash. Maybe I should like Prym as it's German like me ... but for me it's just overpriced trash .
I have The other Pryms and like them fine. But I couldn’t agree more about the absence of a 5.5 ! You can’t even buy one to supplement the set. Also, I find 😊the same color size labeling very hard to read

I wish Prym would release a metal hook series.

Hi Amy! I just LOVE my Prym Ergonomics. The little ones aren't my fav... Bethany

Thanks for sharing! Have a great weekend! 😘❤😊
You too Tia!!
Thank you Beth for the comparison. I’ve never been interested in buying a Prym set, not sure why, just haven’t been.
You are so welcome Verna! I LOVE my big Pryms...
You can get clovers at target for $44! Just ordered me a set 😊
I wish these Prym were like the original prym with the more pointed hook.
Me too Kelly!
